Nice video Jennifer! I haven’t done the wall thing in ages. I’ll start that today! I love sweets too! I have had the Bragg ACV in my kitchen for ages but never used it this way. Another thing I’ll be doing today. Thank you! Blessings 💖
I eat a carrot salad with AC vinegar, olive oil and sea salt while I’m cooking supper & I know the vinegar helps with my blood sugar. I also take 10-15 minute walks after each meal as much as possible & that can help with blood sugar, too. If you can’t go for a walk, doing some jumping jacks or something can help, but I avoid intense cardio majority of the time. If it’s raining, I’ll do jumping jacks. We homeschool & spend a lot of time in nature, so it’s easy for me to do walks.
I bought Glucose Revolution two days ago after watcging some videos with Jessie, what a coinsidence! I really hate apple vinegar with water, so I secided to make a simple salad made of spinach, rucola, tomatoes with olive oil and vinegqr dressing :)
I wear a continuous glucose monitor and can see these things in real time and I am here to tell you if I walk for 15-20 min after eating I can eat pretty much anything and it blunts the rise but the BEST hack I have found is to have black unsweet tea(green tea works too) with something sweet or starchy and it will do the exact same thing as the acv. It was so profound that if I drink unsweet black tea inbetween meals when my blood sugar is stable it will drop me into the 50's! It's a great hack and there's lots of science behind it. Just imagine having a nice warm cup of black tea(I choose decaf for cortisol reasons) with your afternoon tea treat. I save the ACV for the nighttime as it helps pull stored fat from the liver if used at night.
My mum‘s older cousin is now retired tailor and she has spent most of her adult life behind sowing machine. She had taught us all legs on the wall exercise because she would do that in the break from work for blood circulation. She told us this is the reason why she never had issues with her spine even though her work was very demanding. I should definitely go back to this exercise in my daily life as I mostly sit behind the computer at my work. Great tips Jennifer! Thank you.
As a yoga practitioner for many years I love legs up the wall and for those of us who are on our feet all day it is such a treat. A big yes to vinegar and a bigger yes to something sweet. I have a small piece of chocolate after lunch and dinner and have a special dessert on the weekends. Three part breathing is such a wonderful practice as well as other types of breath work. Best video yet!
Thank you for including the contraindications regarding the 'legs up the wall' / Urdhava Prasarita Padasana. I am an Iyengar practitioner and Sr. teacher in Canada and would like to add that we recommend that women who are menstruating refrain from doing the pose until their period has completely finished. Thank you for your videos!
I am a CVS Care card Member. I prefer to go to CVS and no longer shop at Walmart or Target anymore. Mainly because of the crowds and all the walking. I'm not able to walk as far as I used to. They now send me a 30% off my total plus I get my $5 off for being a card member and I get other coupons when I check out. The CVS employees are always very helpful and friendly too. If CVS doesn't have it, theres always Amazon !
Jennifer, Thank you so much for sharing this! I'm definitely looking forward to trying the legs on the wall and vinegar tips-- perhaps I can even do some breathing during the legs on wall! And thank you SO much for giving me the chance to share again with the Daily Connoisseurs about breathing!!:)) You and your community are a force for good. It is such an honor to be included ❤️🥂
Thank you for blessing our community again with your amazing tips, Dr. Chloe! I combined the breathing with legs-up-the-wall this morning and it was amazing!
I so appreciate your mention of the "Glucose Goddess" and vinegar! I work in the wellness department of a vegan market and cafe and I share this every day I work and have done this long before it was hip. I wish you continued success Jennifer!
Thanks for these tips Jennifer. I’m going to implement “legs on the wall” I’ve got circulation issues on my legs, they hurt and get heavy during the day and often if the weather is warm. 👍🏼🌸

The apple cider vinegar really works. My father had high blood sugar, so he started drinking the vinegar everyday. At his next appointment his blood sugar was in a normal range even though he was still eating a bowl of ice cream every night!
I read Dr. Will Clower's book "The Fat Fallacy" years ago and among other great advice, he suggested having the salad course with a vinaigrette after the main course and before dessert as the French do. I do like that you have your dessert separate from your meal and have enjoyed doing that myself. Thank you for these tips Jennifer.
I was thinking similarly that in Europe, we eat salad with a fresh dressing (always include vinegar or lemon) and afterwards have the dessert. And the rule: first savoury, then sweet!

