In Obito vs Vader, the lack of effects for Obito's phasing is actually intentional, as that's exactly how it works in Naruto. Kamui is busted as all hell.
Me watching Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3 after previously not understanding the connections behind Stitch vs Rocket Raccoon: "Oh yeah, it's all coming together."
I get about 500x the bragging rights being here since the beginning of the retrospective. I appreciate Killua vs Misaka getting the respect it deserves. It's a good episode that not many people give it credit for. Granted, there were pros and cons for me watching Toaru since January (as I personally find Misaka herself to be the best character in the series), but I still very much enjoy it. Also, seeing Stitch vs Rocket get a great score makes me so happy. It's not the best of the season, but it's always been a personal favorite of mine. With me being a fan of Rocket, and Stitch is among my favorite characters of all time, it does not surprise me that I really love this episode so much.
I think the final scene in Skyrim vs Dark Souls would been better if they simply started with each level of the Unrelenting force. Starting with Fus at the start of the fight which would've matched the Undead's weak reaction. Then have the second Shout add the Ra to show the greater knockback. Ending with the full shout "Fus Ra Dah" ending the flame.
My biggest(and only) problem with Guts vs Dimitri is it isnt conveyed well how Guts died. I think he died from blood loss but I didnt realize that on my first viewing

man for some reason i've been binge watching this series from part 1 since a couple days ago and its so entertaining i havent even watched a single death battle in so long but ive still wanted to do it because.... uh because i could i guess? but somehow, ive been having a blast with watching all of this, and your commentary made this so much better! cant wait to see the full finale, and perhaps what you have in store after this series!
Late response, I know, but it's really cool that you've been putting up with me this past year. XD And hey, come its indie premiere on October 6th, there will be some new Death Battle content to look forward to if you're interested.
I honestly really enjoyed KillSaka. One of the thibgs that still pops up in my head is the rundown about her story, particularly regarding the clones. That plus due to a recent collab of the show with a game I play,I'm seriously considering picking the manga up soon.
7:25 Was not expecting the Sonic and the Black Knight love, but I am here for it. I have always loved that game and am extremely happy that it’s been getting the love it deserves in recent years.
You've managed to convince me to give Killua vs Misaka a second chance, made me like Pheonix vs Raven less, and made me appreciate Martain Manhunter vs Silver Surfer more overall. Congrats!
For me: Ant-Man vs Atom: 83/100 Chosen Undead vs Last Dragonborn: 89/100 Killua vs Misaka: 79/100 Stitch vs Rocket Raccoon: 89/100 Darth Vader vs Obito Uchiha: 77/100 Phoenix vs raven: 50/100 Guts vs Dimitri: 100/100 Martian Manhunter vs Silver Surfer: 45/100 Bill Cipher vs Discord: 100/100 Cole MacGrath vs Alex Mercer: 80/100 Frieza vs Megatron: 48/100 Gojo vs Makima: 90/100 Scooby-Doo vs Courage the Cowardly Dog: 100/100 Rick Sanchez vs The Doctor: 92/100 Goku vs Superman 3: 100/100 Galactus vs Unicron: 87/100
Hey Jonathan. Thank you for giving my fourth most wanted, Darth Vader vs Obito, an 84/100. This death battle means a lot to me. I know there are some flaws, but the good outweighs the bad.
