I think you're right with the dry method. When I usually do wash and go's wet, my hair will be defined in its true curl pattern( I'm mostly 4a/4b with some 4c btw) but after 20 mins of the gel sitting in and the hair shrinking my curl pattern tightens up so much and all of my hair looks 4c, like super tightly coiled, like a tight spring. I don't like how my true curl pattern isn't being shown when I do wash n go's but when I randomly define a section of my hair dry, it doesn't do that. So I guess imma have to try this and see how it goes! 😍
@@adannaxofrom your name I can tell you're an Igbo Nigerian and probably not mixed ( biracial), so your (our) hair is bound to be like that, she's an East African, she has the pattern the northern people of Nigeria have (fulanis) they have looser curl patterns, we have coils not curls so it can't look like this no matter what.
@@preciousokudoI'm Igbo too and my hair is truly 4a. It doesn't shrink up and look like 4c with gel because it's not 4c, so I'm assuming she is in denial about her actual hair type.
This looks nice! And I love how you apply the gel wet, especially since shrinkage can be a problem when getting defined curls. Also it’s a gel, it shouldn’t be the most important part of the process, it’s main job it to define the curls (but of course you don’t want it to be damaging for your hair). Anyway, I’m definitely going to be trying this because I want to master this look!
Have you exprience any hair loss from using the eco styling gel i have heard some people have. Also could i put this in my hair before i get braids and would it be a problem if i mixed it up with my braids gel

If you can do a wash and go fry, then your hair isn’t 4c
