Joying Touch Problem

The very top and bottom of my Joying touch screen stopped responding to touch, and my unit longer opens any on-screen keyboard. The middle of the touchscreen still works. I can use a USB mouse to operate any part of the screen. I can use a USB keyboard to input text and numbers.
I suspect that my MCU firmware was somehow corrupted when I did not drive the car for a few weeks, and the unit had to hard reboot.
I updated my Android version from 5.1.1 to 6.0.1, but that did not fix anything. The MCU firmware did not update when I loaded the Android 6.0.1 update.

To their credit, Joying is answering my emails, and I think they intend to help me fix it once they get all the info that they need. I recorded this video at their request.

I bought the same unit second hand and the touch screen only works in the far top right corner, less tha 1 sq centimeter. I learned you can plug a mouse in from this video (thanks) and confirmed everything else works, but the touch screen is dead...

No. I reset everything. I flashed the firmware. I made the video for the manufacturer. They did nothing to help, and argued with me for over a week.

@@hoisec2013 you go right ahead, I won't argue with you. But what bothered me more than the poor quality was how rude they were in their emails.
