Not sure what happened to the damn audio, but I basically said that bit does not do well with thick metal or masonry as it losses power. DAMN YOU MAKITA GNOME!!!
Then try a different blade that could cut thicker material and by the way, I only use wet saws to cut masonry as OSHA has recommended for health standards.
That explains alot🤣. I was like this is different a nice lil moment of silence to admire the tool.
Lol, na.... I messed something up 👊👊👊
@@homelee665 yeah me too. I watched it three times trying to figure out what I was missing. lol
It's awesome! Not a lot of people know this but it can turn on its side and function as a sander. Also, works as a nail grinder for werewolves.
I bought one of these like a month ago and found out very fast it needs to be able to be plugged in when in the shop and m18 powered when your outside. Now im going to have to buy like 10 12.0s lol you got me again milwaukee lol
That would go "really nice like" with my deep cut band saw. I'm a welder so YES, I will buy this!!!
Been thinking on getting one. I'm a welder that's slowly been switching to battery tools. Started with Dewalt but changing to Milwaukee. The batteries are junk in Dewalt they lasted about 5 to 7 months and ended up with a dead cell. I'm glad to see Milwaukee expanding their line of tools for welding.
How many battery packs failed you in that time? I’ve used dewalt for the past 7 years and only had one pack fail me and they sent out a new battery.
@@mission664 I went through 2 batteries one came with the the set and the other was a extended life battery I purchased separately
I'm actually happy to see another welders opinion on here. I feel comfortable now, lmao. I was literally thinking the same thing. I'm going battery with juat about every power tool at home except my machines, obviously lol.
0/10 Do not recommend for a welder
Cool and hilarious Clint, I saw the makita version online seems good too
Cool and hilarious Clint, I saw the makita version online
As always real nice like and good review, plus some good humor.
I'm not going to buy it...but that doesn't mean I don't want it. I'm talking about the shades😎
Would this be a sufficient tool for cutting exhaust piping for making custom pie angles?
Great video !
I just could help myself but I just finished watching the video you did with Vince at the homedepot .
Their are scenes with Vince when he looks into the camera for example (31:22) and he reminds me of your gnomes I see in your video clips.
That made me laugh quite a bit each time he stared into the camera
Hahaha, they are one in the same Mike!!! I'm convinced of it brother 😐
Does it work with the carbide tipped metal cutting blades or just abrasive blades?
no sound after 4:30
Comes back on 5:30
His camera panning says it all
These chopsaws are great for plumbing rough in, slice through PVC like butter and perfect cuts every time. The fast stop of the blade would make it a little harder to spin the pipe on the side and bevel it but you could still do it.
Clamp the trigger.
What type of blade do you use to cut pvc?
Clint;!! Don’t throw that piece of angle iron away, drill a small hole for a bolt another one for a sleever bar! Put it on a piece of leather! Presto sleever bar holder! Ya there in high demand for us Ironworkers’s! That’s what I do I make scabbards, pouches for Ironworkers’s and that’s so nice like! Everyone loves my work!!! Digging that chop saw! Thanks 🙏
Yeah buddy!!!!!
Milwaukee safety glasses are overpriced and get scratched as soon as you open the box. I would take those clear ones all day every day.
Thx for the review looks like a pretty solid chop saw 👍🏼.
Great great tool from Milwaukee. I wish I knew how to weld because if I could I’d buy one.
I wish I had a use for it! That way I could need itlol
Proud of you brother!!! I saw you facing your fears, and hanging out with the makita gnome in Philly. Gotta let him know you’re never scared 😂
My favorites part of this video is
between 04:35 to 05:31 don't miss that part!
I would've thought you would've like 0:38-0:50 it's all about safety lol
That damn Makita gnome!!
Lmfao @Vcgconstruction
It's "B-roll" with no audio for dramatic effect, it's artistic expression.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
i dont have any Milwaukee tools but this is really cool wish dewalt made one. maybe they will take notes.
Was “Vance” running Audio at the end??? That’s one heck of a price point! I’ve been debating about my “need” vs “want” for a cordless mitre saw and had my eye on the DeWalt FlexVolt | 120V ac kit as a way of justifying a new battery line (which might now be irrelevant), soooo I might have to double-check the naughty vs nice(like) list to see if I … errr my wife thinks I’m eligible
Hahahaha, Vance 👊
I will stick with my evolution chop saws atleast you can out a Carbid Metal Cutting blade on it and have less Sparks then a Abrasive blade thanks for the Video Clint @ToolReviewZone
So why couldn't you use a carbide metal blade on this chopsaw?
@@UpInYourFeelings Milwaukee dosent recommend to use carbide blades no idea
@@AntonioClaudioMichaeldidn't know that, very interesting. I'd use them anyways but at same time I don't require a chopsaw for any of the work I do. Maybe sometimes but I'll use my original M18 metal cutting circular saw, a grinder or portable bandsaw when I do need to cut metals.