Omega level based. So happy seeing someone just as annoyed at seeing toxic people complaining about Dimitri’s scaling as me. In fact. I dunno why I’m not already but SUBBED
We are here. The final season. So that must mean that this is the final par-wait, part 1!?… Oh boy, this is going to be big! So I will say my brief thoughts on the episodes shown here as I feel like my I want to save my overall thoughts on the season as a whole in the next part. Ant-Man vs Atom is such a good opener for this season. It is actually a match up my brother also really likes so I am glad it turned out to be really good as it brilliantly utilizes the two characters’s similar super powers in their own unique ways… if that makes sense. Overall, awesome. Chosen Undead vs Dovahkiin was an episode I enjoyed. Pretty jank in areas but I still thought this was a decent fight, though I do agree that the analysis parts are a bit too meme heavy for their own good. Killua vs Misaka is an episode I am so glad exists. Not just because I am familiar with both series but also because I usually like it when more unknown or obscure series are used in stuff like Death Battle (not saying that no one knows these series but at least in comparison to there more popular contemporaries, they are seen as more unknown). As for the episode, yea, it is really good. The rigging is a bit awkward in motion but I am so happy to see an episode done with some much love and passion. Stitch vs Rocket Raccoon is a really unique episode. I really like how the two characters here interact here and I like the concept they have where one has better firepower while the other has better intelligence and durability. In a way, I think this could make for a good blueprint for a Wile e Coyote vs Tom if they ever end up doing that (not the exact same but just a similar concept). I will admit, I thought I had a lot more to say about this episode but yea, it is an episode I really do like. Darth Vader vs Obito is an episode my brother really likes. Although it isn’t my all time favorite episode of the season, I still think it is really good, especially with how it handles the tragic nature of both characters and the foreshadowing of the infinite Tsukuyomi. Really the only thing holding the episode back for me is some of the awkwardness in the conclusion and there explanation of the conclusion but regardless, it is really good. Ok, I’m not going to sugarcoat it, this is the low point of the season. I didn’t mind Phoenix vs Raven at first but after another viewing and thinking about after a while, it really isn’t that good… like, at all, and it is for one main reason. The characterizations (especially Jean). For the life of me, I will never understand the writing of this episode as it feels like these characters are written by people that hate these characters which doesn’t feel good to say because I want to believe that isn’t the case (which I am sure it isn’t) but this episode was really weird. There are some parts in the animation that I did enjoyed and the analysis I think is just alright for both of them (though Cyber Goose will always be peak), but overall, yea, I’m sorry, this is the worst episode of this season. (And that Deadpool gag you did here is brilliant) Ok, so I can finally talk about this episode. Guts vs Dimitri is FANTASTIC! is it my favorite episode of the season?… I will save that answer for the next part but what I will say is how much I love this episode. The analysis, the fight, the ending, HOLY CRAP, that ending blew my mind when I saw it the first time. Probably one of my favorite fight endings of the series. You can tell this episode had a lot of love behind it with how hard hitting it is figuratively and literally. Love this episode. I didn’t really know what to expect when I saw Martian Manhunter vs Silver Surfer announced but I ended up getting was a surprisingly existential and emotional experience. It’s not perfect, the analysis and the explanation to the conclusion could have been better but those didn’t really affect my enjoyment of the episode, I still really like this episode. Now with the first half done, all I will say is OOOOOOH BOY! I can’t wait for the next part, especially with the next episode.
Yeah Killua VS Misaka is an underrated episode, and personally in my top 5 of season 10, but honestly the matchup shouldn't have happened. I wanted Killua to go against Akame. It would have made not only more views, but it had potential to go even harder than Killua VS Misaka. Plus It has more connections if i remember well.
first of all goated music choice for the intro sequence (with me gets left out so often when hearing sonic music ) Edit 1: 7:26 Absolutely based Take tbh(though i prefer 06s ost personally) Edit 2: Mostly in agreement for antom however i don't like the track that much it works ell for the fight but it just doesnt vibe for me outside of it) Edit 3: Alright, now with chosenborn i have several disagreements 1. While i get having the darksouls rundown not working in the first half due to the abundance of memes, i think it actually helps the analysis by having much of its comedy frontloaded with it receeding as the lore and a more somber tone get brought closer to the forefront, leaving the second half with a better feel due to the contrast 2.I heavily disagree with dragonborns analysis, though i get not liking the cheese calc and some of the memes, though i personally don't have any issue with the cutoffs i can see why that might not work (especially as somebody who has edited extensively seeing how you have been cooking for us ), i think they serve their purpose as a sort of pallete cleanser after the more somber ending of CU's analysis while also fitting the more silly world of the elder scrolls (atleast from the players perspective), small gags like the bucket and shopkeep, the small faction war, nod to it's modding scene and the 3rd best cutaway of the season do help it stand out as the story of skyrim itself is not really that neccesary beyond much of the basics and it's ending with much beeing left up to the players choices after all. 3. Though i get having the jank as a major problem i believe the WIDE Variety of tools, weapons and abilities and some absolutely hype and hilarity (stopping the arrow midair via time stop, the arrow to the knee and to the dragon, and the absolutely perfect set up for a final clash alongside brandons best track (for db) make up for it in spades, 4.regarding its ending i get having the soundbite complaint i do too (it could be mitigated by just using fus or fusro at the beginning), but as you mentioned it does get helped via the effects and the visuals, the death itself while still on the weaker side is massively helped by the complete destruction of the first flame and it's implication as the first flame was hyped up during CU's analysis and the post death monologue. 5. i would pit the episode much higher on the scale but a 62 just seems really low tbh Edit 4: The rest of the takes are perfectly understandable and i have no issues
Imma be real, the only reason I remember Phoenix VS Raven is because I made a TCNick3 joke and it is one of the funniest things I’ve ever done. Rest in Piece Piplup Nick
@@DTylerFultzVA can I just say I initially underestimated you as a Deadpool VA? But moments like the Thanos VS Darkseid and Deadpool VS Mask bits (I got the wink part in the latter ^_^) had me in stitches.
