Chip: "If anything breaks on the car.. you can drive it in to any GM dealership and just plug it in.. and get the part replaced..." yeah right !! get real man... nobody in their right mind will let a dealership mechanic anywhere near that car..
Muzz Steam I think Chip was trying to emphasize the ease of any kind of mechanical/electrical repair,
but to your point, I agree 100%! aint NO way I’d let some wrench monkey near that gorgeous work of art!
The man always strikes me as not only highly skilled but humble and very polite. A real genuine man.
David Harrison Amazing works of art. One day when my finances are richer. I will start a collection of FOOZE CARS. I MIGHT EVEN START A FOOZE LICENCED PAINT & CHROME SHOP WITH INTERIORS SERVICES. & SOME LIGHT TUNING. NOT NO VYNAL WRAP!
I remember watching Overhaulin' years ago and vs his old boss Boyd on "American Hot Rods" ... Chip always seems like a down to earth, VERY talented guy, who unlike Boyd's shop ... he really respects the guys in his shop and even when he has to ask them to work extra or stuff like that... he really feels bad about it, vs "you work for me, if you want your job, you HAVE TO DO whatever I say" like i saw in other shops
It's that he's fighting just to stay awake.
He works 24 hours a day - 8 days a week … plus overtime.
o_O
That's a genuine impression. My personal experience meeting him and the experiences of several other people I know who've met him are exactly that: A humble, down-to-earth, super friendly guy who's just freakin' *nice*.
FOOSE A very BLESSED MAN . God given Talent . Humble person ... Doing what he Loves To Do ...
No words could accurately describe how beautiful this car is! The engineering design and workmanship involved is so high on the charts that it cannot be measured. Totally fantastic!!
Cars can't get better that this.
The classic lines, mixed with the latest technoligy.
The blending in the paint is immaculate. Amazing project.
Still would not trade nor suggest this comes close to the excitement and experience when I first drove my 65 ‘ impala ss convertible out of my parent’s garage and down a grassy alleyway and around a few blocks after several years of repairs that started when I was 15
A moment that still brings a smile
The open road and
Freedom was finally mine
Best looking ‘65 I’ve ever seen. I can’t imagine the cost, but when money is no problem, that’s what you get. Excellence.
I think I want to be a foose when I grow up
If there was change from 2 mill it wouldn't be much 5 years to build it
@@NZMOPARhuh?
Chip Foose is a true artist. His designs are masterpieces. This Impala Imposter is beautiful. To hear it rev would be amazing!
I have always thought that the 66-67 Chevelle resembled a shorter version of the 1965 impala. I love the body lines on both
When I was a toddler my father put me in the family station wagon and drove us to a Chevy dealership. That evening he bought a 1965 Impala SS convertible. "Metallic" blue, black bucket seats, zip out rear glass, console shift with a manifold vacuum gauge mounted in center. 283 ci. Top went down and a "boot" snapped over it. My father and the car are memories now.
WOW! That is an incredible build! Lots of hard work over a period of six years, but the end result is unbelievable. Chip Foose, and all of your craftspersons, did a helluva job! You deservedly won the Ridler Award. Poor Alma probably doesn't want to drive this priceless car. I bet her hubby bought her something ahem, cheaper 😄 Amazing, Amazing, Amazing!!!
what a beautiful car! foose is a true designer, he's not (just) going for the awws and ohs, this a full concept design with a deep planning level and perfect craftmanship to make it happen.
For my taste, the wheels are to big in Diameter and look too modern.
All the other work: marvelous.
Not a fan of the wheels either. But the rest is killer.
Awesome work, but call me crazy....I love the original!!!!
Glock F, You're crazy!
this color of this impala most be the best i ever seen of my life, soo beautiful, but foose allways designs beautiful cars, he have a BIG HEART to the cars this man...
Yes, Mr Foose is very careful with his choice of colors - They are subtle, and always serve to highlight the beauty of his cars. It's just another facet of his genius.
I could never drive that car, it's just too good.
