I hate to be "that guy" but no Dr. Cain didn't remove the virus from zero what actually happened was that during their fight, sigma punched zero's forehead gem, shattering it and basically giving zero a factory reset, leaving him with no memory of the fight or his actions after waking up having a new personality, and the thing is zero never lost the virus, according to the wiki he was still infected and basically just became an a-symptomatic carrier, which is why he decided to be sealed away before the zero series so he wouldn't continue to spread the virus

I perfectly understand your feelings regarding Vader vs Obito. If my preferred for Vader (Sepulchure from Adventure Quest in case anyone was curious) was going to be cucked by anything, it was at least Obito. The episode was still pretty good regardless.

One thing I honestly feel is bad about the battle is 2 things. 1- the way the powers were used. People always focus on output of power and speed, yet they forget one thing, it’s not how much power you have, it’s how you use it. “Uh how can you prove that, Hal is clearly stronger” well let’s look at another overpowered fictional character. BROCK SAMPSON,let me explain, Brock has fought everything from petty thugs and sharks, to actual super powered psychopaths. And Brock has no power, just muscles skill and a knife. It’s not his strength that makes him stronger than other venture bros characters it’s how he used it, remember he killed a shark just to use it to get a kill. He used that speed while swimming to rip off his hair, string up the shark with a new wig, instead of just jumping and going nuts. What he did was smart showing how he used his strengths matters 2- this one is personal. But if we really needed a Ben character vs a dc character, why not Kevin E levin, vs cyborg. The fight is much more fair, both are very powerful and we would get a vehicle battle too through Kevin’s car(when it’s not. A heap of scrap) and the T car from titans. Far more entertaining

9:59 For me, the “2013 script” gag was more a symptom than the cause of any displeasure I feel towards Cole vs Alex, which would have to be the “relevancy” remarks. This didn’t start with the episode itself if memory serves, Sam and some of the others on the cast voiced their surprise that such an old episode would win the champions’ ballet. Which is fine, everyone’s entitled to their opinion after all, but it felt like he kept bringing it up every time the episode came up on cast. Which would still be fine(if more annoying) but then the “long after these characters were ever relevant” comment made it into the opening of the episode itself, and by that point, to me, it was really starting to come off as dismissive and kinda rude. Like, this episode was so wanted that it literally won a vote for Death Battle’s most invested fans, and the episode opens on a “who actually wants this?” joke. As a result, the rest of the analyses “lol 2010s were cringe” jokes feel more mean spirited than they may have otherwise. And to a last, broader point, the fixation on relevancy also rubs me the wrong way, because it kinda says the quiet part out loud: Cole vs Alex WAS going to happen before now, but didn’t, and having missed its chance might have never happened if not for the ToC. Some might see it as a Cinderella story, but for my money, the fact that such an iconic matchup as Cole vs Alex was deemed written off by one of the main faces of the crew on such subjective grounds is extremely discouraging. It’s says the quiet part out loud, that you can match-craft to your heart’s content, but if the crew doesn’t think a MU can pull big enough numbers, best not hold your breath. We all know it on some level, but it’s never fun to be reminded. That all being said, still love the fight itself. God tier track, excellent setup and character work, and it’s one of the handful of Season 10 eps that can’t pop universes like a snow globe attempting to contain the fabled Zobrinski Triangle. Genuinely, I love the episode for the most part… it’s mostly the stuff around it that left a bad taste in my mouth.
