welcome to oak swamp and this week on swamping around i start by working on the hillman 1500 engine , I then collect the rebuilt wire wheels from the builders for the 'rat' and try them out ! Looked a fun show. Brings back happy memories being down Southampton area , down to The Leap beach etc; to meet my son David who passed away February 2023. He had a GMC truck and loved Americana with his Harley Davidson motorcycles etc , happy days , keep the old motors going.

Thanks for the trip. So many great people and vehicles. And it looks so lovely on that cobblestone inbetween those brick-houses. Its a feeling of freedom isnt it, to drive a roadster? Like a motorcycle but no helmet. I enjoy every minute when I drive mine. Happy New Year folks. Keep it up:)

@oakswamp A perfect purchase!... I'm wondering if you should look at a Luminition ignition set up, and get rid of that Isuzu electronic box of mystery and expense 🤔
@@rustandoil ive looked into swapping it out , its a denso dizzy an because its electronic already they dont do a direct replacement...i considered bastardising a rv8 dizzy i have and if it fails probaly will ...cheers
@oakswamp yeah could be a plan, but I'd start with something from a 4 cylinder motor.... Mini or Land Rover?, get Ted to make a engineering job of it and the Leaf will be 1st class reliable 😎
@@rustandoil tbh 8 cyl 6 or 4 would work, just an on off switch really , what is more important is its size and type , the deson has the star in place and i need to match that ....other fish to fry for the minute so till it breaks!

I’m only driving without a windshield is on mopeds, O and the tractor 💪 so don’t really drive with a lot of speed.
