Best review i seen in a while im getting mine tomorrow thanks
Awesome! Thank you!
Wow thats a great looking saw looks like it has plenty of power thanks for the great testing and honest review
You bet, thanks for stopping by!👊
Great saw. Also big fan
Thanks, man! 🙌
looks like a great chop saw...good review 👍
Thank you, it's a great portable solution for cutting steel.
I purchased it this morning in Australia, but I haven't try it yet. Very nice chop-saw.
Awesome!🙌
Thanks Mark 😎😍😎😍😎

Great demonstration Mark, I have the 36v makita abrasive chopsaw & my coworkers love it. We cut 14 & 16 gaudge cees with it all the time, i'm glad to see that tool companies are constantly innovating. Now I need a cordless cold-cut saw... I wonder who is going to get one to market first.
Sounds great! That's a good question, for the cold-cut saw.
@@MarkThomasBuilder As for my favorite cordless tool it would have to be either my Makita 18v nibblers, my flexvolt 6inch grinder or my Bosch 18v bulldog.
I'm always excited to go cordless, but the pivotal cordless tool for me would be the 4.5 inch angle grinder from 3 years ago. I was so tired of dragging that cord around, lol.
try Milwaukee 18V metal cutting saw with carbide tipped metal cutting disc 203mm blade
Mark, when I received mine I was searching high a low for the 4th rubber foot. I reviewed the manual and it was made that way. 3 rubber feet and one metal that is flush with the surface. Maybe someone knows why? Static discharge?
I was watching your slow motion footage. It’s in the same area as the discharge cover…
Thanks for sharing, I was wondering about that but never reached out to Milwaukee. I'd like to know the reason as well.
That Rockwell stand is nice is that the Door Helper Stand by Rockwell
It's the Rockwell Jawstand. Both work awesome for all my projects.
@@MarkThomasBuilder oh it is the jawstand so it is the Door helper I was thinking of That is cool I been eyeing these for a few years but everytime I go to buy nobody has them in stock lol
The blade nob is plastic but they couldn't put ruber on the miter handles or Cover them in Heat resistant plastic for more comfortability
Good point.
Had a question on this I do concrete work how does this bad boy handle rebar
Thats a good question. I have some 1/2" rebar and will have to test it out. It will cut it, but I'm not sure how fast.
@@MarkThomasBuilder sounds good let me know how it handles please thanks again for the info
My guard has a tab on the end that gets stuck in the blade slot
Huh, intersting. I'll have to take a closer look at mine. So far I haven't had anything get stuck.
Does it have a shadow light?
That's a very good question., Fred. I recorded some video talking about that but had an oversight editing that in my video. The answer is no, there is no LED light of any kind on this saw, unfortunately.
I have many Milwaukee HO tools. And they overheat the battery damaging it. They don't work continuously. Okay for smaller jobs.
Huh, interesting. I've had my weed trimmer overheat a few times, but not any damage.
@@MarkThomasBuilder yup. My 9 inch grinder will overheat even a 12 amph. Killed one this way. It depends on application. I often trip out a battery on the grinders. So I don't have faith where torque is needed
Now that you mention it, I think mine timed out as I was cutting some galvanized pipe. The Milwaukee steel cutting saw is better suited for that type of work.
@@MarkThomasBuilder I also have yellow 60v... for the most demanding jobs. 9 12 and 15 amph never trip out and at more power
Can you use steel metal cutting blades on this saw
I think I've heard of people doing this but don't recall what the instructions say. I'm thinking they say to only use certain abrasive blades.
@cn8484 .no no se puede usar una hoja de metal porque no tiene las revoluciones que necesita ..delo contrario quemarias tu motor
Had anybody tried to use a cold cut blade on these saws?
Don't, you'll have teeth flying at your face!
@@eduardoorozco2454 yeah I know The saw speed is to high cold cut saws run at less then 1300 rpms the Milwaukee is over 4000 rpms I didn't say I was going to do it I was asking if anybody has done it there is a difference
Is will it fit on Is a mitersal stand
👍🏻🍻🍺🍕
I don't think it will fit on that Milwaukee stand. I have an old DeWalt miter saw stand that has a board that it would easily sit on. 💯🍕🍻👍
Would this cut brick ?
I'm not sure if they recommend installing a diamond blade in there. The M18 Cutoff Machine is a good choice for cutting brick. It comes with a Milwaukee diamond blade.
That kinda sucks they don't even provide you a Wheel To get Started
Yes, it would be nice to include one.
@@MarkThomasBuilder every other saw on the planet comes with a starter blade don't matter if is a Circular saw or a jig saw or a Recip or a miter or a Table saw or any other saw I'm missing abrasive 14 inch blades are only 9 something bucks especially for the price they charge for this saw should have a blade with it
Well I guess the saw is right there, right here, right back here right now or just right here right there so it must be right ok. Right?
😅👍
Why do they put the blade on the right, makes it hard for right handed people
Good point.
I dont need a chop saw, 😢I dont need a chop saw😮 Be strong...... I need a chop saw. 😂
Haha, hope it turns out well for you😅🙌
Price is a problem. You can buy and equal to better performing corded unit for a fraction of the price.
Yes, the cordless convenience is expensive, but a 12Ah battery will lots of metal studs on a single charge.
That goes for all battery vs. corded tools.
I have a question Mark . , I see your double axe logo . I saw it on another channel I am subscribe to. I am curious it represents weapons of Christianity , I think .. but the other channel the dude sends subliminal messages in every video . Hidden language .
Huh, interesting. My logo shows tools which represents my channel being about woodworking, firewood splitting, and home improvement.
@@MarkThomasBuilder No offense i red. that , on an artlicle , just curios , because thrre is a dude a homesteder that has two axes ans he sends subliminal words un his cntent and discuses things that almost suggest i would say discontent with the government and he keeps getting worst , likecsuggesting go move to upper grounds if youknow what i mean -. He does all kinds of fatm sutff , but i liytle paranoid hr does a lots of wood chopping.
what? who still uses abrasive cutoff saws? Seriously. I see no benefit to them for any material at all. I been using metal cutoff saw now for years, I will never go back.
I still think they're a great option for steel studs. Thick steel is cut best with the Milwaukee M18 Metal Cutting Circular Saw, which I need to do a review on this month.
@@MarkThomasBuilder I guess it being cordless is the benefit see. I don't know of a cordless metal blade chop saw. THe circular saw review will be interesting, I have not used one of those, but I do have a ton of blades for them I got in a auction lol
This is an underground and rough in plumber's best friend.
Wow, do you know how many Milwaukee videos you have ? You know if you work smart you can buy your tools and be wealthy also. You don’t need to receive free tools.
I like to feature a wide variety of tools on my channel, including some of that people not have seen in a home improvement store. I'm probably in Home Depot 3-4 times a week buying tools, accessories, or building material for work and personal projects.
Worst tool I've ever bought from milwaukee by far. Takes 2 12.0 batteries to cut through a 1/8" thick 2" wide piece of flat stock. Complete joke
I recently found a steel cutting diamond blade that might work well in this.
Acme tools is doing a deal on this saw right now till the end of October if you buy the saw you get a Free 12ah Battery @MarkThomasBuilder
Several of us got in on that deal when Acme posted it to their website. Before tax $319 (bare tool) and two free 12ah batteries. Moments later, they fixed the oversight. I’ll give it to Acme they honored all of the deals purchased before they updated their website.
@@BigHoss-dk4qj I have noticed Acme is good a honoring no matter if it's a accident or it was posted wrong that's why I love being a Rep and Affiliate for them
