When I started playing D&D for the first time almost exactly a year ago I ordered this! Still have the dice bag and everything. I got the silver with the deepset blue numbers, love it.
Really glad to see companies capitalizing on sales during Prime Day! These dice look high quality and the glow-in-the-dark is a nice feature too. How long would you say it took to charge the dice before you got the glow at 3:22? Was it really only 6 seconds? Also, how long did they keep the glow?
I agree, and 20% off is a good amount too! Especially since metal dice can be pretty pricey. Yeah it really was just that 6ish seconds! I use a UV/blacklight which of course helps but they hold a charge quickly. If I leave the light on there it can hold it for at least half an hour (I haven't tried it for longer yet.) But slowly decays. Still great quality!
I'm a newbie in this world and have noticed the following about the 7 dice set I received: 1. The opposite sides on the D6, D12 and D20 dice sum the same, as it should: D6: (1/6) (2/5) (3/4) D12: (1/12) (2/11) (3/10) (4/9) (5/8) (6/7) D20: (1/20) (2/19) (3/18) (4/17) (5/16) (6/15) (7/14) (8/13) (9/12) (10/11) 2. The opposite sides on the D8 and two D10s, however, do not sum the same: D8: (1/2) (3/4) (5/6) (7/8) D10: (0/1) (2/3) (4/5) (6/7) (8/9) D10: (00/90) (10/80) (20/50) (30/40) (60/70) And the sequence on these dice neither follow any logic nor match one another, as the order looks scrambled for instance on both D10s. Here below the numbering on these two dice from left to right by hemispheres: D10: (0-8-2-6-4) and (3-9-1-5-7) D10: (00-40-60-20-80) and (70-30-90-10-50) When, to match one another, it should be: D10: (0-8-2-6-4) and (3-9-1-5-7) D10: (00-80-20-60-40) and (30-90-10-50-70) Or: D10: (0-4-6-2-8) and (7-3-9-1-5) D10: (00-40-60-20-80) and (70-30-90-10-50) Or perhaps better (unscrambled): D10: (0-2-4-6-8) and (1-3-5-7-9) D10: (00-20-40-60-80) and (10-30-50-70-90) Maybe other makers do it correctly, but these (Chinese 😖) are the ones I've got. 3. Both D10s are not numbered starting by "1" (1-10) and (10-100) like all other dice do, but (0-9) and (00-90). Yes, I know these dice are mainly used for percentages (%), but still is somewhat weird starting by "0" and "00" instead of by "1" and "10", despite you can assume when you need the "0" is "10" and the "00" is "100".
Although i never played dnd, i would still love to own such elegant looking dice, im thinking of starting with the rustic iron dice rather than cheap acrylic dice
@@Rybonator thanks for the acknowledgement, I go to sleep watching your resin dice videos and on several occasions i have dreamed of dice and resin (to be clear the specific coating is called 'rainbow pvd' and its extremely tough and durable. its not like paint. also can you make rainbow resin dice? like, layer loads of different colours, or swirl/marble maybe... I just want to see it...
I have the black rainbow set, but sadly the rainbow parts don’t pop as much as your set. They’re still pretty awesome! (Idk if it’s the same company, but I’m pretty sure it is, considering that the numbers tilt off like that.)
They aren't too bad actually! It depends on the material. If you have a foam dice tower, I would be a bit weary, as they are heavy and can dent the inside. But wood/plastic should have no real problems.
I got the haxtec rustic iron set for £15, am very satisfied with them!

I love my haxtec leather dice bag and ancient copper metal dice! They are so well balanced and feel great to use!
Just thought would be amazing to see extra custom dice, so you could carve a symbol into a side with a dremmel tool and cast it.

@@Rybonator There is a way, use a cup of mercury in the same way you use the salt water for polymer dice! (Granted, this is not particularly safe lol)

that colour is not from heat treatment , it is a coating called PVD coating.

About as heavy as any other metal dice. Waaay heavier than normal plastic ones by far. And yeah I really like the colors :)

Ahh gotcha. Yeah no resin/plastic dice are totally cheaper! Haxtec sells those as well. These just are specifically about the metal ones :)
Are they normally sized ? All the metal sets I've bought off Amazon are noticeably smaller than polymer dice and it makes me sad.
It depends, there are some of the polymer dice that they are the same size as, but other they are only SLIGHTLY smaller than.
