Now on this episode of Roadkill Garage, Freiburger and Steve Dulcich are finally seeing through with the original plan of using the C-Body as a parts car. Follow along as the guys turn a straight ’68 Plymouth Satellite body purchased for $500 into an awesome 383, four-speed Road Runner clone for under $10K.

Bring it back to YT! Don't know how many people need to say the same thing for MotorTrend to act!
Bring roadkill garage?? Back to RUclips?? Well roadkill was here roadkill garage never really was on RUclips but yeah roadkill needs to come back. Annoyed that they were like “roadkill wasn’t bringing in money and we couldn’t monetize it like that was what motor Trend on demand was lots like their patreon like imagine a RUclipsr being like my videos aren’t making money on RUclips or something and they have a patreon like aren’t you getting money there?? Now yeah I understand if they do that but it’s like saying a origami channel isn’t monitizable because it’s not kid friendly because that is how dumb RUclips is I’m rambling now but they well put these snippets of them here to make you spend. Hard to believe they weren’t making money I remember getting like 3 ads per roadkill episode that was 30 min long and they had over like 4 mil views something don’t add up there
@@photondebuger45 Don't forget their sponsors!
Isnt this YT ?
Ahh they don't listen to us, only listen to that advertisers money which they can't understand is aimed at us who spend the money.
@@davidking3311 Yeah but it's not the norm, they post one every now and then to attract people to their service. Before, everything used to be on YT, we used to have a new motortrend episode almost every day!
back in highschool my buddy paid $50 for a t-boned '76 dart that would still drive. we were 16yo rolling down the road half sideways. even the cop that pulled us over was in tears lol!
👍
My grandpaw told me about a model a he bought for $5 out of some guys yard and drove it for almost 10 years. Said he wished he still had it
@@getchasome6230 do you remember what it was?
@@jamesduhon8252 Model a Ford
😂😅😂😅
Dulcich looks like he graduated in '75 and hasn't changed a bit. Except getting older. Would still want him on the build team.
I really miss roadkill on RUclips.
We all miss roadkill on RUclips
There's tons of roadkill garage episodes on RUclips, check it out!
@@jamesmartin3533 we’ve already watched them all
So glad to see you guys back on RUclips, thought I would never see you guys again . Welcome back 🙏
@Sam I like them, but Vice Grip is more genuine.
@@bb5242 u ogu link to channel
Got
@@bb5242 vice grip is all that roadkill aspired to be then walked away from once they got a big enough audience and major sponsorship.
They aren’t technically YouTubing anymore. They sold out to dodge and motor trend , motor trend made all of the episodes private for awhile and then started making episodes public one by one including teaser episodes. They’re just recycling old episodes to make money from advertisements. It’s only a matter of time when they repeat the process. It’s a marketing strategy
Ahhh, you guys are a time machine, taking me back 45 years! It makes me happy and sad at the same time.
Woah, Freiburger isn’t wearing flip flops 😂
These episodes are great fun. They show how much can be done with so little, given an ample dose of skill.
A little skill, a little knowledge, a few tools, and a lot of free time.
Yeah these are definitely my favorite kind of videos
Almost no skill at all
And about 10 grand
@@brandonford8092which is not a lot of money these days
Steve dulcich is an absolute legend! 👌🏻
5 grand for a wreck, Mopar guys really are something.
The chemistry between these two guys is awesome. I envy that you guys get to make a living doing what you love. I’m grateful that you share your knowledge, skills and antics. Much love love and respect guys.
This is how I want to be ...with a friend like him at that age
Y'all failed to mention my favorite part of that motor. All big block mopars 67 through 69 come with steel cranks. If you find them with a six pack setup they come with steel rods also! 67-69 steel crank and a set of six pack rods will hold about anything you're going to put on a street. I understand they probably doesn't have six pack rods but still that steel crank is awesome!