@@UpInYourFeelings I agree always another way to cut metal
@@UpInYourFeelings the Milwaukee saw is not recommend for Carbid metal cutting blades because the Milwaukee spins faster then a Cold Cut Carbid Blade should be cutting at
You are sooooo funny man you make my day every time I watch you 😂
Freaking awesome. Thanks James!!!!
The guard on mine catches in the blade slot before its al the way down
I think I'll stick with my M12 compact bandsaw for cutting unistrut. It's... real nass like! Anything BIGger, I've got my (free) deep cut Dewalt from the recent "buy batteries get free tool" deals at the Homeless Despot.
Real nasss like💪🏽 I'd use a metal cutting blade instead of the abrasive blades.
Smeeesh that like button. 👀👉🏽 👍🏽
Thanks for the SMEEESH Jason!!!!
Thanks for the SMEEESH Jason!!!!
Perfect DIYer tool
That’s Real Nass Like. Way too go Clint. You know I like MilwakIA.
Hahaha, what's up Marshal!!!
At 4,000 rpm max can it use metal carbide blades?
They missed an opertunity to make this a cordless cold cut saw instead of an abrasive saw! I have a Milwaukee corded abrasive chop saw thats probaly 10/12 years old and still cutting like a champ. However repeated cuts in 1/4" angle or anything more and you'll blow through batteries, and that's why I didn't bother buying this. It's one of the few very high draw tools that just doesn't make sense to go cordless with unless you need the portablity/remote capabiliteis in the field to make a few cuts. This doesn't replace an abrasive cutting station setup.
Sure it is very similar to my Makita corded but the Makita is limited by the cord, so Yes I will buy one to replace my Aged Makita and get another awesome 12 amp Milwaukee battery which is compatible with my other Milwaukee tools.
Looks great
What about a metal cutting blade? I love my Evolution saw
Thank you so much for the terrific video! :)
I saw what you did in the beginning. You and Vince steel each others spot light. Y’all could cut it out with this saw. 🧐🤪🤣🤣
Hahahaha, well played my friend 👏
Thanks for the great video, I to 😀, 👍👍
price doesn't sound too bad considering the battery is almost $300 by itself, lol. seems to be the norm though, they sell you a battery and throw in a tool for $100
Do you think you could try throw on a cold cut blade instead of the abrasive blade?
No, that's a bummer. Only Abrasive
I have no use for this but watched it anyway because I always enjoy your videos! One complaint. Same as my complaint last time and you promised to fix it!
There was no whaaaaaaaat?
Hahahahaha, retransmission damn vide messed up. I had it in there🤣🤣🤣🤣 Don't know what the hell happened to the sound, but next one will have a Whaaaaaaaaaa????
Nice saw clint
I smeeeeshed the like button despite the makita gnome striking like a thief in the night at the end of this video...🤦 Respect Clint. The chop saw is a beast, but a one trick pony. Entertainment value is thru the roof on your reviews. 🍻
Haha, that damn Gnome.... he's so pesky 😪 thanks brother 👊
Let's see what elevator installers and ironworkers have to say about it. I'm sure it can handle metal studs with ease.
The missing part of the video is real Naasss 👍 like
I don't know what the hell happened there 😕
Its ok bro! Either way it's REAL NICE LIKE!
I'd like to see a chop saw that had 90* of swing on cutting lock. So annoying having to keep flipping that shit around trying to figure out the angle.
It would be better if it was a cold cut saw too. I almost died of old age watching that cut angle....
And on top of that, I think it was 1/8, not 1/4
For once I have a serious question.....Towards the end of the battery juice does the RPM slow down? making the cuts take longer...or is it b.... to the wall to the end of the go go juice?
Great question loan! Yes and yes. The sag in he battery is pretty noticeable on anything other than studs. It will basically shut down I you give it to much downward pressure
Check your audio after "let's talk about this"
Hi Clint
Now I do like that mate. Real Nass Like great video 👍👍👍🥃
These are on eBay for 220 bucks I it’s a must buy at that price
What about 20g and 16g 3-5/8 studs
Nice
I can smell the cut metal already
Oh and yes I love this saw!
The joke about the glasses and vcg is awesome. Or it wasn't a joke at all😁
I think Milwaukee should of put that type of brushes motor on their 12 inch fuel
Where’s link to where you can buy it?
Hi James. Link is in the description below the video 👊
If I where Milwaukee's development team I would have skipped this tool and gone straight to a 12-14" cold cut saw. Just saying. I bleed Milwaukee red like a lot of contractors but for me I would have built a cold cutter instead...
I’ve got a evolution cold saw and it’s honesty a game changer, no sparks, dust and nice fast cuts. The angle adjustment is great too, you can get precise cuts easy
Milwaukee did build one but they discontinued it shortly after due to complaints. Probably noobs wrecking expensive blades.