Your retrospective honestly has convinced me to not only finished my "Death Battle but the FIGHT is haphazardly added back in" vids as well as do a death battle retrospective of my own eventually It's gonna be REALLY fucking tough since it's been a VERY long time since I've done anything like that but hey Only one way to get started. And that's by getting it started ♡
Very very nice that Sir Frostathan has inspired such a passionate flame inside of you. But if you ever need a spoonful of chaos in your riveting retrospective, feel free to let me know!
Note to self: If I ever commission Brandon, ask for Jonathan Frostathan as a guest vocalist. Brandon on their commission sheet has this as an option! Though as one may expect its a significant upcharge, which is good as everyone deserves payment for work. I believe he lists a few people he's known for as options, and then an option for other. I admit, I am unsure if Therewolf offers this, I haven't seen their comm sheet.
Also, unrelated to my earlier comment, there's like 15 ish secs of dead space at the end of the video that I think is unintentional. When it's doing your ending bit about subscribing and showing two videos, i see blurred out unclickable shapes where they're supposed to go, but after the fade to black the actual tappable videos and channel icon appear a few seconds later. This might just be a RUclips thing though.
I hear Vader vs Golbez appreciation. And I LOVES some Vader vs Golbez appreciation. A good debate, great chance for magic, breaking of the dreaded FF7 curse, and most importantly, we get to see Vader fight against a mofuckin' DRAGON. Preach the good word.
I perfectly understand your feelings regarding Vader vs Obito. If my preferred for Vader (Sepulchure from Adventure Quest in case anyone was curious) was going to be cucked by anything, it was at least Obito. The episode was still pretty good regardless.
I might be able to clear something up with vaders death. The infinite flower thingy warps time to make things faster making it so that Vader did live his life with panda bear. If my information is correct or not guess we’ll let the Naruto fans decide. The spirit death makes sense when you remember that Vader can control souls like he did to the grand inquisitor in the canon comics. He did that as a punishment and if Vader can do it the less forgiving palpitine would as well. Because obito knew about padme he would have a guess about a master doing this to Vader as well if he did die so my guess is that he did this specific kill to prevent Vader's soul from being punished. Souls in Naruto can can controlled as well so it makes more sense.
Shoutout to that one guy on Reddit who kept posting Misaka gore after that episode was released. You really like making the fandom look like @ssholes, don't you?
1:10:48 - if you actually used davincis grid warp for that youre built different that thing in an ass to use. i learned it in the end but even then its still so rough LOL
Soooo... Death Battle is pretty damn awesome. Nah but seriously, this season was a great time to be alive. All of the episodes in the season were enjoyable. Ranging from alright, to some of my favorite episodes in the show ever. If this is how Death Battle Ends, then I'll be glad that they at least ended off with the best season.
Just two things about Phoenix VS Raven - just stuff that the episode got wrong which you may not have been aware of; Phoenix is basically a walking Ultimate Nullifier, so "Raven could just repair/regenerate her soul!" would not work at all, and while Raven in Unkindness mode DID threaten 'all of creation'... this was a non-canon alternature-timeline bad-future Raven, AFTER someone stole the powers of Shazam! and gave them to her, and she absorbed the four horsemen. It is truly insane to me that anyone would consider this a part of regular Raven's arsenal.
