The main reason I am liking your video is because you not only care about the people and the tool what you show enthusiasm about why you care about the people and the tool amazing well done very well done thank you very much
Good video. I'm really impressed with my Hercules table saw, when I first got it I kept finding more and more quality details. Really the only bad thing about it is the miter gauge it comes with. I wouldn't buy the Hercules cordless, but the corded tools are a great buy.
Ya I am the same way. I like the corded tools. I have an angle grinder as well, but I am not really interested in their 20v cordless tools. I am curious about their 12v line up for the mechanic oriented tools. I might check those out.
nice review, thanks. guess using a 3/8" ratchet, 3 in extension and a socket is out of the question. On the allen head, seems over time debris could fill up the cavity and impede the allan...plug, you generally use short throw part of the allen wrench to tighten/loosen, then switch to long end to run the bolt in/out.
I bought the Herc, It actually looks like the base and hinge are same as dewalt but upper casting and motor seem a little different. After Watching the video I think I'll return the herc because I found the Milwakee on ebay for $135 shipped from CPO wakee is about 10lbs heavier and imo looked like it cut smoother than the herc and bogged less audibly. Thanks for the video!
Oh ya definitely can't beat that price on the Milwaukee! I got mine for $135 as well but I liked the Herc a little bit better in the end and knew I didn't need two of these and knew the Milwaukee would sell better so I just kept the Hercules and am satisfied with it. Thanks for the comment!
Push in the blade stop located on the top of the motor (I think) and use the Alan wrench while lifting the guard and unthread the bolt. Could be reverse threads. I don’t remember off the top of my head.
I would like to see this comparison revisited using an Evolution Power Tools 14BLADEST Steel Cutting Saw Blade, 14-Inch x 66-Tooth, on each of the saws.
the only thing you didn’t mention was the Brakes on both Saws that might be of Importance to people planning on using MetalCutting Carbide tipped blades for Safetey reasons the Brakes may be of some Significance as well as the RPms are crucial for those blades in comparing them to a Abrasive Blade usage my guess is also Home Depot only sells the Milwaukee Saws because of the ProfessionalMarket demand as normally they sell items and brands that are all about the Profit margin and the deal you found at Northern when you did was probably more of a one time deal because Milwaukee has come out with their own “Clearance” lines they market in other Retail stores and that Line might had been tested at NorthernTool or available at one short time as a Trial now those lines are available at the Tool Stores that are found in the large Outlet Malls i do forget the store name ar this Writing , and you can find lower pricing on some of the items , but not always its kind of a Marketing Strstegy on Behalf of Milwaukees Mother Company who also, owns that store which is why Home Depot pushes the Ryobi and Ridgid so much , they Own the Factory inChina that manufactures both lines you will also notice many of the same similarities in those lines like the same Engineering and parts suppliers being used
kinda of strange because the Milwaukee is a 15 Amp 4 hp and the Hercules is a 15 Amp also but 4.3 hp why is the Hercules more slower then the Milwaukee? when you put them both side by side with a front comparison view you can see that the Milwaukee seems like it has a larger motor. maybe has more torque.
Curious about people's opinion on warranties. I never pay for warranties, I think they are a rip off and if you can't self insure your own equipment...you've no business buying it. (Obviously there are some exceptions in heavy machinery but for personal use...no). I've never used a free warranty on any tools or electronics. Are warranties a turning point in your decision to buy a power tool?
I never pay for warranties either. I worked at Lowes and they told us to sell warranties because thats where the company always got its biggest best profit from. And a warranty on a tool doesn't always mean if you have an issue you just get it fixed or replaced. Milwaukee boasts a 5 year warranty but if they determine its not their fault (which is usually the case) they want an arm and a leg to fix it. Warranty doesn't make or break a purchase but I usually see a good warranty as a bonus.
For price comparison, compare Hercules vs Ridgid. I’m a Milwaukee guy through and through but looks like it’s either ridgid, herc, or Dewalt. Those are the ones I’m looking at
DeWalt with the quick adjust without a doubt is the best. I have a video comparing all the name brand chop saws (online comparison) dropping early next week. I dubbed DeWalt the obvious choice. I forgot about Rigid though. And a few other brands..
I would go with a brand I know for $20 more and better warranty. The handle on the Milwaukee would suck but they have built a brand you can trust. Harbor freight has up its game but for that little bit of change I'm getting the warranty. Unless it was free we all like free tools!
I feel like a ton of the big box brands (dewalt, Milwaukee, ridgid, boshe, even now Hart) are all made in the same factories after they've all sold out and become chinese made. The base of these two saws looked pretty much the same. Snap-on 3ton jack is identical to the Harbor Freight Daytona (and got sued over it even though snap-on knew they were the same factory in china), a bunch of hand tools from harbor freight are identical to Masterforce tools carried at Menards. Gear Wrench at Advanced Auto is Taiwanese made. Nothing is of good quality anymore and so you are virtually buying the same tools just re-branded. I'd say the Hercules is fine since it's literally the same saw as Milwalkee, Dewalt or a Ridgid. However Makita is and always has been an independent Japanese company and if you know about Toyota's and Honda's for their longevity and reliability then Makita should be up to par being Japanese! A shame HF doesn't do any free tool coupons anymore. It's a toss up today, pay too much for the same thing you could have gotten at HF because you might be loyal to a certain color of tools
@@scottiemanners right on man. I was a kid growing up serious that's where you bought the tools craftsman. Until about 1990 a buddy of mine showed me tools he represented. One had two lines around it one had one line around it on the sockets and the bottom line was one was painted internally the other wasn't when was Craftsman one wasn't in the same place that was the only difference so like you said many are made in the same place already. I've come to lake harbor freight because they don't have attitude toward who or what's what if so what they think is best right on I'm there I agree with you man later
It’s worth the 30 bucks more to get a dewalt or Milwaukee you get the warranty and a solid machine that if it breaks you do t have to buy another after 90 days
If the warranty is important to you, yes. In my experience, tools that are going to break on me typically do the first couple times using them, or not until way long after even the best tool warranties would have expired. There seems to be very little in between.
I’d agree. I’ve heard that Hercules actually buys old dewalt plans and builds their tools from expired dewalt patents so it’s basically a dewalt machine for a big discount.