Really shows you what you can do, when your not afraid of getting your hands dirty! At 16 yrs old my cousin and I pulled the transmission out of my 66 T-bird with only two jack stands, a floor jack and very little tools. After about a week we rebuild it on a makeshift work bench then put it back in. It worked perfectly. At 50yrs old now we still talk about how hard it was but all happy times. Thanks for the video’s guys!! Keep it up!!😁
Glad I’m not the only one that makes a huge coolant mess every time I tear an engine out 😂
It’s Tradition to
Swap the RR leaf springs out as they have different rate than the satellite. Better yet get the hemi car springs.
One of my favourite RUclips series... Come back guys... Go for crazy trips in dying cars, live the moment, we missed you :/
Had a 383 four-speed Hurst Edelbrock manifold 4 barrel double pumper Holly in my 69 super Bee so fun
Yay, My two favorite guys on MotorTrend.
The knowledge you both are sharing about the engines is great. And the fact that you do so as just casual conversation is awesome.
Holy cow, what a great deal for that satellite shell!
Huzzah! You make it look stress-free! I love the lopping cam of a 383 on a cold morning.
The term "wrapped it around a telephone pole" is the most '70s thing you'll ever hear.
These episodes are great. Especially for me being I have owned and worked on so many cars like these I can so relate to everything they are going through. It all brings back memories. I still have a 68 Hemi Dart replica build on my bucket list. Just have to finish a couple of bobber builds and a 95 Trans Am flood rescue freebee straight body. Got it running and "almost" everything working. Transmission took a dump which we rebuilt but needs more road time to see if anything else gives. Entire fuel system from tank to pump to injectors needed replacement.
Just like when graveyard cars puts engines in. Like a glove
Awesomeness! Thank you for your time.
so glad u bring this thing back to life !!!
Dulcich has the dream shop I've always wanted. Plus has so many dream cars to work on. I really envy him. He's also has the knowledge to make things go real fast. Your a real cool dude. He should have his own show. Dude you rock!
Intro: " look at all those cool ca- JEEP!?"
Love this show! It is my inspiration for working on my rusty old classic 50 cars
My first car was a 69 Roadrunner with the 383 4 speed. Had tons of fun with that car. Wish I still had it.
this car certainly deserves a restore!!!!!!! thanks for the video guys
Best roadkill garage episode but we need the full roadkill muscle truck episodes of roadkill garage pleasee
These guys should do more projects like this.. Love to watch these..
"Sometimes you just got to take a break to pat the dog", truer words have never been spoken.
Need to post a correction. The Motor Trend car of the year in 1968 was the Pontiac GTO. Not sure what year if any the Roadrunner was but I had a 69 and loved it. But my dad handed me down a 68 GTO and he was always boasting how it was MT car of the year. So I researched it and sure enough, it was the GTO. Really miss that car. EDIT: Just checked. The Roadrunner was MT car of the year in 1969. You were only one year off. Only minor differences between the 2 anyhow.
Im always impressed about all the knowledge of different engines and car bodys they are talking about
This episode was a great watch because things went so well for the guys...
Wait, a Roadkill Garage episode that isn't locked behind a region locked pay wall? Never thought I'd see the day.
Epic. A great episode. I admire your skills and determination, guys!
Dulcich plasma cutting in a sea of sparks with the safety Bermudas on is just epic!
I love saving old cars, great use of parts.
guys?? I absolutely am so impressed with your knowledge base....both of you!!!! rock on man!, love your videos...and listening to the both of you talk "toys" :-)
I have always loved the Roadrunner.
Big fan of the Mopar 440 but I have always been impressed with the 383. All the 68-70 Mopars with that engine I have experienced sounded so glorious. Especially with a manual trans which IIRC they used a hotter cam.
Nice to see ya again !
Another Great job guys!
"This is gonna flop around dangerously..." 🤣
finally you guy's are back couldn't watch for a long time
Great Episode!
Nice episode. Great Plymouth drag strip battle;-)
Love this car man i would give a kidney for this one
I love your TV Show! It's the Bee's Knees!
You guys have soooo much fun. Wish I was there.
My first car was a used 68 Satellite with a 318 headers and wide rear wheels. My favorite car is 71-72 Road Runner.
I love watching you guys' episodes it is so hilarious
I like this.Gotta check it out.Anything 2 do with cars can't go wrong.