I think this is flat out the best episode as both personally and I think objectively even the with the one bad episode Which goes like Ant man vs atom(8/10): for being the first battle of the season and a marvel vs dc it’s really good with fun analysis a fun fight a nice ass death Dragon born (8/10) the analysis where fun the fight despite its problem was great and the ending was nice Killua vs misaka (8/10) this one was just a good episode Stitch vs rocket raccoon (9/10 a great fucking episode that is just super fun with my only real problem is stitch getting hit by the weapon that they said would kill him makes it scuffed Vader vs obito (9/10) I like the analysis the fight in my opinion is a 10/10 both in fighting and story the only problem is the fact Phoenix vs Raven (5/10) mid everything despite on good joke and the mid characterization of the characters Guts vs dimitri (10/10) the first 10/10 and not the last amazing everything with one nickpick with the lose control moment could have been better as a on the brink of madness but the people they love keep them sane but either way works Man hunter vs surfer (7810) ok analysis a good beginning and end to the fight but is mainly fluff but still the beginning and end bump it up from a 7 to an 8
Scooby-Doo vs Courage is very special to me. It's without a doubt my favorite episode of the entire series. (It being the first episode of Death Battle I've ever recorded a reaction to absolutely helps.)
Don't mind me, I'll be just grabbing my bragging rights real quick (x15 I think, or x20 idk I don't have a good memory). Oh, and also some quick brief thoughts: You know I find it both funny and impressive at the same time at how consistent all the season premiere were ever since season 6 came out like, sure they are not match to what S3's Dante vs Bayonetta did, but I'm more surprised that they have found a way to make each season premiere to be pretty solid overall, with some being better than others for sure. Anyways there's not much I can say about the first half 'cuz, they all have been so good thus far. Well except for Phoenix vs Raven like, geez talk about aging like milk in a short span of nearly a year. And what can I say about Guts vs Dimitri tho? Still my favorite S10 episode. Free. I'm not gonna go into too many details, it just does everything to near perfection and then some. Nothing much I can say really. With all that's been said, let's wait and see what the second half will provide to the table...
Ah, the classic 'Laaaawl, keyloua versus Meesuhkaw flawped!' comments. Then again, one of the main people pushing that narrative is just generally an insufferable pessimist all around, he was the most adamant that Death Battle was dead after the Rooster Teeth shutdown and would actively go out of his way to try and debunk any hopeful posts or comments he saw to spread as much negativity as he possibly could.
will you ever do a follow up to the one winged angel tier list and placing the different prats of the final boss sequence of rebirth into the tier list
I came in about a month before the season 7 or 8 retrospective came out. Not long, but I did go back and rewatch all the retrospectives. Season 10 will always be held to a special standard for me since it got me back into Death Battle. And since every episode has a lot to be said about, I'll add some notes of my own here. I was 100% whelmed by Ant-Man Vs. Atom. I liked the idea of both characters, but beyond Earth's Mightiest Heroes (which is still the best Avengers adaptation, don't @ me) I had little interest in Hank Pym. That said, I was pleasantly surprised by how Hank's analysis was done as well as the Boomstick Science jokes. The fight itself was, and this is a hot take, just okay for the most part. A lot of it was what you'd expect from a shrinking fight, although it had some creativity like Atom growing to stomp the ants and the pseudo-Kaiju fight near the end. Also, the death. Because I needed to be afraid of ants apparently. As a staunch fan of Dark Souls and one who can say that Skyrim was my first ever Xbox game, I enjoyed certain emphases on the arsenals between both. And of course, the meme comments were solid examples of "Hey, hey, they said the thing!" moments. That said, I kind of wish they'd expanded more upon the unique abilities both had and how they could be used in a fight. They got some of them, like Vow of Silence and the Dragonborn summoning one of his dragons, but there were so many more things that I know its somewhat unreasonable to ask be put in but its a natural consequence of both having *so* much to work with. Two things that irked me was that A) the First Flame was given no actual impact during the climax, and B) there was no reference to the Soul of Cinder, which canonically is the amalgamation of all those who linked the fire along with the Chosen Undead and Gwyn himself. I doubt they'd have added it to the fight, but it would have been a nice talking point. WHOOO KILLUA VS. MISAKA! I don't care what people say, I am glad how this turned out. I'm a fan of both HXH and Toaru, and to see either get some rep is welcome. And of all the characters, it made the most sense to use Misaka. I don't blame people for being less interested in Misaka, since Toaru is a *dense* series to try to get into, but the backlash towards it was wildly unreasonable. Why do I feel like it wouldn't have been this bad if Killua had fought someone else? Food for