Awe yeah man me too! I would definitely love a free Honda over a payment corvet all day everyday. Hahahaha no all BS a side I'm definitely considering the Hercules
great review, you would have way more views and likes if Harbor Freight allowed for your video to be liked on there product page they have your video on.

I appreciate that!
In Mexico, there's a combo for the Milwaukee with the diamond disc for 200 dls, which is an unbeatable price
Where in MExico can you get this deal?

Thanks for taking the time in making this review video. Now you have to get a heater in that garage.
Definitely! I since it's almost spring I'm going to just forgo it this year but I am definitely getting one for next year.
Thanks for this, my dude. Im a left hander so i prefer that Milwaukee handle but the performance of the hercules is best
I’m left handed too and still find I like the D handle but I could see how someone else might like it better. Thanks for watching!

Thank you for the advice. This has helped
I think I would go with the Milwaukee for its AC/DC that this model has… would work with my SA200
Are you using the same new blade type on both saws? That makes a lot of difference on cut speed when using a wider blade.

How do you change the blade on the Hercules

i have a Chicago Electro cutoff 2 hp... think of buying a Hercules Chop... Some of you say that they're very similar what do you think?
The Hercules is going to be much stronger.
Great video 👍

I have never purchased a warranty either BUT I would definitely pay an extra $30 for a 5 year replacement warranty on the Milwaukee
Clark Howard agrees.
I got a Chop saw years ago from Harbor Freight with that same handle as the Milwaukee. They must have made some new improvements.
I would say so if that's the case.

They probably put the cord on the Milwaukee over there so the sparks aren't flying at it
I think there would be less sparks flying at the Hercules but that's alright, I could be wrong!

I think the chop saws is better than the angle grinder
First timer good job like a lot of info
Thanks for watching!
Like the video keep them coming
Thanks again!
You kinda sound like Wreck It Ralph. Lol. Good video 👍
iam going to get a Herc.
I still like mine better than the Milwaukee. The handle is better. Only thing about the Milwaukee is that it has the brand name on it.
Came here to see what PPE I need for this 😆🤣
