The Tesseract set and gemstone set are beautiful. I'm not a DnD player but love seeing the creativity that goes into the process of making items for the game.
So funny thing. When I first started looking into how to make dice for myself and found this channel, I thought I was just going to make dice and that was it. I know the feeling of both shame and pride when you see the scale of a collection like that. We only need a few dice to play games with but I also have hundreds and hundreds of them of all different colors, shapes, and sizes. I didn't realize how many I had until my gf brought it to my attention during a game of magic. I had an entire backpack full that she hadn't even seen lol
If you're gonna use gold leaf, you need to either raise what you want to be picked out or paint the glue onto a flat surface. Recessing the pattern is just a pain in the ass. Love the dice collection!!
I just found your channel a month ago and your videos are awesome, one funny coincidence is that before I saw you videos whenever me and my friends had a DnD session my kitten would come up on the table and bat dice off the table and try to hide them, so we started calling here the dice goblin.
You should keep the failed dice goblin box as is and fill it with failed dice! (maybe one from each failed set if you start running out of space?) also, I think you would be happy to hear that I recreated your health potion rollers (with a pink/blue shifting resin) to give as Christmas gifts this year
That is an awesome idea! I am going to start doing that if the dice fail in my videos :) Also that does make me happy! You are an awesome person for making things to give as gifts to others. Keep being amazing :)
Hey Ryb, New subscriber here. I love the ideas you have about loading dice with different stuff. I though about a few ideas I might give you to use mixing in your resin molds. Hopefully, some of these won't destabilize the dice too much. - Load the resin with colored sprinkles (like the one we put on ice cream and stuff..), for a prismatic magic effect, with different color paint numerals (also, black or metallic colors would work very well)). - Load pencil sharpener scraps in the resin, they can mimic weird flowers or mushrooms, if you tint the resin with dull green. - Load tiny seashells, or fish, and dye the resin in light blue, with un-mixed swirls of darker blue, and leave a few bubbles here and there :) - Load a small miniature into a big die mold. Like a skeleton in foggy resin, or a huge skull in green tinted resin, tiny fairy in lightly glittered resin...:O - Load a smaller die inside a larger die resin mold! #Diception bam! :D I hope you like some of these ideas. I'll write back with more. Cheers!
Welcome to the Dice Goblin Army Nemanja :) I like all those ideas a lot :) A few of them I actually have either in the works, or on my to-do list already! (Can't say which ones without giving away some of the fun.) Hopefully you'll like some of the videos I have coming up in a month or so then :D Cheers!
Having just begun my very first DnD adventure with my friends a couple of months ago, this video makes me feel better about having immediately becoming obsessed with cool looking dice, nice to know I'm not the only dice goblin out there! Your videos are cool Rybonator, you really stir up the creative side of me, I love resin art and hope to start making my own dice someday. Thanks for showing us all your tips, successes and failures along the way!
Thank you for that Qaz :) I am glad you like what I do! I hope you are enjoying your first D&D campaign! It's just a spectacular hobby and a great way to make life long friends through horrible shenanigans haha :)
You are the reason I am getting into making my own dice. I love D&D and I am so excited to be able to make custom dice for any character I play. I will always love your channel because you have inspired me to do something really really cool. So thank you so much man. You're amazing
Very fun to watch - it's nice to know what is going on behind the curtains. You've got an impressive dice collection! If it's too big or not is just a personal opinion on the matter (mine is: as long as you don't need a truck to move the collection, it is not too big). Also, the goblin stickers are totally adorable, want some, now💜 Thanks for the show!
I'm glad you like it :) It's been fun getting the collection slowly growing. And you are right, once I FINALLY get the truck, I'll admit to having a problem :P
Just found your channel today, and I just wanted to say I love it! I've always liked liked resin videos and your dice ones are extra nice. I had to stay home today because I am very sick, but you made it just a little bit better. Thank you and I look forward to watching even more of your videos!
I just watch a lot of molding and casting videos and I got recommended the Tesseract dice video. Ry is very lucky that the algorithm was so good to him that time. I'm happy for the guy!