thought. The characterization of Misaka was a bit toned down, and there were a few moments I felt like Killua's attacks could have had more impact, but otherwise it was a great fight. See, I grew up on Lilo and Stitch and adore the Guardians of the Galaxy movies, but Stitch Vs. Rocket was and remains a very meh episode to me. No hate to anyone who liked it, but it just was not a match up I cared an iota about. It was a solid "okay" from me chief. Vader Vs. Obito gave me mixed feelings. Always great to see Anakin and I have no inherent dislike of any Naruto characters, despite my willful unfamiliarity with the franchise, but much of my criticisms come down to the fight. (Also my preferred Vader match up is him versus Artoria from Fate, I'll fight you on that one, JoFro) I do like the gravitas they give to Vader in the fight, like the movies do, making him this seeming juggernaut that can't be stopped directly. I've heard that Obito getting the Ten Tails would count at outside help, but again, I don't know enough about Naruto to confirm this. That said, as a guy who likes analyzing a Versus Match based off abilities and how they function rather than scaling, this fight really showed off the interesting ways their abilities would bounce off each other. NGL the Gmod-looking models during the Tsukuyomi scene always make me laugh a bit and I don't think that's the intended reaction, but I appreciate the feeling behind it. However, I was irritated that some of the ultimate conclusion was essentially based entirely on "vibes". Like with their vague reasonings as to why Vader couldn't escape the Tsukuyomi, or the little attention given to Vader's precognition which you'd think would help more. I don't know, I just can't enjoy it as much as others do. Its still a good episode. It's a season 10 episode, of course its good. Uuuuuh, Phoenix and Raven is....Okay. Its here. it exists. I'm not an absolute hater of the Marvel Vs. DC match ups but it has become white noise to me at a certain point. Just like you did a whole video on it, I left a whole comment on Guts Vs. Dimitri on that video. As to the facts about Berserk and FE fans, as someone deep into the FE fandom and has been for close to a decade...many of them are actually true, but also weirdly vague - being horny on main and having a lot of inside jokes is hardly a unique trait of a fandom. And yes, I am one who was perplexed with how they chose to scale Dimitri to the Javelins of Light (I'm not a fan of chain scaling), but I thought he'd win regardless so I don't care that much. I just see it as a bad habit I hope they won't repeat and leave it at that. Moving on. Martian Manhunter is actually one of my favorite DC characters. His natural philosophical nature and soft spoken attitude despite his incredible strength makes him a bit of an understated powerhouse in terms of character and fighting potential. I feel like there were better match ups for him in terms of choreography potential, but I won't complain that he got an episode. See you in the next part, good sir, until next time!
I love your content guy! I do have a disagreement with a take you've given before. I actually think the focus the vs battle community has regarding Street Fighter vs Mortal Kombat is justified in the sense that they were the two most successful fighting game franchises during their peaks and in addition I believe that both being so different actually works towards the rivalries favor considering that at least in my mind, the areas of contrast between the two are actually quite interesting and adds to the appeal of seeing their worlds collide. They cater to fans of the same genre but for different reasons. In my opinion, that makes for a more engaging dynamic then Street Fighter vs King of Fighter which (on the surface at least) could easily be mistaken for the same franchises.
Your gripes about obitos fazing might be misguided, since that is how its depicted in the show. In naruto, he literally fazes through attacks with little to no effect shown.
×500 or ×200 bragging rights. IDR how many bragging rights I have currently. But anyway, I can't deny it: Season 10 is the best season of Death Battle without a doubt. So many incredible episodes and the worst this season had to offer were 6/10s and I still enjoyed them.
The Ludwig the holy blade refence in the Chosenborn fight is by far my favorite visual refence in Death battle history easily no question. It made we chear from pure hype
There is something you kinda misseed in vader vs obito that massively pissed people off myself included, they cherrypicked feats from legends vader, they didn't composite vader they cherry picked some feats from legends to "maket he fight fairer" when in reality it just makes it seem like they were biased towards obito, legends vader is way WAY mroe powerful then obito, and it put a rotten taste in my mouth just to see them just pick a few feats instead of going all out, its why i consider obito vs vader the worst of the season, because it spits in the face of vs debating by just ignoring feats that would make vader win
1:24:29 - 1:25:00 Hmm I wonder what that reference. hmmmmm “cough” The Granbull “cough”. Edit: Side note I don’t mind the guy, I really don’t. But I just like how he’s sound quite like Gambino high and mighty of his ranking and look down on modern Death Battle. It just not my thing to say to, well all of fiction. Edit 2: Also bragging rights baby!!!!!!!!
