There is a difference in weight for every tennis tacket. I mean you can litterly buy them heavier or lighter. Also if it bounces more it just means that it is tightend more or "fresher"

I play tennis and this test is absolutely horrible. all expensive rackets are different because some can have different strings and grips because of what different players like. Some expensive rackets are really heavy for more power and some are really light for more spin and control.
Serving depends on technique regardless. Expensive doesnt make it go further its just power, but it does help with spin, youll know when you hit a good shot because of the nice sound and feeling produced by the expensive. Also its not heavier, all rackets have different strung and unstrung weights.
It just gets on my nerves the "serve was more on target" stuff, don't get me wrong, i love watching these, it is just that some of this isn't objective
Cheap tennis racket pros: good to stick in the bag if you need to smash one mid match. Cheap tennis racket cons: durability and control. Expensive racket pros: durability and control Expensive racket cons: unless you’re on the professional tour, you probably don’t have enough cash to consistently break them
Why are we testing how high it bounces or how far it hits? The bounce can be adjusted by string type and tension. How far it hits doesn't talk about power or control. A $280 racquet from the same line with different head sizes will play differently. A Wilson prostaff 97 will play different from the X which is a 3" difference. The pure strike 98 will play diff then the 100.
the test isnt really imporant part but the ending words are.. if he changes his two last words it aint gonna be it.. i hope he never doess.. just waiting, watching random stuff for that insane dopamine hit.. very cool
None of these do anything to actually judge a racket. Weight doesn't make a racket good or bad, it's preference based. Also the grip can be redone in like 5 minutes
That's the truth! I started with a friend's 30 dollar Wilson with 5 year old string not knowing any better. I only played with him because there was nothing to do. Play is a strong word. I could never keep the ball in play. I thought it just wasn't for me. And then, one day, I decided I wanted to get serious and beat my friend. I studied the theory and then went to a pro shop to find a racket. To my surprise, I picked up an expensive racket, and it was night and day difference. It didn't turn me into Federer, but I was able to keep the ball in play. I tried about 8 different rackets to dial in what fit me best, and I ended up with a Pure Aero 98 for my first real racket. I played with that for nearly a year and then ended up trying a Blade that was on sale and never looked back. I finally ended up settling on a Wilson Blade 98 18x20 with champions choice strung at 54 lbs. I don't care what anyone says. A quality racket will make life a little easier from beginning to end.
@@Terminator_of_Love10 9 utr here, I can use virtually any racket and beat basically any of the high schoolers I coach. Obviously at my own level I feel 100x more confident using my racket, but that’s why we have preferred equipment, it brings out your best even if you can.
First of all, the grip test is pointless because you put your own grip on it. Expensive is made so the string’s don’t break while you shoot. Cheap is made with cheap materials.🤬
I have a 300$ racket and it weighs 2 pounds and its and adult racket and performs exceptionally so idk why the weight test was made because when i first started i got a 30$ racket and it weighed 6 ounces which for me personally was entirely to heavy to be playing doubles no singles matches especially double headers Reminder i started it 6th grade and is now in college
none of these are accurate because the ball bounces higher because of the diffrent types of strings u can get for it, also expensive rackets are that price because of the material it was made for the racket. also the grip is also changeable,
If you're trying to play tennis competitively, this video is pretty uninformative. What matters most here is racket head size (bigger head is typically the norm in modern tennis, more power and less framing) and string type/tension. Low tension poly if you're not trying to play at high intensity and high tension gut if you're on the better end. You can take the cheapest, shittiest racket frame you can find and as long as you string it well and wrap the grip, you'll play better with it than an expensive racket which is poorly strung and maintained. Most pros string at like 70-80 lbs which is insane, but 55-60 isn't bad if you're seasoned. Id recommend 40-50 if you're on the newer end Weight of the racket is purely preference, but heavier rackets will play more smoothly if you have good fundamentals. Grip size is again down to preference. I like 4.5 inch, but depending on your hand size you might want smaller or bigger Honestly, the more I explain, the less this video seems to be useful. I appreciate the effort and production value, but this is painful to watch as a tennis player...
Dawg ima tennis player and a tennis racket with more weight is more of a problem and also tor every one saying hes only just testing the strings the gromets on the frame also matter and the swing weight and other shit
You can’t compare a cheap and expensive tennis racquet every single racquet has different dimensions and weight. The inly difference would be how much weight your wallet loses
New players should just buy cheap rackets. They're designed to assist players with poor swinging technique and/or a lack of power. The reason they're lighter is so they reduce the chance of injury to players who don't know how to swing properly yet. The reason they have more pop i.e., are bouncier, is because new players typically can't produce much power with their swinging form, so to compensate, beginner rackets are strung up mid tension with lively synthetic guts. These off-the-shelf rackets also have larger head sizes and thicker beams, typically 110 to 120 sq.in. and 3/4" to 1" respectively.
To anyone wondering why serve is different... It's because of the weaving string quality and tension. Expensive racquets use strings with better tensile strength, so they can be tightened easily.
😂when a non tennis player tries to test tennis rackets. Half of what he said has to do with the strings not the racket.

THIS
Actuality your wrong power doesn't come from heavy or light it comes from head size
And heavy raqquets are more control oriented
Distance and bounce are more affect by string tension, not the frame
Ngl the serve was not bad
the expensive racket was top heavy which means you get a more powerful shot when hitting the ball, therefore it’s better if that’s your type of play.