*Makes dice for a living* Here are the four sets I use regularly to play I got from... While the logic doesn't track I have to respect the all-mighty Dice Hoard Father!
I love your dice collection! They are amazing and super pretty! I only have two sets currently, a blue set and a glow in the dark set of dice I bought from game stop and I hope to one day have a collection like yours!
This was very soothing to watch. I feel like with you saying that the tesseract was the one that got you going, I should chime in the video I watched first. For me it was the druid dice the ones with the inset flowers. At the time I had played a few druids, watched the video and my want for a set like that grew so fast! So I just watched everything on your channel and subscribed. So thank you for showing me no standard dice and making me interested in resin.
That's awesome! I am still very happy with my Druid set, they may be me best OVERALL sets :) I'm glad you enjoyed and found an interest in resin! Thanks for sticking around. :)
When you said you still play your first ever character sometimes I was impressed the character survived for so long at all. My first character got killed in like the third session because I wasn't there so I told the group "eh, just put him in and take his inspirations." Turns out he got shot in the face with a crit and instadied.
This was an outstanding video! A peek into your stuff and thoughts. Love to see a sneak peak into up coming things as well as the always impressive "that didn't work out" file. (truly my favorites) (cause it's real and you learn a lot) Looking forward to seeing what comes down the pipe line!
Hopefully the next few vids will be entertaining :) I have a few projects that will wish my limits as a creator, and hopefully be entertaining in the process!
I think they are a lot of fun :) Though my players always seem scared when I bring out the big minis haha :) We'll test the limits of "too much" together on this channel! :)
I really like the infinity stone dice video, the colours look so good! Would be cool to see them finished, maybe with the colours of the infinity gauntlet? OR WAIT MAYBE THE NUMBERS SHOULD BE ROCK COLOURED LIKE A GEODE!!!
You can never have enough dice! I currently have around 30 sets, maybe more, with my favorite set being a gold and green swirl set with white numbers. At the moment, I am currently working towards buying a white oak wooden set with norse runic engravings for my husband, and a displacer beast set for myself by Artisan Dice.
That’s an envious collection. After seeing those it brought back why I came to enjoy this channel, your appreciation of the fans and your willingness to share your successes and failures. You’re a really good content creator and both of my groups now watch your videos. One of my DMs made those health potions for us before I could make them for him.
That's so awesome :) your comment made me smile. It's crazy cool to think that there is a group of people who like my stuff and watch my content. Tell your group I said hi! And tell them that you deserve a free point of inspiration in your next DnD session ;D
I've 3d designed dice myself before. I never could quite get a D20 to work on the software I was using, but I did design a D6 with Roman numerals on it, and I'm very proud of it. I also did another D6 where the dots are diamond shaped, and I actually got that one 3D printed
I''ll be starting a campaign with some friends soon for 5E and the health and mana potion rollers are just so damn cool, if it weren't for the nature of my living situation and a bunch of other fun junk I would love to try making them. Along with probably every other type of die that you've made. The sharp edged dice are probably my favorite set as a whole, something about sharp edges just really gets to me and I NEED a set like that. Keep up the work dude! You're awesome, your channel is awesome, and even when projects "fail" they're opportunities for you, and us, to learn.
YOU are awesome my friend :) I'm glad you enjoy the failures as much as the successful projects. It really is the best way to learn. You can totally make the dice rollers with just some 2 part 5 minute epoxy and food dye too if you want a cheaper alternative that get's the job done! :)
Your videos inspired me to start making my own dice a while back and I've had so much fun with it. I haven't filmed the process or anything like you do. But I am working on making a custom set that I can mold off of to start selling them and your advice has helped me so much 💙
That's awesome! I'll HOPEFULLY have my custom set ready to go for molding, and if it works out, I'll have a video on it in about 2.5 weeks :) I'm glad you've found my stuff to be helpful. I can't wait to see what you create, if I haven't already :)
Ugh this is awesome this is what I'm working towards for sure where I'll have my own place to do a fuck ton of dice making... Currently have materials coming in the mail so I can start.... Watching your channel has given me inspiration.... Keep up the good work.