With all due respect, you seem to be confused. Sir Frostathan titled this video as such to reference the end of his retrospective, not Death Battle itself.
Warning: I haven’t watched either of the series these characters are from Killua vs Mikasa is the worst episode in the season in my opinion. The analysis is fine, a few jokes I found funny. But, the fight is horrible and it’s everything I dislike in a fight, long range blasts, bad close range fights and kinda one sided But, I’ll give it another watch some day
The Vader vs Obito fight is so damn flawed in the analysis and conclusion because why did they skip Anakin's ultimate feat in the Clone Wars via overpowering the Son and Daughter of the Force aka the Light and Dark sides of the Force. Also what Vader's output with the Force is severed after his surgery.
*HEY*

27:49 clever touch how you used the pentagram since that’s what people thought Killua Vs Misaka was, only to flip the coin to the dollar sign.
Late, I know, but I must clarify that the symbol was the Star of David, not a pentagram.
I am looking forward to how you’ll handle Billcord. Also, I didn’t expect you to rate a Season 10 episode below a 70!
Much less that one in particular XD
Tho I'm fine with it. We all agree it's the best season.
You've managed to convince me to give Killua vs Misaka a second chance, made me like Pheonix vs Raven less, and made me appreciate Martain Manhunter vs Silver Surfer more overall. Congrats!
Been watching these retrospectives since the beginning. It’s almost over.
Fear not, for the best is yet to come, Sir Kirbystar!
@@JonathanFrostathan Okay I do not know what to expect.
In glad DB said it isn't over.
Hope to see the rest soon! You are are an amazing creator thank you alhorithem for letting me know you!
Hell yeah, this series partially got me to get back into Death Battle, right before its newest peak
27:57 woah, thats me!
FINALLY! WE GUESSED THE STINKER CORRECTLY AFTER 7 SEASONS! (P.S. That little comment overload bit really made my day, thank you for that.)
Part 1, PART ONE? This going to be a multi part video?
Yessir! Three parts to be exact! Unless jon needs more parts to cook
For me:
Ant-Man vs Atom: 83/100
Chosen Undead vs Last Dragonborn: 89/100
Killua vs Misaka: 79/100
Stitch vs Rocket Raccoon: 89/100
Darth Vader vs Obito Uchiha: 77/100
Phoenix vs raven: 50/100
Guts vs Dimitri: 100/100
Martian Manhunter vs Silver Surfer: 45/100
Bill Cipher vs Discord: 100/100
Cole MacGrath vs Alex Mercer: 80/100
Frieza vs Megatron: 48/100
Gojo vs Makima: 90/100
Scooby-Doo vs Courage the Cowardly Dog: 100/100
Rick Sanchez vs The Doctor: 92/100
Goku vs Superman 3: 100/100
Galactus vs Unicron: 87/100
Hey Jonathan. Thank you for giving my fourth most wanted, Darth Vader vs Obito, an 84/100. This death battle means a lot to me. I know there are some flaws, but the good outweighs the bad.
I did not expect my comment of all things to be used in the Killua vs Misaka section. Even if it was brief, I'm really thankful for that.
Omega level based. So happy seeing someone just as annoyed at seeing toxic people complaining about Dimitri’s scaling as me.
In fact. I dunno why I’m not already but SUBBED

Finally someone Said it!
(And that Deadpool gag you did here is brilliant)
Ok, so I can finally talk about this episode.
This comment: 🔥🗣️💪
Youre so right.
I'm working on my own death battle season 10 ranking and watching this gives me many ideas of how I can write my video
LET'S GO FOR A RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANKING!
first of all goated music choice for the intro sequence (with me gets left out so often when hearing sonic music )
Edit 1: 7:26 Absolutely based Take tbh(though i prefer 06s ost personally)
Edit 2: Mostly in agreement for antom however i don't like the track that much it works ell for the fight but it just doesnt vibe for me outside of it)
Edit 3: Alright, now with chosenborn i have several disagreements
1. While i get having the darksouls rundown not working in the first half due to the abundance of memes, i think it actually helps the analysis by having much of its comedy frontloaded with it receeding as the lore and a more somber tone get brought closer to the forefront, leaving the second half with a better feel due to the contrast
2.I heavily disagree with dragonborns analysis, though i get not liking the cheese calc and some of the memes, though i personally don't have any issue with the cutoffs i can see why that might not work (especially as somebody who has edited extensively seeing how you have been cooking for us ), i think they serve their purpose as a sort of pallete cleanser after the more somber ending of CU's analysis while also fitting the more silly world of the elder scrolls (atleast from the players perspective), small gags like the bucket and shopkeep, the small faction war, nod to it's modding scene and the 3rd best cutaway of the season do help it stand out as the story of skyrim itself is not really that neccesary beyond much of the basics and it's ending with much beeing left up to the players choices after all.
