What I always love the most in this song, since 2004/2005 when I first heard Karma, along with being an astonishing song, are the drums, are the drums which make me resemble a knight on his horse galloping through the fields to go to a major battle, an epic scenario.
For years I only heard the beautiful music. Today it popped in my head to grasp the deeper meaning of the lyrics in the song just got even more amazing.
beautiful, good job. Kamelot is unique... I've been holding this album for last to listen, since I've listened to Epica, Black Halo, Ghost Opera and all are rare jewels, but this one is more near to my reality now! :D It got better and better to listen only now as an old wine to drink and prove delightfully...
I am a king of honor, gold and glory But every king must also die Have I been just and righteous, what is glory I know I've torn and taken life And here I stand A small and simple man Who will trade his karma for my kingdom A sacrificial rite to render truth The fire in my soul rejects my wisdom Cause all you do in life comes back to you I am a king in crisis counting minutes There is an ending to my reign My sins have come to face me I can feel it That I have lived my life in vain And now I know I'll reap the seeds I've sown Who will trade his karma for my kingdom A sacrificial rite to render truth The fire in my soul rejects my wisdom Cause all you do in life comes back to you Am I mad I feel so void and cold Who can tell Who holds the stories untold Tired and trembling I am descending Will I have to stay here and live this life again Who will trade his karma for my kingdom A sacrificial rite to render truth The fire in my soul rejects my wisdom Cause all you do in life comes back to you
TheRedLioness People can copy and paste the lyrics from his comment, but not from the video. That makes it easier to save them for offline use. Now, if the lyrics had been included in the video description, then there wouldn't be an apparent logical reason for her post. Besides, there doesn't have to be a point to a post.
MasterMetallix Or, people could search for the lyrics on Google and copy-paste from there. You can even compare the results there and decide which you think are the real ones.
Sina Staes Janevska That escalated quickly... Might I ask who you're telling to snuff it? You didn't really specify. For all we know, you could be utterly mad and talking to yourself in comments.
i really like this operatic rock style of music. i first descovered it by listening to Nightwish (which i would highly reccomend to anyone who hasnt heard them, especially "Amaranth" and "bye bye beautiful") then a freind told me about Kamelot and ghost opera. i didn't really like it but moved on to this and its AWSOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I've always liked this song. Now, I've read the lyrics and everything makes sense now. Kamelot ruleeeeeed at Kavarna Rock fest this year ... well, along with Rhapsody of fire!!!! \m/
no they didn't get a new singer to succeed... Roy left the band... he wasn't fired like Tarja was... Tommy stepped up and ya know what! they're fantastic with him and he really does the old tracks the justice they deserve!! i think you guys should give him a chance... all the rest of us fans have so why don't you guys?
@@replicant4142 He most likely watched a Devil May Cry 3 combo video featuring this song before coming here. It's the same video that got me into listening to Kamelot ruclips.net/video/CuBFVinbmVM/видео.html
I thought the same thing, too, but then I decided to listen to their new songs and I was pleasantly surprised. I dare to say I like Kamelot with Khan and Kamelot with Karevik equally - even though I will always think of Khan when I hear them.
Immature friends knocking your hand when you're trying to click 'like' because it's not Katy Perry, Ke$ha, One Direction, or whatever the hell else is popular nowadays.
from the beginning of the song to the end, i can see a show. a King robed in red with black trimmings, standing up from his broken throne. he begins to walk down the halls, reflecting what he has done. echoes, faint noises. the past walks beside him to realize what he's done. he walks into a room with a belcony. he takes of his crown, which is broken in half, off and walks toward the belcony. he kneels down and begins to pray to "trade his karma for his kingdom." that king is that simple man
Hi! Whether somebody can promt to me? What words are sung by the soloist prior to the beginning of the first couplet? I can't understand the worlds aurally... ( I'm from Russia, and I apologize for my English xD) I will be very grateful!
I admit I've not listened to Tommy because frankly, it's too painful. Without Khan's voice, I am honestly not sure I'd have gotten through some dark times in my life. However, regardless of what I think of him as a vocalist, I'm sure he's a good dude. I just can't listen like it's the same Kamelot, because it's not.
I actually heard Anette before I heard Tarja, so for me hearing Tarja was weird. But it's the same idea - it's just not the same when a band changes singers, and more often than not I think it winds up an inferior product. Just my $.02.
Immortal, eternal, forever the best of the best of Kamelot.

Are you suggesting that music provides a figurative backdrop to actions which serves to enhance the visual and the vocal? Because I would agree.
Listen to Black Mare by Dragonland, it also has that amazing gallop sound
I'm thinking more along the lines a massive cavalry consisting of 5K or so men mowing down legions of other men/orcs.
For years I only heard the beautiful music. Today it popped in my head to grasp the deeper meaning of the lyrics in the song just got even more amazing.
Masterpiece.Amazing voice of ROY KHAN.Greetings from GREECE

Istvan Turai hello to beautiful Hungary

Thanks Friend(!) for recommending this song!!! I have not listened to metal till now!
this song makes me sad, remaind me my dead father and how much i miss him, even if we are on modern times, u just lived like a king...
Ok, seriously, Kamelot rocks my socks.
I just saw them in montreal with Delain and Eklipse .
What an awesome show !
I am a king of honor, gold and glory
But every king must also die
Have I been just and righteous, what is glory
I know I've torn and taken life
And here I stand
A small and simple man
Who will trade his karma for my kingdom
A sacrificial rite to render truth
The fire in my soul rejects my wisdom
Cause all you do in life comes back to you
I am a king in crisis counting minutes
There is an ending to my reign
My sins have come to face me I can feel it
That I have lived my life in vain
And now I know I'll reap the seeds I've sown
Who will trade his karma for my kingdom
A sacrificial rite to render truth
The fire in my soul rejects my wisdom
Cause all you do in life comes back to you
Am I mad
I feel so void and cold
Who can tell
Who holds the stories untold
Tired and trembling
I am descending
Will I have to stay here and live this life again
Who will trade his karma for my kingdom
A sacrificial rite to render truth
The fire in my soul rejects my wisdom
Cause all you do in life comes back to you
You can copy text from a video. Well done, good for you. Aren't you clever. Your point is?

TheRedLioness That's also a viable option. As far as I know, there's nothing wrong with either choice. Do whatever works for you.

The cry of an empassioned paladin, fallen from Grace, seeking redemption for his sins against God and his wife that is leaving him.