Ahh your life is goals! I'm at a point in my life right now where I have to find the right balance between working in STEM and doing nerdy craft things like this. I like both, but the both take up so much time, and one obviously makes more $$ than the other haha
I broke down and bought a pressure pot. No matter what I tried I wasn't able to get the micro bubbles out of my dice. Which honestly was so frustrating it almost made me quit entirely. But over the last month or so I've learned a lot about resin and casting. I'm hoping that once I set up my pressure pot it will reinvigorate my desire to make dice.
Blast from the past: early 1980's. My first set of dice were TSR. Plain red plastic with a yellow wax crayon to rub over the surfaces to fill in the numbers.
I have 9 sets of dice + 2 sets I put aside because I want to make a resin night lamp with them floating in there as if summoning Fortuna. I just need one more set to make the lamp symmetrical. Aaaaaand I really wanna try making my own ever since I stumbled onto your druid dice video.
It'd be interesting to see your take on a metal dice set. Could be a faux metal cold cast resin with powder and weighted filler if the molten metal is scarry or not possible.
I saw a set that I have too!!! I only have one set but still, hahaha I really love the dice you make and think you have a good taste in colour combinations (except that I'm more into silver and bronze, not as into gold as you are) so I feel pretty proud and excited to have the same set as you have!
This is the treasure your party gets when they defeat the Dice Goblin
melskunk is Dice Goblin our friend though? Maybe he has like, a huge underground dice mine and he shares sometimes?
but the Dice Gobbo always rolls 20s....
The dice goblin cannot be defeated. There is a reason the Tarrasque is such a rare sight, it spends most of it's time cowering underground in fear of the dice goblin.

If you're gonna use gold leaf, you need to either raise what you want to be picked out or paint the glue onto a flat surface. Recessing the pattern is just a pain in the ass. Love the dice collection!!
I did the recession and glue, but it just didn't work right for me :/ Oh well! Lessons learned :)
Why did I expect you to have more. The potions got me here, the dice making got me to stay. Keep up the great work.
I just found your channel a month ago and your videos are awesome, one funny coincidence is that before I saw you videos whenever me and my friends had a DnD session my kitten would come up on the table and bat dice off the table and try to hide them, so we started calling here the dice goblin.
That's awesome haha. Your cat is a real life Goblin! :) I hope they are named appropriately haha.
Also thank you :)
I am going to start doing that if the dice fail in my videos :)
Also that does make me happy!
- Load tiny seashells, or fish, and dye the resin in light blue, with un-mixed swirls of darker blue, and leave a few bubbles here and there :)
- Load a small miniature into a big die mold. Like a skeleton in foggy resin, or a huge skull in green tinted resin, tiny fairy in lightly glittered resin...:O
- Load a smaller die inside a larger die resin mold! #Diception bam! :D
I hope you like some of these ideas. I'll write back with more.
Cheers!
Welcome to the Dice Goblin Army Nemanja :)
I like all those ideas a lot :) A few of them I actually have either in the works, or on my to-do list already! (Can't say which ones without giving away some of the fun.) Hopefully you'll like some of the videos I have coming up in a month or so then :D
Cheers!
That supposed blue and yellow failure set actually looks FANTASTIC.
100000% YES
I really do like the green that it turned out to be, we'll just Bob Ross it and call it a happy little accident :)
Oh my gods Id love that bubbled one it looks so oceanic! It'd make great jewelry/bookmarks
Oh they totally would! :0
That is a lot of dice! Even if it's not enough, your collection will grow within time. I'm new and excited to see more!
Hey, wait a minute!
WHERE ARE THE CANDY AND JELL-O DICE!? You're holding out on us, man.
ClokworkGremlin
Isn’t it obvious?? Dice Goblin bites dice, tastes chocoltey goodness...
Lol I totally forgot. I actually sadly keep those in the kitchen still ;)
You are the reason I am getting into making my own dice. I love D&D and I am so excited to be able to make custom dice for any character I play. I will always love your channel because you have inspired me to do something really really cool. So thank you so much man. You're amazing
That's so awesome Aiden! I can't wait to see some of the dice that you create :) Best of luck in your creating, and thank you!