That thing looks like a beast bro love your skit with the Milwaukee safety glasses 🤓 got to love Vince he should put prescription lens in them cuz he wears them all the time lol @VCGconstruction
Cutting metal?
why the audio missing?
Not sure what the hell happened 😪
Sweet but know not planning on getting one
Looks well made. I don't mind the corded version, if they make one.
Milwaukee could have made this saw infinitely better by having a speed control to slow down the blade for use with the steel blades. Would have been so easy too.
Sounds like time for a diy mod!
This wouldn't have the torque
Lol at the Milwaukee glasses.
Hahaha 👊
Bee stings on da feet?! No thank you 🥺
Like button SSMMEEESHED 🔥🔥🔥
Hahahaha, tha ks for the SMEEESH Eli!!!!
I love Saw ! hahaha
I might buy it to have it. You never know at 70 yrs old, if I'll need one. 🤔
That Mil-F**** tool cuts like a hot damn.
Sorry, Clint, I like those bee stings...but I squared you away anyhow.
Hahaha 👊 👊 👊
Yes, absolutely I would buy it jus bcoz it's a Milwaukee and they ARE Top Shelf above the rest!!😉🤣 Thanks Clint!!! 👍 ✊👊🤜🤛
Thanks Silver! 👊
Lost audio! What did you say?? 😭
Damn audio😪 Basically it doesn't seems to have the power to cut much else than metal studs.
Smeeesshed! No B stings 4 mee!
Hahaha
Hahaha 👊 👊 👊
Billy Bob and the koonder doon boys are gonna need a Honkster
But why would you need a cordless abrasive chip saw, why not use the metal cutting circular saw or a grinder, seems like the battery life won't be great so one of the tools I'd say get corded version
Vince again 🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣. Killing bol
For 399.00 with a 12.0 battery that is a great price!!
Damn, only $400? That's pretty damn reasonable.
I got it for that with a 12ah battery
Puts the blade in backwards
Don’t mean to be rude sir. But I do believe that is ⅛” or 3/16” at most. Based on my 20 plus years of cutting the stuff. Looks cool anyhow. But definitely not ¼”. Maybe a measure with a tape first next time. Just for transparency. But I don’t mean any disrespect. I’m am a fan of your content. And subscribed. I’m a fan. But I’m not a fanboy. Ride with the wind dude!🤘🏽🤘🏽💯
The angle that is. 1-½” maybe 1-¼” inch angle ⅛” or 3/16” thick. The burr looks to be adding a visual thickness discrepancy. Anyhow. Peace.
real nass like.
I think an industrial electrician would like this saw
Am I the only one curious as to what he needs to build with all the small pieces of the $1000 steel stud he cut off. Hahaha or just maybe he might be building a tornado proof house for a hamster or something!!! 😂
Hahaha
"lets talk about this for a minute" or not... :)
I bought it i wasnt impressed i eventually got a lennox diamond blade works better makes the saw not useless
Good to see they changed the handle to be used by humans. The corded version has parallel handle which is carpel tunnel in the making.
These saws are epic for masonry. No more hauling around my 200 lb brick saw. Bubububut what about the dust destroying the motor. Come on bro it's $300 that means you could buy 15 of these for the price of a brick saw. Besides you could hook it up to a vacuum and OSHA would love you for life.
Vince with the 🤓 🤣 And what’s up with the gloves? Why gloves to sit down and talk?
Haha, he crazy 🤣
That video was moist
So moist!
Why do you call it Milwauka I AA ? 🤔
An commercial electricians fave tool.
Jeez, and I thought you just fell into the Milwaukee orgamasmatron... Don't go blamin the Gnome on that one!
I BLAME THE GNOME! 🤣👊
1st
Screw that. Why don't they make a 14" dry cut saw. At one time they did make a corded version and for reasons I've never been able to beat out of them they stopped making them. Abrasive saws suck. Carbide saws rock. Also, a sheet metal base is bullshit. The vice looks weak as well. This is a solid pass in my book.
Other than being "battery operated", I see nothing special about this saw. All saws of this design cut the same way. The only variable is the blade.
Unfortunately its an abrasive chop saw jus like makita. Cold cut saws are 50x better and maintain full depth of cut. Abrasive chop saws are jus old technology. Time to move on
Sounds weak.. why is the red devil so insistent on using 18 volts? Two batteries would solve the issue. On the other hand a 12.0 battery/charger/and saw for 400 bucks is a decent deal.
👍🏻🍻🍺🎄🎁
Hi friend!
@@amoscardoza5253 How have you been we were talking about you on Chris's last show hope you're doing well and sailing well we miss hearing from you👍🏻🍩☕🎄🎁
I have one and it’s a piece of junk I got it as a gift so it’s hard to return but please don’t buy one your self. Would not wish this saw on my worst enemies. It only last a couple cuts in heavier gage metal I do have a 12.0 ho and still no work time don’t buy. Evolution makes a great saw
Moist!
