    You’ve done everything by the book from what I can see. I read in a forum the best way to prime those pumps is to pull the hose like you did for the suction screen and squirt hyguard directly into the pump. But no real way to check the pump. They say if you plan on letting her sit for a few months or longer to park her nose down to keep the pump from losing prime. Hope that helps. I started following your channel just for all the maintenance info you’ve posted on your 450G. Helpful is putting it lightly. Keep those videos coming👍🏼

      Thank you! I have learned a lot by working on it myself. I meant to squirt some Hy-guard into the pump but failed to do so.

      @@planeanddirtsimple I’m right there with you on that. It’s been a learning curve for me as well. It’s easy to forget little stuff like that when your trying to slam a machine back together! But I’m experiencing some steering issues too, so I’m very interested in how that hyguard works for you.

    Che tipo di olio porta trasmissione del 450 dozer

    My 450 is struggling to push a blade full of dirt and pretty much quits moving when on sharp inclines, forward or reverse. Have you ever experienced anything like this with yours? Thanks

    • @planeanddirtsimple
      @planeanddirtsimple  3 месяца назад

      I have not experienced that. So when you say it quits do you mean engine is still running and machine just won’t move or does engine die?
      My machine is direct drive(no torque converter), non turbo. I think some machines have one or maybe both of those. There could be a problem there. If engine is still running and machine just won’t move it maybe torque converter.
      Have you checked the suction screen off the transmission? It’s in the belly in front of the transmission. I think I showed it in this video.
      Check your fuel filter if engine is quitting.
      Hydraulic pump may have problems.
      Let me know if engine is quitting or machine just stops with engine still running.

      @@planeanddirtsimple thank you for your response. I was up late watching your videos last night. Love the citation videos.
      As far as the dozer, engine rpms are unaffected. It just wants to slow to a stop anytime there’s a lot of dirt in front of the blade or if I try to go up a sharp incline. I’m thinking about doing the suction screen. That’s how I found this video to begin with.

      @AnthonyDelmedico thank you. I have a friend that worked for John Deere for years on these machines. I will ask him for ideas. Sounds like a converter related issue. What year model?

    • @planeanddirtsimple
      @planeanddirtsimple  2 месяца назад +1

      Your machine as I said earlier may or may not have a torque converter. If it does take your floor plate off so you can see your driveline. If it stops spinning when you are on an incline then the problem is your torque converter most likely and I was told you would have to pull the engine to repair it.
      If not the converter then the problem maybe the pump or clutch pack.

    What is the part number on the spin on transmission oil filter? Thank you for this video. Going to be doing this exact thing sometime soon.

      For machine with serial number through 774221 my book has AH128449
      For machine with serial number 774222 and later AT105663

      @@planeanddirtsimple thank you! I checked the serial number and the AH128449 filter is the one I need. Amazon has the OEM for $70 so I ordered it immediately. Napa currently charges $125 for theirs!
