My buffer needs a serious buffing…lol. But I’m working on it. By the end of the year, my goal is to have a $500 bill buffer. 😊

Good for you doing the overtime to make your goals. I like that you will do 500 dollars as your buffer. That is a comfortable place to be. I would like weekly budget breakdown since I get a week check.😊

Wow you don't have to do that. That's kind of you. I have been wanting to write my own version of a budget breakdown sheet and have not been able to find one already made that fits me. I don't always feel motivated since I have scitzoaffective disorder. I'll look out for your video and your tips.

We all need a $1000 emergency fund
A buffer
And a rainy day fund..
I couldn’t agree me! I need to find a way to build my buffer quickly. My savings and emergency fund are at a great amount where even small contributions make it look nice. ☺️❤️

I’m keeping my buffer around $600
My rainy day fund is just my spare coins.. But it’s in a high yield acct..I can’t wrap my head around multiple accts just yet.. if you have a emergency fund just keep adding to it
I’m not sure why a savings acct is really needed.. however a rainy day fund is for un- budgeted..maybe you can help me understand the concept of a additional savings ..Too many categories can be overwhelming on a low income at least for me it is..
@@donnamcclenton7340 I keep my savings and emergency fund in the same high yield savings account. I don’t encourage having multiple accounts either and that’s the same concept I keep for my cash envelopes. The less the better for me. My buffer stays in checking account, EF/Savings/Rainy Day share the same HYSA. My future home has a separate HYSA because I want that money completely separate ☺️
@@ohshebudgets ok makes sense the only thing I did different is instead of saving jars of change I put it in a high yield acct .. and it builds fast..and I’m doing this everytime I spend ..and I opened with $5 the last week of January 2023 and it’s already at $90 I don’t bother my change so why not get a little interest off of it..

I wish I had an overtime option for real. I can do the after school program, but since I got there late, I’m just a sub when needed. I plan on doing summer school though.
Can you try getting there earlier? The only official overtime is when I work overnight, usually 12:30-4ish. Other than that I just try to add 15 minutes to each day, so clocking in just a little earlier to get my systems up and running and ready to go or running over a few minutes at the end of the day.

Hey Shadavia! I have a Buffer envelope I just have to get enough funds to be able to stuff it, also when is the best time to do a budget breakdown right before you get paid or the day of payday.
I personally like before I’m paid. I can see how much my paycheck will be on Wednesday’s so that’s when I do my personal budget or at least try to. That way you can tell your money where to go as soon as you get it. ☺️❤️
@@ohshebudgets makes a lot of sense, I just need to start creating a budget breakdown in general so I can stop trying to stuff more money than I have in 10 different envelopes when I know I only have enough leftover funds to stuff maybe 3.