Good morning, Jennifer! WOW! What a great video!! I am a die hard yogi and LOVE legs up the wall!! (It truly works and I have SEVEN kids, haha!!!) I have been drinking acv for over a year! I'm definitely going to try the ACV hack before enjoying a dessert, as I can not go without them either! My question is, how do I know if it "works" for me? If I don't get a sugar crash?
@@TheDailyConnoisseur yes every morning, or last thing in evening, the juice of a whole lemon with half to one teaspoon of bicarb of soda- provides all your daily Vit C and keeps everything regular - see Fabulous Fifties - excellent Australian RUclipsr 😊. And my tip is Rinse your mouth with bicarb of soda diluted in water to neutralise the acid in your vinegar drinks to protect your teeth😊 And make your own saurkraut - another great digestive with added advantages of probiotics😊
I think the extra hydration helps the blood sugar issue. I have more trouble with sugar in the morning if I’ve only had coffee, but if it’s later in the day and I’m more hydrated I can handle sugar better.
Hello, Jennifer! I love this video. Thank you for sharing this good information. I’m a music teacher, and have been involved in instrumental/choral rehearsals for most of my life now. We always, always include breath work as part of our conditioning as musicians. When I was in college, one of my band directors would have us do this exact breath exercise! I remember how much it changed my breath work back then! He had us breath in with an “oh” then “ah” then “ee” to help fill the belly, then ribs, then chest. That was really helpful for me. I’m excited to try the vinegar, and I have never done the legs up pose, so I’m eager to try this as well. Thank you for this wonderful video! -Celeste
That was so unexpected and fun, thank you! Legs up I know and love, but don't use often enough. The vinegar tip (gulp!) I'll have to muster the courage to try. :)
I had gestational diabetes with my first pregnancy (and will probably have it in following pregnancies) as I think you did too, if I remember correctly. This means I’m more likely to be diabetic in the future, and I’m really focused on preventing that if I can. I’ll have to read these glucose goddess books!
Thanks for this video. I love yoga. I do not love the breathing so much but I am sure that it has great benefits for our health and will continue doing it.
If you don’t like vinegar, health food stores have other liquid digestives made from papaya and other various fruits- but they too have a strong tang so you’re better off trying harder to get use to apple cider vinegar 😊
You'd need to go cold turkey with the sugar and get rid of carbs. It's not just vinegar, it's also eating fiber before carbs that will lessen the spikes of glucose. I would brush my teeth after drinking the acid even though you're using a straw. ALA also lowers blood sugar.
Not only is the vinegar hack great to slow down glucose it’s supposedly remarkable at healing or curing stomach ulcers. If any one is interested a Tbs of vinegar and 1 Tbs of baking soda diluted in filtered water does wonders for most things associated with gastrointestinal problems.
I used to do legs up the wall when I had a regular yoga practice...5-7 years ago. Thank you for the reminder on how valuable that pose is. I'm going to attempt to incorporate it in a standalone way going forward! I meditate and do breathing work daily. Can't imagine life without it.
Interesting tips. A new month is coming so it’s a good time for me to implement them. I’ll check in with you in July through the Connoisseur group to let you know how I’m doing and what I’ve noticed as a result.
I had no idea about vinegar what you talked about in this video. I found out the other day that someone I work with really great guy now has type 2 diabetes and he likes sweets
I may need to put something on the wall so that I won't need to repaint--or maybe I should wear socks when doing this pose! LOL! I hate the way vinegar tastes, but I need to give this a try!!!
Try breathing only through your mouth the entire time you drink the water and vinegar. Continue holding even whilst you pause between drinking. Swish your mouth when you are done drinking. Good luck!

Thanking #DrCloe for this exercise
Thanks for another great video, Jennifer! As a migraineur I think the breathing exercise may help me.
Love the vinegar hack 💡
You'd need to go cold turkey with the sugar and get rid of carbs.
It's not just vinegar, it's also eating fiber before carbs that will lessen the spikes of glucose. I would brush my teeth after drinking the acid even though you're using a straw. ALA also lowers blood sugar.
No one said that you cannot eat any sugar. And carbs are fuel, we need them. We should just prefer complex carbs.
Love these ideas! Ordered Glucose Goddess and Revolution books.❤
Wonderful tips! Thank you!
I think prof Ben Bikman would say the same about vinegar - check out his videos, fascinating, and his book called Why We Get Sick.
Great and simple things to try.
That was great Jennifer!
Thank you. That is great.
always worthwhile thank you
I used to do legs up the wall when I had a regular yoga practice...5-7 years ago.
Jennifer, I love these tips so much. They are simple and easy to remember and implement. Thank you for sharing them!
What nail polish are you wearing in this video? Could it be Londontown nail veil #4?
Can you drink the vinegar water in the morning during the fasting period of if intermittent fasting?
*When* is the best time of day to do legs up against the wall? Thank you. 😊
Great tips!
This is great!
Interesting ❤
Hi Jen, if you have your sweets during tea time, does it mean you drink the vinegar water right before that time? Thks.
I had no idea about vinegar what you talked about in this video. I found out the other day that someone I work with really great guy now has type 2 diabetes and he likes sweets
I drink water with a tbsp of ACV every morning on an empty stomach.
I may need to put something on the wall so that I won't need to repaint--or maybe I should wear socks when doing this pose! LOL! I hate the way vinegar tastes, but I need to give this a try!!!
You can always wear socks...
Try breathing only through your mouth the entire time you drink the water and vinegar. Continue holding even whilst you pause between drinking. Swish your mouth when you are done drinking. Good luck!
@@TheDailyConnoisseur yes! I have heard so many good things about this pose.
Thank you, Jennifer. Ive heard that "legs up the wall" is great! Prevents varicose veins!♥️🇨🇦
I wonder if holding my hands up will help the occasional bulging I'm getting in my hand veins?
Great idea! Certainly worth a try🫶🏻
I wonder if apple cider gummies would do the same thing?🤔
How many times a day should I do “legs on the wall”?
What if your a type 1 diabetic
I am going to try the Legs-up-the-wall and the breath work. ❤