3. Though i get having the jank as a major problem i believe the WIDE Variety of tools, weapons and abilities and some absolutely hype and hilarity (stopping the arrow midair via time stop, the arrow to the knee and to the dragon, and the absolutely perfect set up for a final clash alongside brandons best track (for db) make up for it in spades,
4.regarding its ending i get having the soundbite complaint i do too (it could be mitigated by just using fus or fusro at the beginning), but as you mentioned it does get helped via the effects and the visuals, the death itself while still on the weaker side is massively helped by the complete destruction of the first flame and it's implication as the first flame was hyped up during CU's analysis and the post death monologue.
5. i would pit the episode much higher on the scale but a 62 just seems really low tbh
Edit 4: The rest of the takes are perfectly understandable and i have no issues
Imma be real, the only reason I remember Phoenix VS Raven is because I made a TCNick3 joke and it is one of the funniest things I’ve ever done. Rest in Piece Piplup Nick
TCNation in the wild?
Killua vs Misaka 98/100
Deadpool's cameo appearance left me in stitches!
You're welcome!
-Deadpool's VA
@@DTylerFultzVA can I just say I initially underestimated you as a Deadpool VA? But moments like the Thanos VS Darkseid and Deadpool VS Mask bits (I got the wink part in the latter ^_^) had me in stitches.

"Shoutout to people named Raymond, unironically some of the most intelligent people in existence"
Does he know
Your retrospective honestly has convinced me to not only finished my "Death Battle but the FIGHT is haphazardly added back in" vids as well as do a death battle retrospective of my own eventually
It's gonna be REALLY fucking tough since it's been a VERY long time since I've done anything like that but hey
Only one way to get started.
Great retrospective!!!
I'm trying to sleep so I don't miss something at 9-10 pm now I have to say awake for this
Also, unrelated to my earlier comment, there's like 15 ish secs of dead space at the end of the video that I think is unintentional. When it's doing your ending bit about subscribing and showing two videos, i see blurred out unclickable shapes where they're supposed to go, but after the fade to black the actual tappable videos and channel icon appear a few seconds later. This might just be a RUclips thing though.
41:40 He was actually comparing her to the aliens that Stitch got his DNA from.
47:34 He’s a what??
I hear Vader vs Golbez appreciation. And I LOVES some Vader vs Golbez appreciation. A good debate, great chance for magic, breaking of the dreaded FF7 curse, and most importantly, we get to see Vader fight against a mofuckin' DRAGON. Preach the good word.
I'm curious, what is the debate like?
Love the intro
Shoutout to that one guy on Reddit who kept posting Misaka gore after that episode was released. You really like making the fandom look like @ssholes, don't you?
Dude, you kinda talk like Allen from Smiling Friends. It's in the way you emphasize your Ts, just a fun little quirk of yours I noticed lol
That wave of sonic music in tge intro hit me in the feels
Me again when i heard that antman was voiced by the same guy that voiced king arthur I fell out of my chair
And screamed
WHAT!?
This video has a xillia clip so it is goated and better then any other video.
Aight, been a while and there's something that's still confusing me.
1:23:23 What's the sound effect you caught? Is it Fire Emblem related?
Backwards Berserk 2016 Clang.
THANK YOU! FINALLY SOMEONE GIVES SSMM ITS DUES!
Oh, I remember that episode! I thought I kept my cameo hidden better than that, though.
1:21:01 As a fellow Fire Emblem fan who also happens to be aromantic, i'm glad to know i'm not alone.