My boi Rybo makin it big! Congrats man!
Ey it's thanks to MY bois like Sage helping me out :) I appreciate it!
That's so awesome :) I hope you are feeling better now Sydney! Thank you for your kind words. Hopefully you enjoy what is to come :)
Love watching your dice videos. My friend now requests me to make dice for her dnd get togethers. Thanks for all the great tips and ideas.
I was watching something Avengers' related when the tesseract video showed up. I've been here since then
I just watch a lot of molding and casting videos and I got recommended the Tesseract dice video. Ry is very lucky that the algorithm was so good to him that time. I'm happy for the guy!
Sameee
The Marvel Universes aligned just right that day :)
Oh I am EXTREMELY aware of the insane luck that I had haha. I am truly grateful :)
@@Rybonator I am very happy that happened, otherwise I wouldn't have known about this wonderful channel!
I love your collection! I want to have this many!
Thank you :) I'm pretty proud of it all!
*Makes dice for a living* Here are the four sets I use regularly to play I got from...
While the logic doesn't track I have to respect the all-mighty Dice Hoard Father!
That dice hoard is a flipping treasure. You're a flipping treasure, Rybonator.
Your comment is a flipping treasure. YOU'RE a flipping treasure Crystal :)
I love your dice collection! They are amazing and super pretty! I only have two sets currently, a blue set and a glow in the dark set of dice I bought from game stop and I hope to one day have a collection like yours!
Dude, you have a great d&d set-up, I wish I had something like that. also, love all of those dice!
It's pretty fun! I have so many plans for when we move to a new place in a few years to make the ultimate d&d room! :)
The dice goblin army is pleased with your hoard! Super cool that you have a great workshop going and I can’t wait to see more from you!
I am glad that the army is pleased :) Hopefully you enjoy what is to come!
This was really cool to see, thank you for the tour!
Of course! Thank YOU for watching :)
This was so cool! The tesseract set is my favorite one too. I love blue and silver. I can't wait to see your new projects!
Thank you! I'm glad you liked the tour!
It was thanks to you , that I now incorporate your mana jar technique into my game....so, thank you very much.
Oh awesome! Let me know how it goes :) I hope it's not terribly OP
great video of your collection.. i dont think you could ever have too much..
i bet your campaigns are awesome with all the little props and such..
I think they are a lot of fun :) Though my players always seem scared when I bring out the big minis haha :)
We'll test the limits of "too much" together on this channel! :)
I dig it. Granted this video was posted over 1.5 years ago and your collection has likely grown. Neat collection!
aaaahhhhh!!! STICKERSSSS!!! yes i am easily amused
I hope that you all like them when they come out :)
4:25 The vomity-yellow-green color would be an excellent set for playing as a goblin.
Haha you are totally right! I should make a full goblin set.
You're gonna hit 100k soon! Get ready your 100k special ^^
I'm hoping that I'll be ready! :)
Also, AHHHHHHHH!!! :D
8:00 those dragon dice *might* be from a specific dice set used in Warhammer 40,000 for a specific chapter of space marines called the Salamanders
I really like the infinity stone dice video, the colours look so good! Would be cool to see them finished, maybe with the colours of the infinity gauntlet? OR WAIT MAYBE THE NUMBERS SHOULD BE ROCK COLOURED LIKE A GEODE!!!
I like the idea of the gold color to represent the gauntlet :) Maybe I need to just make a gold set to finish it off!
Im a new dnd player and new to the channel but this was a really nice watch. Every video propels me to want to get into it more
I'm glad you enjoyed :) I hope you have a blast in the new hobby! I have found nothing but lifelong friends through playing DnD. :)
Dude, your collection is amazing and so your content!
Thank you to both of those kind compliments :) YOU are amazing!
Oh dang! That nordic set sounds amazing! Send pics :D
@@Rybonator Will do!!
This feels like I’m watching myself in the future, even down to that first set of basic dice.
