Missed you! I lost my stitchy bug…. I stepped out of my box and went with a designer I have never stitched with. Everything was different from a pattern to floss. It was so fun… boom🎉 stitchy bug was back. Hope this helps♥️

Liz, you’re delightful to watch. Love to see you anytime you have bandwidth to film. The squeeze of life is a challenge. A video of yours and your friend’s Prairie Schooler patterns would be so fun. Sometimes if I organize my cross stitch stash and projects it helps to clear my head and refocus what I really want to stitch. Do what you love and it will come back around. 🤗

I’m so happy with your Jingle Ball kit. I signed up for two other classes that I’m still having trouble finding all the threads, (and I have three local needle stores within an hour)!
I’m a quilter who is getting back to cross stitch after a 30 year hiatus. I do go thru stages when I have lost my quilting mojo and I typically just Gaga over quilting. It is even kind of scary to me when it happens. What helps me get back on track is to switch to a different mode of creating. I also knit, crochet, and dabble in weaving. And now back at cross stitch. Every time, I do find my way back to my first love of quilting. And at this point in my life have figured out that as long as I am creating, life is good. Sometimes when our stitching or whatever becomes all about being a job, it loses its magic. We just need patience and it will return. ❤
Fun! Excited to see you! I understand losing the desire to stitch. I recently finished a dear friend and couldn’t stitch for a few weeks. I’m back to stitching but it had to be a new start to come back. ❤
I love your Plaid Bird! Birds and flowers are my favorite to stitch!! Do a parade now so we can see all the goodies and it will help stagger all the parades 😊. I love Prairie Schooler! Beautiful fabrics! I love watching any flip through videos!
Glad to see back again! I love your new designs! As for the Dimensions SAL, I barely have a start on mine so I hope you keep your stitch going and show it periodically. I started in the middle with the window sashing. I’ve been working on it recently and decided I probably need to utilize thread parking and go line by line. I also got the Gift Shop and the Toy Shoppe. They are challenging little projects! I watch for Veronique Enginger and Helene Barre books on Thriftbooks and Abe Books. I hope to snag a bargain. I’ve found a number of great cross stitch books on those sites.

I missed your cheerful flosstubes. Glad you decided to come back! I totally understand loosing your stitching mojo. I've kind of been that way about quilting this year and have been cross stitching instead. I think we find our inspiration in different ways and eventually work our way back home to the things we love. Be kind to yourself. Your designs are beautiful and I can't wait to see what you do next! ❤

I’m so glad you shared about losing your stitchy bug and there is no shame in that! Only encouragement to all of us to know it happens! And we are all human ♥️ As absence makes the heart grow fonder, it’s great to hear that you are missing it. All things in their right time 🍂 and it’s really about what brings you joy on any given day. From what I know of your videos and beautiful designs, the bug is just taking a break to gear up for new and wonderful things. ☺️🧵

So happy to see you! I lose my stitchy bug all the time, that's why I also knit and quilt. Rotating my crafts seems to happen naturally. I'm on the verge of losing my knitting bug right now and regaining stitchiness! Maybe you will too. No stress!

Last year, I chickened out on the Jingle Ball. You've heightened my excitement. I signed up and got into your "A" class. I can't wait. My only fear is that it will be over stimulating for me. Wrong... I have a second fear... shopping! Anyway, I can't wait! Thanks for enabling me.

It was so wonderful to see you back! I am signed up for your class and definitely looking forward to it! Stitchy bugs come and go, but our crafting and making bugs always stay so I’m glad you’ve been creating and doing in other craftiness but I get the feeling the stitchiness is soon going to return in full mode.

So nice to have you back - and thanks for the inspiration. I lost my mojo due to having breast cancer this past summer. Finally getting the urge to pick my stitching up again.
I'm sorry to read about your cancer. I'm in a cancer support group where the people mostly have breast cancer; Mine is stage IV colon cancer, and I'm just getting my mojo back too. I hope you continue to feel better. Best wishes and prayers are being sent your way.
Welcome back. I am so very happy to have you back. I have watched in the past but never commented on any Flosstube until just recently. I'm an old gal that figured I have nothing to share... Even though I've been stitching since I was about five! Well, take care. And I sure wish I could take part in any of your events.. But finances at 72 years old are usually taken up by meds!!

I lost my stitching mojo too for a while. Mostly because of health issues, which caused me to lose my desire to do anything. I'm feeling a bit better now though, and I've been stitching more.
Hi! This is the first time I've seen one of your flosstubes, but it certainly will not be the last. You have so much energy and creativity! I've looked at some of your patterns (Note to self: 2025 - add a Liz Matthews pattern to my list of things I'd like to do...)
About losing your Stitching Bug - I think we all lose it once in awhile, for a lot of different reasons. And taking time away from stitching seems to be the only way to let the Stitching Bug come back from its vacation cruise to Alaska to watch the whales.
I have had that challenge before, and it can be overwhelming and dispiriting to go through. It sounds to me like you want to get back into the swing of things, which is good!
However, I have found out that sometimes it's best to start with small pieces that you can FFO quickly. Doing that is sort of like building up muscles that you haven't used for awhile. They may need training coming from different directions.
I think a WIP parade in November is a GREAT idea!
Starting a piece from a designer who is new to you is a good option, as well!
Be kind to yourself and remember that what you've been experiencing is familiar to a lot of stitchers and people in general.
I'm going to go and look at the earlier video about the releases for Christmas!