I think this is flat out the best episode as both personally and I think objectively even the with the one bad episode
Which goes like
Ant man vs atom(8/10): for being the first battle of the season and a marvel vs dc it’s really good with fun analysis a fun fight a nice ass death
Dragon born (8/10) the analysis where fun the fight despite its problem was great and the ending was nice
Killua vs misaka (8/10) this one was just a good episode
Stitch vs rocket raccoon (9/10 a great fucking episode that is just super fun with my only real problem is stitch getting hit by the weapon that they said would kill him makes it scuffed
Vader vs obito (9/10) I like the analysis the fight in my opinion is a 10/10 both in fighting and story the only problem is the fact
Phoenix vs Raven (5/10) mid everything despite on good joke and the mid characterization of the characters
Guts vs dimitri (10/10) the first 10/10 and not the last amazing everything with one nickpick with the lose control moment could have been better as a on the brink of madness but the people they love keep them sane but either way works
Man hunter vs surfer (7810) ok analysis a good beginning and end to the fight but is mainly fluff but still the beginning and end bump it up from a 7 to an 8
So your telling me my 3rd most wanted matchup didn’t happen bc they were gonna do Killa vs mistakable oh hell nah
What's youre 3rd most wanted match up?
@@dbfan199I'm assuming it's Killua VS Akame
Scooby-Doo vs Courage is very special to me. It's without a doubt my favorite episode of the entire series.
(It being the first episode of Death Battle I've ever recorded a reaction to absolutely helps.)
I know I'm super late to comment this but I'm glad to be back at club bragging rights.
Don't mind me, I'll be just grabbing my bragging rights real quick (x15 I think, or x20 idk I don't have a good memory). Oh, and also some quick brief thoughts:
You know I find it both funny and impressive at the same time at how consistent all the season premiere were ever since season 6 came out like, sure they are not match to what S3's Dante vs Bayonetta did, but I'm more surprised that they have found a way to make each season premiere to be pretty solid overall, with some being better than others for sure.
27:59 Hey who's that handsome guy
Mr. Moon, ALL fans of Sir Frostathan are handsome. ;)
Soooo is it still the finale, or will you keep going on with this now that the show is saved?
Bragging rights, baby!
How's part 2 coming along
Ah, the classic 'Laaaawl, keyloua versus Meesuhkaw flawped!' comments. Then again, one of the main people pushing that narrative is just generally an insufferable pessimist all around, he was the most adamant that Death Battle was dead after the Rooster Teeth shutdown and would actively go out of his way to try and debunk any hopeful posts or comments he saw to spread as much negativity as he possibly could.
I'm all for chaos and disharmony, but this is just depressing.
will you ever do a follow up to the one winged angel tier list and placing the different prats of the final boss sequence of rebirth into the tier list
cant wait until "season" 11 ranking for real
Hey, I’ve watched all of these!… unfortunately anything times 0 is still 0… but hey, times are changing lol
Well, not everyone can one-shot Darkseid.
It's going to be awhile till the new season comes.
×500 or ×200 bragging rights. IDR how many bragging rights I have currently. But anyway, I can't deny it: Season 10 is the best season of Death Battle without a doubt. So many incredible episodes and the worst this season had to offer were 6/10s and I still enjoyed them.
Yo Babe wake up Peak just dropped
1:24:02 No way Happix jumpscare in my Jonathan Frostathan video
Obito's phasing doesn't have an effect in Naruto. In the original series, it just looks like he's clipping through things.
I’m at work and this gets released. “Internally Screaming”
Who has worse takes Jonathan or Sam
Sam
The Ludwig the holy blade refence in the Chosenborn fight is by far my favorite visual refence in Death battle history easily no question. It made we chear from pure hype
I think it should have been Martian Manhunter vs Vision or Adam Warlock
Here is ma hotta take: you should have stuck with the 77% score for Vader vs Obito.
At least I would have done that.
Should probably retitle this video now that Death Battke is continuing
Nah.
I still think they should have used the fortnite models for Padme and Anakin, not only do they look better but they would clash less
Yeah, I'm here for the first of three bragging rights for this season.
oh boy he's not gonna like Alex Mercer's analysis with ex wife joke and forced 2013 humour (except for linkin park Kirby)
Why are you titling it like Death Battle is confirmed to be over?
With all due respect, you seem to be confused. Sir Frostathan titled this video as such to reference the end of his retrospective, not Death Battle itself.
Warning: I haven’t watched either of the series these characters are from
Killua vs Mikasa is the worst episode in the season in my opinion. The analysis is fine, a few jokes I found funny. But, the fight is horrible and it’s everything I dislike in a fight, long range blasts, bad close range fights and kinda one sided
But, I’ll give it another watch some day
I swear to god if you give Rick VS The Doctor a bad rating, I’m going to…
Do nothing, have a nice day!
And then season 11 came out......
Hype
Yay!
