Hi Bryan Joe here, I was the fat bloke with my mate Steve, I gave you some money for a 2xl t-shirt and some money for the tip jar. I wrote my address on the back of your business card so you could post me a t-shirt. You have inspired me to just get out in my shed and have a go and not to worry about not having posh tools etc. Thanks mate.
I've been going to the vscc prescott meeting for years and your vid has brought the thing to life weeks after. Another 50mins that I really didn't waste on my phone. Keep on swampin' ! (And how you build & work and record at the same time is genius!
phew! thats good to hear mate and axles can be straightened 😀 everyone was gutted for you, I absolutely love your little Amilcar I really wanted to chat with you about it ...where in uk are you? oakswamprats@gmail.com
Glad you survived ok, saw the bent steering wheel when it came back and thought you had hit it with your chest! And as the ambulance was involved, thought the worst! Glad you're ok chum! Hopefully you'll be back in the seat next year
Oh man! The Maggot (#303) at 32:43 looked frickin awesome with the twin air-cooled powerplant. That would have to be in my top 5 in the whole video. So much amazing engineering and ingenuity on show. Thanks so much for taking us along with you, Bryan. Cheers
Great video again Brian. That little Amilcar is always my favourite too. Had to miss Prescott this year was we were on our family holiday. Such a great weekend....!!
Hi Bryan . Thanks for uploading the video . I think this was one of you best .loved the cars and the crack between your mates well done . Cheers Andrew
Fantastic insight into Prescott you seem to capture the ' pure ' behind the scenes action..we would luv to come next year if you wanna organise something bryan ❤
Ron here from windsor Ontario this is a great channel I am building a 27 roadster in my back yard and watching your channel inspires me on my build cheers mate ❤
Bryan, what a fabulous video, you captured the true essence if this meeting and looked like you guys all had masses of fun doing it. The background music just added to a great video. Thanks for the ride along. Paul
Hi Bry, another top vid! Great to catch up again with you, Neil and Stef. Shame about the Amilcar off, it was a looker before the incident! Loved Jim’s music, always the perfect backdrop to your vids! Excellent footage and banter. Hope to see you at Beaulieu in September, if you have a pitch again let me know the number. Rat would have looked great at Prescott. You should also try Shelsley Walsh, a bit further for you, but another great venue!
Prescott 👍, 30 minute bike ride from me mum and dad's. I started hopping the fence with me mate's when i was twelve, best weekends of the summer. Im 56 now and came home often to grab my dad, sink a pint or two of glider with him and spend a perfect father and son arvo in the sunshine watchin those old girls get thrashed up the hill. Hes not here now bit im thinking i need to do that again soon so i remember 👍 Happy days. Glad you enjoyed it too.
Absolutely revelled in every minute of this! I watched Ivan’s videos of course, and it’s great to get two different flavours of the event, but also so many cars and people in common! See you next year.
Such a contrast between your video and the two from Ivan Dutton (Shed Racing), but all three are so good and highly entertaining. Prescott is a special place and you certainly brought it to life. Many thanks.
Not really, Ivan is one bad ass old school racer and a Bugatti is just a car for him, a tool. Just like any Austin A30 (I grew up in the backseat of one of those and watching Ivan driving one as if it was a racer was pure gold, my father agree btw) or a dirtrace midget, I love his way of thinking. It's also great that so many owners of these often museum pieces take them out to do what they were built to do, go as fast as possible and then some thanks to the drivers insanitylevel. Ivan is car-religious, but not for the monetary value of the thing or its name, but for smartness and engineering. That mans brain need to be tapped for as much information as possible before we loose him.
The VSCC should adopt this video - I've never seen one that captured better the characters, machines, and atmosphere at one of these events. And how great that some already knew Bryan from watching this channel.
Great stuff, Bryan. Your enthusiasm is really infectious! I still think you should make the small leap, join the VSCC, and build a 'bitsa' special that would be eligible for club events. You have all the skills and energy, Bryan, and the club would welcome you with open arms! Gofer it, Bryan!
Got to say, you've caught a different vibe of Prescott than any other video I've seen.... Good stuff! I did actually see you filming, didn't have a clue who you were, just had a look at your channel, interesting stuff 👍🏼😎
Happy memories of arriving at Prescott for the Retro-Rides Gathering in 2012 in a biblical rainstorm on the Friday afternoon. The W124 Benz I had at the time was a hefty beast, and she gracelessly (and completely out of control) slid the entire length of the camping field from the top gate to about where your mate's gorgeous Dodge camper was parked by the bottom fence. That's where she stayed until Sunday! Brilliant footage of what looks to be a superb weekend. Really must make the effort next year!
great footage, thanks for sharing with us on the other side of the pond. Nothing like the sights, sounds & smells (Castrol R) of the historic auto event! .. cool man.
Excellent clip, very smooth and a great pleasure to watch, from each topic, narration to brilliant sound. Many thanks, already promoting your t-shirt and the brilliant artist!
In the US we call the library buses "Book-Mobiles". My mother drove one back in the '60s for the Los Angles library system. I always enjoy you taking us along on these trips!
Prescott is a wonderful place. The cars and the drivers are so fantastic. Beautiful vid Bryan, captured a real celebration of the car. I loved how people were keen to let you have a go in their pride and joys. Wil you be looking at getting a speed licence in the near future????

Amilcar survived. Bent the front axle and chassis slightly at the front. Amazingly I survived unhurt! Great video!!

Thanks for this, have not been to Prescott since I left the UK in 2002, it's nice to see that - unlike other things - it has not changed.
I dont think it ever will, with luck ...cheers
Man, Thanks for the fab episode!! It makes a guy wonder what a bunch of Spridget parts and a couple old frame rails could result it.
hahahahah thanks dude
