One of the things i want to do before i die is visit Ireland and witness one of these sessions in person
Nice little pub and jam session. Definitely has a local feel tp it. 🎶
Not a ‘ jam ‘ session, (that’s jazz) just a session, no jamming, these are traditional tunes played and shared between musicians and listeners. Good music!Perhaps 200 years of musical experience around that table?
A good seisún
with no bass or drum, how did they control the tempo
Great session. Any idea on tune names?
No, it was just an informal jam session.
I can’t recall the first one right now. Second is pipe on the hob, third is Molloy’s
The Cash Jig?
Lark on the Strand (not the common one). My source for the name is Mike Rafferty’s Speed 78 cd
@@thomfiel Great music! Although it's not a jam session. It's traditional tunes they're playing.
as an indian i must i irish music is sooo much better than indian music
Not sure which I like better. If I ever visit India, then I'll sample some of the music there as well.
@@thomfiel bro indian music sucks
dont feel bad, irish music is better than everyone's music
Some theories say that Celtic music originated from northern India!
@@brucecurtis6281 i've heard the irish language has roots in the east too. Pretty cool
Lovely session. Thank you. However, please leave out the word "jam" it just ain't. It's just a session.