Got a 1970 roadrunner, was never a mopar guy but i absolutely love the roadrunner i have so many ideas for it has a 383 but it's an automatic, otherwise im so happy with it especially since there's just one other roadrunner in town but it's a 72 or 73 i think
where are the videos? I don't believe you.
seeing a car lunge forward before a burnout makes me all warm and fuzzy hahaha
Nice work
Love this project!!!
Fun video, thanks guys
That looks similar to my 74 Roadrunner (factory 400, 4spd car, 1 of 280 built that year, even a similar color) that my little sister wrapped around a telephone pole on a rainy day, only was the driver's door, rocker and roof but it still it still ran and I drove it home after pulling it off the pole.
them Duke boys !
Making me dream guy's. 💪
Man I remember binge watching roadkill way back when. I just seen a yt short and it relit my interest!
Yea I feel good about the progress microcosmic
seen this thrice love it
Here in New zealand we had Aussie assembled Chrysler Valiants 2 door hard tops that look like Dodge darts ,our Valiants first had 225 slope 6 ,then the Aussie developed 245 ,265 c Hemi 6 cly that in the later model valiant charger E49 ,3x webers big cam big horse power 6 ,4spd did a 14 sec 1/4 off the show room floor and was a match for the V8 Fords and Holdens at Bathurst Australia ,Great to see Mopar content ,Mopar or no car lol
I think the GTO was the Motor trend car of the year for 1968.
Only thing I missed about them on RUclips is the MT+ app needs a comment section for each video.
Cool too see tht u guys could straighten tht huge t bent out
Love old Mopars! One car died but gave another life!
LOOVE dropping a frame down on an engine
Best show ever
You guys are awesome
I think this is my favorite road kill car because it's a cool b body but with a little knowledge and a little budget anyone could replicate this build
Wrapped around a light pole was how my first car,a 340 70 cuda, died along with the guy who bought it. Also he had restored it to new with a 440 and black paint a few weeks before.
Amazing for a "left" circle track!! 🤣🙌✌
That's sick
Just thinking about the guy at graveyard cars fixing that roadrunner lol
Ye Gods! I'd like to have seen the lampost...😯
I do like the Roadrunner. It doesn't shout too loudly. Just goes!
A good job, guys. Let's have more of the same!👍
These guys take the impossible dream come true
This guy has lots cool car sitting there
I know you guys are all about the rat rod look of these cars. But I sincerely hope you take the time to somewhat restore this road runner clone
'Survivors' no restorations here...you need to check out 'graveyard cars' for restore with Mark Wohrman
It's awesome that this icon of the muscle car Era was resurrected
It turns out that banjo music appears to be the most appropriate for all Roadkill related content.
Furberger and Dullbich,are a good pair,😊
Rust Valley Restorers really good too
I love your old vids
All right roadkill
I don't know what dolchic,s history is but the man seems to know everything about cars and seems to be able to fix anything.
Muscle car prices have really gone up. I paid $5,000 for a 69 Roadrunner that had a straight rust free body, running and complete. Granted it was like 30 years ago lol.
Those guys are amazing
Lol not really
They're both older than you think, freiburger is 75 years old! You would never know looking at him
Jesus
He’s 54 LOL
The websites that say that he’s in his 70s also say that Mike Finnegan is 80 😂
Time is money they say,but not a bad way to get a none matching # RR...enjoy all this RK stuff.
383 and 340 are two of the best
One of the many cars over the years was a 1968 Road Runner. 383 4-spd.
Still my favorite RK/RKG project to date! It's the perfect desert thrasher! Bummed Dulcich put the new quarter on, hope he paints it to match.
I don't know why they're all crazy about a 383 I used to have a 65 GTO and I never ever lost to a 383 road runner ever used to pick on them
When their junk is better than any muscle car you will ever own..... :(
& it cost less to build than a used hatchback… you could feasibly do it for even cheaper if you have a little hand strength…
😂 That junk is embarrassingly slow for what it is. A 498 cid with a 8-71 and race heads running 11's.