Hey. It's me. You from the future. Watch you, you stub your toe tomorrow.
This was such an awesome video
I'm glad you liked it :) I was worried that people wouldn't find it interesting
That’s an envious collection. After seeing those it brought back why I came to enjoy this channel, your appreciation of the fans and your willingness to share your successes and failures. You’re a really good content creator and both of my groups now watch your videos. One of my DMs made those health potions for us before I could make them for him.
That's so awesome :) your comment made me smile. It's crazy cool to think that there is a group of people who like my stuff and watch my content. Tell your group I said hi! And tell them that you deserve a free point of inspiration in your next DnD session ;D
Rybonator all the inspiration points in the world won’t save me from the dice gods. Glad my comment made you smile.
2:52 Ooh, you got the special edition books too :D. Those things are so cool
I've 3d designed dice myself before. I never could quite get a D20 to work on the software I was using, but I did design a D6 with Roman numerals on it, and I'm very proud of it. I also did another D6 where the dots are diamond shaped, and I actually got that one 3D printed
I like the roman numeral dice idea :) You could have some super thematic dice that way!
@@Rybonator sadly I was only able to make a D6, I still have the files for both of them if you're interested in printing them out yourself
Wish i had this many dice sets. Tried making some dice, but only a few ones made it. Thanks for the inspiration man, keep up the good work!
Hey with time, we will all get a Dice Goblin worthy Hoard! :)
Your videos inspired me to start making my own dice a while back and I've had so much fun with it. I haven't filmed the process or anything like you do. But I am working on making a custom set that I can mold off of to start selling them and your advice has helped me so much 💙
That's awesome! I'll HOPEFULLY have my custom set ready to go for molding, and if it works out, I'll have a video on it in about 2.5 weeks :)
I'm glad you've found my stuff to be helpful. I can't wait to see what you create, if I haven't already :)
So many beautiful math click flacks. Don't feel ashamed for having that many sets i have between 60-70 sets of dice and my collection is still growing
Let's grow our Dragon Hoards together ;D
I'd totally buy a Dice Goblin t-shirt or tank top. Love your videos, thanks for sharing!
I hope that you will be happy (Which would make me happy :) ) in a couple of weeks then!
@@Rybonator Yessss!!! Can't wait!
Oh, one other idea.... Take the mold for your huge 20 sider and use it to make soap... but it in the bathroom that your gaming group uses.
Oh that would actually be an awesome thing to set out for people to use :) I might have to give that a go!
Ugh this is awesome this is what I'm working towards for sure where I'll have my own place to do a fuck ton of dice making... Currently have materials coming in the mail so I can start.... Watching your channel has given me inspiration.... Keep up the good work.
I also wanna say, I happened across you randomly...and this video is what got the subscription. Awesome stuff and I'm kinda inspired to try.
That's awesome! I'm glad you enjoyed looking at my collection enough to stick around :) Hopefully you enjoy what is to come!
Neat. You should scoot the brown shelves with the miniatures closer together. You could even add 1-2 more custom shelves there.
How about a giant d20 filled with many mini or regular sized dices?
I'd would totally buy that blue and yellow set that "failed" wow. They are pretty
Crystal Caste used to make some unique shaped dice sometimes called barrel dice. It would be super neat if you could resurrect those shapes.
I have actually seen those before :) They are on my list to make some crystal style dice :)
This man deserves much more subs
You deserve much more likes and smiles. But I can only give the one like, so here, take it! :)
0:38 project idea making dice out of cheese
you *could* melt cheese and put it in a mold... it would be quite the bit of "Kraft"smanship :)
This would be incredible for my tabaxi who carries around an infinite cheese pouch.
Please do this!
Damn it, take your like
Never has there been a more perfect union of two things that I love...
I felt the exact same way my friend. I just said SCREW IT and gave it a shot one day. It 100% got me back into dice casting :)
I only have one set but still, hahaha
I really love the dice you make and think you have a good taste in colour combinations (except that I'm more into silver and bronze, not as into gold as you are) so I feel pretty proud and excited to have the same set as you have!
