One of the "dream cars" I would like to build over the years was pretty close to this. Was thinking straight front axle, level stance but 8-12" over stock height, milder small block for a "little" economy and practicality as Canada's rules are a little more stringent on things sticking through the hood! Skinnys on the front and wide on the rear, and barn doors instead of a hatchback. I'm sure the short wheelbase on the gremlin would make it absolutely squirrely if it had good hook up at the rear tires!

This will become a classic hot wheels for certain,it's like a dream machine its not like the orginal car is something anyone ever bragged about but to a drag racing muscle car kinda guy it would be a must to own.
Had a 74 with 258 single barrel manual 3spd, in reddish orange typical 70's painted-like-a-gumball color. 0-18 in first (Nothing could catch it) 18-35 in second (not near as fast) 80 was redlining it. (third gear was long winded and anything could catch you, even a chevette could downshift and pass it at 60.) Still wish I had that car. Coolest oddball I ever owned.

I would like more roadkill please. I understand these take time, but y'all have to be my favorite thing to just sit down and watch. I would also suggest more old muscle car's, and challenges
I like the content from Freiburger and Finnegan. I watched from the 1st roadkill episode. Had a MTOD subscription for 3 or so years. I gave up on MTOD when their lineup of shows turned to garbage. Roadkill and a couple other shows is all I could watch. The rest are complete poser garbage. Too many celebrity car shows and not real wrench turners. I do watch both guys on their own RUclips channels.
Umm, these guys copy what others are building or what's trending. The smaller shows don't have Mopar throwing money at them like roadkill does. These guys build a car in 10 days, condensed it to 16 minutes and you're calling other channels posers? really?
If you can't get MT on demand in your country...it's your country's fault with their licenseing agreements. Hulu and Apple TV have the same troubles. Do your homework before you bicker and moan.
It's not just licensing issues anymore. Some countries are starting to charge taxes for international media streaming. Motor Trend would lose money streaming internationally.
My brother had one with a 455 from my old Toronado. It was a 1st year Gremlin modified for a big block by a clock repairman friend of his. He didn't do any of the frame mods and it was fine. No reason to; Gremlins could handle a mild build, and a stock GM big block was good enough for 11s. The main fab was moving the firewall back and fitting a Vega transmission. This is overkill.
Oh my how childish was that got all the way up in the hills first day to make them new tires old. SWEET Reminds me of when we put this 64 409 In a 51 HenryJ I was on leave from the army in 69. It was the first real thrown together how rod we had ever attemptedand it wan't very clean but boy was it fun and LOUD, the neighbors hated it. That even made it more fun. In know it was a 409 but when we tore it down we were surprised to find it was a real. 409 425hp motor with 12.5 compression we added some hot roddy Sig Erson 3/4 about 292 degree 3/4 race profile and we found a micky thompson cross ram. So it was pretty good for kids who could barely keep gas in our parts chasers. But death trap or not it was pretty exciting. 2weeks then the holiday was over and back to the Army and germany then my partner got married and that was that. I loved the HOTROD WEEK 2 weeks back god so many fast cars with a license plate. What a show. It really mad me nostalgic for that dumb Henry J.
I keep getting this car confused with the caddy 500 powered Gremlin. Saw this car at Roadkill Nights in Pontiac this year, 2021. Love the little sharpie notes on chassis measurements written on the body.

Can you ever 426 swap at all tho, fh4 you cant I hope you can 426 and 440 swap
This will become a classic hot wheels for certain,it's like a dream machine its not like the orginal car is something anyone ever bragged about but to a drag racing muscle car kinda guy it would be a must to own.
Reminds me of the Hot Wheels "Gremlin Grinder".
horizon 3 has the gremlin as a dlc car
Dude 😎 I love absolutely everything about this build. Especially THE NAME " HEMI GRIMMIE".
Hello Handsome 🥰greetings from Kate Beckinsale where are you from ?❤🥰🥰🥰🥰😊👋👋👋👋
DF and MF build lifesize HotWheels....For the fun of it... It could NOT be more Cool...
I'm a simple man. If it's Roadkill and it's free, I'm watching it.
More like "The Hemlin"
Had a 74 with 258 single barrel manual 3spd, in reddish orange typical 70's painted-like-a-gumball color.
0-18 in first (Nothing could catch it)
18-35 in second (not near as fast)
80 was redlining it. (third gear was long winded and anything could catch you, even a chevette could downshift and pass it at 60.)
Still wish I had that car. Coolest oddball I ever owned.
I love it that's sick I want one 🤩
I have always loved Gremlins , this one is perfect !
they are cool . i had a 304 gremlin X , best cornering car i ever drove .
I'd say 530 horses is MORE than enough,, especially considering how far you get bent over for premium gas in California. Thank Bumbling Biden for energy Independence GONE!!!💸💰💸💰💸💰💸
I don't think the president has any say in that
@@Sithhy Other than the fact he killed the Keystone XL pipeline his FIRST day in office.
@@Sithhy you will never get through those thick heads. I remember paying $4.56 a gallon when Bush jr. was president.
My Dad had a '70 with an AMC 360 in it. It was an absolute weapon.
Haven't watched roadkill in a few years. Love both of these guys but they are so far from their roots that it's lost what made the show cool.
These guys build a car in 10 days, condensed it to 16 minutes and you're calling other channels posers? really?
Giggled SO hard just at the thought. Way to go!
@@MellowYe77ow everybody wants to get a piece of the pie these days huh.
Yeah, I'm sure tired of seeing whining Euros (and Aussies, and Kiwis, et al) on here! 🤣🤣🤣
Roadkill! What a awesome show!!!!

@@katebeckinsale3629 I'm in Pennsylvania
In 2nd grade I had a HotWheels car that was just like this Gremmie!!!! So happy for you and jealous at the same time. Always wanted this car.
Mopars make me smile every time, outstanding show
My brother had one with a 455 from my old Toronado. This is overkill.
putting the best show you have to offer behind a paywall is draconian.
I love how they dont concern themselves with the little things. Like the ability to Dis assemble at a later date if something goes wrong.
YOU Guys absolutely NAILED IT !!!!! ED"Big Daddy" Roth would be proud
Awesome! My first car was a '76 Gremlin with the straight 6.
Krass and Bernie would be proud!
Car toons yeah 😀
Yeah man
I keep getting this car confused with the caddy 500 powered Gremlin.
Saw this car at Roadkill Nights in Pontiac this year, 2021. Love the little sharpie notes on chassis measurements written on the body.

This is the kind of project that I have come to expect from RK. Awesome!
This sounds nuts, but I swear I smelled rubber during the hole shot ! ! ! Great, loven it.
