I have newer equipment but nothing to fancy just enough to do the job. but its funny because i started back in 95 dj'ing and even with all the new sound affects i have i still perfer to do the filter sound by putting two tracks together and bending the pitch. or beat juggling with two tracks. and beat matching by ear. the way i look at it....just because the sync, effects and buttons are there does'nt mean i need to use them
Hey man. Just wanted to let you know your videos are mad! Bro just wondering, which mixer do you prefer out of the DJM-900 Nexus or Rane Sixty Two. I'm on Traktor at the moment but switching to Serato!
I totally agree, however I have found that since the innovation of serato and all the crap that comes with it. The people in the crown think a dj is better just because they use all the effects. (this is not the case i understand) But it does get the crowd more engaged
I was having trouble with my DJM2000 trying to pre-listen to one track on my headphones before playing it on my speakers; but for some reason it played both tracks at the same time; can you let me know how to do that on the RANE SL 62 so I can listen to the track and cue before playing it for an audience??? Thanks :0)
it seems like it gets crowded for two dj's why not just put the crossfade in the center and you both share the up fader on your decks. seems fare. -DJ Mac
Hello friend if you please you can upload a video informing us of as we can compose the crossfader on the mixer 62 Rane or as mesclar otherwise because the mix does not finish or removes the song correctly please thank you are you agreedece much
have you ever had all the buttons non responsive , like they get stuck... , than i hit the beat switch it goes back.. Please help ... i just got this mixer from a dude on CL.. he said its never done this ... hmmm.. holla back dj doesha
Does a real battle mixer needs all this... I mean most of the time it looked like a native instruments x2 commercial... I still don't know how the sound is compared for example my denon denon dn-x1600, which quite hard is to beat on that point. ni-a10 is made of quite cheap components so that won't be hard to beat. The fader is great is which way?? (options..)etc. is it worth the money?? The connect function is nice, but apart from that is the rest just mappable in a smart way???
Mobile DJs maybe. Otherwise I disagree. DJs are artists who express themselves in their set. You shouldn't need to read a crowd if your set is tight. If you're losing the crowd, it's 1 of 2 things: you shouldn't be up there in the first place; or the crowd isn't right for you. #2 isn't the DJs fault -- it's the organizer's.
dude honest opinion don't switch ur mixer. the 900 to me is a way better mixer. the 62 is nice nd all but i would stick to the 900 just get yourself a sl2 or sl3 i have the djm 850 nd i love it..
+StopAndJust ThinkForASecond Yes! Do it all day. Easy as pie. It has a sweet little switch from vinyl to time code. You can even run two laptops with two serato set ups. Lets you and another DJ both have your computers plugged in and mix seamlessly back and forth. This mixer is great and the effects even sound pretty good for what you got on board. Highly recommend this thing if you don't mind the flashing christmas lights.
too many dj's just playing around these days. If you can't read a crowd and make people dance then you will only be a bedroom dj playing around with your bff. That's a free tip to all of you youngsters wanting to actually make a career out of music. Traktor w/ a 900 nexus or Z2 is great or serato w/ a rane or pioneer is also great, gear doesn't make the difference you will. Be honest w/ yourself if you have talent or not and it will save you a lot of $
this hobby is getting expensive
just got my 62 thank god i already have skills to add to it,its sweet !!!!!!!!!!!!!
This gear adds the icing on the cake to a great dj who can actually use the music to move the crowd.
Some people dont have a problem with being bedroom Djs.
DOPE DOPE DOPE !!!! I NEED TO GET ONE OF THESE NEW GENERATION MIXERS.
I'M STILL USING THE VESTAX PMC05 PRO II . (but stands the test of time)
Be proud of your heritage guys, no need to try and act black .
You don't even know what their backgrounds are.. and what do you mean by acting black? What IS acting black?
Aw you're one of those. The annoying and commonly asked question to cover up the fact lol. If you can't see it here you'll know it when you see it.
I really do mis the 90's when dj's had skills
CANT WAIT TO GET MINE THANKS RANE
true, the power is in the mind of the creator. but the faster i can set up and less things i have to lug the better it is.
I feel ya. Never said I didn't like the mixer. But don't let the technology do everything for ya....
B-rad in da heezzeyy
TRAKTOR SCRATCH PRO FTW
Remember whenever your double teaming a mixer don't cross fingers.
nice one there dj wiplash how you been damnn nice but hella nice mixer do you ever come to San Diego, CA? to check out live on the club
"....it does a lot of stuff, you know what i'm saying? it has, it has, you can cue...........what, what other things can you do from it?"
That's bad ass. You have all the controls down pretty much. Sweet! That's my goal with the 64.
DOPE DOPE SHIT NICE HEY WHIPLASH DEMO IT WITH SERATO PAPA !! THANKS AGAIN
I have newer equipment but nothing to fancy just enough to do the job. but its funny because i started back in 95 dj'ing and even with all the new sound affects i have i still perfer to do the filter sound by putting two tracks together and bending the pitch. or beat juggling with two tracks. and beat matching by ear. the way i look at it....just because the sync, effects and buttons are there does'nt mean i need to use them
Great Demo Video btw; looks a lot smaller and easier to use compared to the DJM2000! Thanks for the introduction
Sick Video
are these effects more like midi for serato, or are they built in?
I want this mixer SOOO BAD. if only ihad 2 grand. :c
@djwiplash1 although i dont like the mixer, i did find your overview of it quite informative and that was a great demo of it in use! great video!

Wiplash, I have a TTM 57. Is it worth jumping to the 62? It looks sick and performs rather nice. Gimme some truthful feedback bro.
With this mixer is it possible that you can use just one turntable and still next as if you had two turntables

Cool scratch love it ^^
Love that horn
I have serato and traktor pro...Serato never gets used any more
What turntables are better. Technics or PioneerCDJ 2000? And what mixer fits best with Pioneer/tECHNICS?
it seems like it gets crowded for two dj's why not just put the crossfade in the center and you both share the up fader on your decks. seems fare.

We’re not mixing but I’ll keep touching the pitch fader.
DOES THAT MIXER CONNECT TO THE PIONEER CDJ 2000
How do u use the whole 8 cue points on the mixer? Or can u only use the 5 that the mixer has
Hello friend if you please you can upload a video informing us of as we can compose the crossfader on the mixer 62 Rane or as mesclar otherwise because the mix does not finish or removes the song correctly please thank you are you agreedece much

Can you switch over to regular vinyl rather than use timecode vinyl with this mixer? and if so can you still use the effects?
+StopAndJust ThinkForASecond Yes! Do it all day. Easy as pie. It has a sweet little switch from vinyl to time code. You can even run two laptops with two serato set ups. ITS NOT THE GEAR HAHA YEAH ALRIGHT......but it does help a fucking hell of alot if you have the best trust
Can you do instant doubles with this ?

900nxs*
and.....
interesting
This Mixer 2,156,00 EURO WTF
3 reasons why the Z2 kicks this mixers ads.
1.Price
2. Four decks
3. Macro effects
Sixty four....
u have skills!!!! but why do you talk all gangster??
No mixer can make you funky, or give you nasty scratching skills....just practice. It's the person, not the gear.
This nigga said 'whilst'
To much electronic BS bro nothin compares to da 80's & 90's mixes dat was original Mixin.
Hating because you button push only and can't do REAL tricks on new technology? Or hating on the hard working since you can't do what we do?
For the price of this mixer its actually not as good as it should be.
GOT TO WATCH THIS LIKE 100 TIME'S..... LOL YOU TALK TOO FAST....OR I LISTEN TO SLOW
The guy on the right, is trying so hard to act like a gangster...lol
