I really enjoyed assisting building the rocket assisted dehydrator back in 2021. I’ll be constructing my own hopefully next summer.

I live in a tropical climate with lots of sun but having the function of it operating at night with the rocket assist would be great! I definitely need to build one of these.
Bro, I live in a tropical climate too, it would totally still work at night with just those rocks When I go to get in my car, you have to make sure if it's the afternoon, to not touch the metal on the outside of the car One time somebody gave me one of those thermometers that you put on your dashboard, the second day I owned it. I came into the car and it was melted onto the dash
So cool to see all the experiments and the final - best version! Also, nice that you offer the plans for sale so other folks don't have to spend years experimenting!
There is so much space! You could probably get a whole bushel of food in there! I just have a little countertop dehydrator. I would love to build one of these that run on sun and wood. So cool. Thanks for sharing!
If you want to try it out, consider staying at Wheaton Labs through the SEPPer program or joining the bootcamp! I was able to use the Solar Dehydrator with Rocket Assist to dehydrate 2lbs each of kale and sweet potato chips. Both while Stephen was also drying apples at the same time!
I appreciate the versatility that the dehydrator has so your not limited on cloudy days. Do you find when you fire the rocket assist that you have to do a long burn?
Number 6,.. or plan F? A.5? 1.5? Nice to have some heated mass. Sometimes, around here, partially dehydrated stuff that doesn't get completely dried during the day, will reabsorb moisture again at night.

So many designs! This does look like the ultimate in food drying technology.
Love this!!! We have the hanging dehydrators but this def is now on my list!!
I love using that rocket-boosted dehydrator throughout the winter. :) --Stephen
Thank you. This is clever.

Short burn. Just light a few sticks and walk away. So maybe three minutes to get it started is all.