I agree. The impostor is its too good to go shopping or to see a movie out of fear of another car will dent it when they open a door. This truly is car building a whole new level. It makes you wonder why cars are not even close to designing cars like the imposter despite all this technology
I agree with the optimistic people that things freaking I don't know it's hard to find a word good enough for it, heck they should probably go drop another $500,000.0 with Merriam-Webster so they can make a word just to describe it. Yes it would definitely live in the house with me.. Hat's off to you Chip Foose you and your team are truly legends.. I'm 56 years old and I want to be like you when I grow up. ...
I'd drive the wheels off of it ... carefully. Lol
the only way to explain Chip’s amazing talent is a Divine gift. His imaginative vision, planning to the nth degree, meticulous execution, exacting standards always result in a masterpiece. But it’s his humility and sometimes self-depracation that make him a Divine gift to us mortals. Well done sir! (as always!)
Some call it divine, I am sure he would call it determination, drive and just plain old hard work.
I am, after carefully watching the three videos, in complete awe. The way this project has been thought out, developed, and eventually materialised is absolutely magnificent. The craftsmanship of those people is overwhelming, and the simplicity with which mister Foose explains it all almost makes it look 'easy '. This guy's a genius, a passionate miracle maker, and humble, modest, a real example for all of us car lovers and those of generations to come. Not to mention the outcome....Ouffff!!! MAGIC
The amount of creativity, labor and skill involved in this build is simply breathtaking. One of the best builds in the history of custom hotroddin!
Chevrolet should re-think their decision to discontinue the Impala model line. Rather, they should hire Foose to redesign the Impala based on the "Impostor", give it a uni-body variant..... while retaining as many of the body's curves and accents as possible. I wouldn't want to be caught DEAD in an Impala from the 1970's to 2010's. But the "Impostor"..... I that's something I'd be proud to drive around in....... and I dig those rims.
not sure about anyone else but I am quite partial to the 96 Impala SS. But I agree, the impala needs to be a cruiser with a bruiser attitude and Chip is probably the only one who can design something worthy of the impala name.
I’m sure it can be license to build - $$$$$$
Like they are doing the BAT CAR !!!
Joshua Szeto I agree ☝️
rkmugen that would be nice. Now throw in the beefed up roof pillars, crash crumple zones, pedestrian safety ride height, etc, annnnd... you get an SUV.
@@joshuaszeto My Man! You hit upon one of my recurring fantasies! Retain the original wheels, lower it slightly (w/ an appropriate rake), make the interior top-notch (bucket seats and floor shifter mandatory). But most of all, convert it to a two-door coupe, in the highest Impala SS tradition! Am I right?
This makes me cry. My Aunt Irene Had a 1965 Impala. She never married. A real saint. I miss her too much. God Bless You. Thank You . OH!
I’ve had a bunch of 65 impalas. I love the mods you did. it’s one of a kind. Over the top cool! Love your fab department! I used to run a limousine manufacturing plant. I love how you make anything you can draw and design. So many details! Great leader and team!
Awesome job as always. Hopefully they keep the car. I remember the Foose team built a car for Joe Rogan called Sick Fish. It was a badass Cuda....then a few years later he got rid of it. Who could get rid of a Foose Design.? I'm sorry maybe there was a good reason.? All I know is if I had a Foose Design vehicle, let's say a ( 1955 Ford flareside pick up, sitting on a late model supercharged mustang running gear and equipped with hand controls = so I could drive it ) they would bury me in that vehicle when I died.!
"Sick Fish" was a 1970 Cuda that was designed by Foose but built by Troy Trepanier @ Rad Rides by Troy.
I love the color of the car. As well as all the big and small details on it. Perfectly built.
The craftsmanship and skill needed to get this car to this level is absolutely flawless what a privilege to watch a team of high end car builders come together to make this dream come true, Chips ideas and modifications to this vehicle is outstanding what a creation he would be my only choice as a car builder awesome job guys.
Isso é um grande sonho, e eu aproveitei, quando jovem, muitas aventuras... 🇧🇷
Parabéns pelo rico trabalho, tremendamente emocionado!
Beautiful car. The 65 Impala was a true classic to begin with. Chip managed to keep the classic look of the car but still improve in it. Now.. Is it just me or does Chip not age? Seriously he doesn't age! He doesn't blink either. Maybe he's a robot. Or an alien. That's it he's an alien from a planet.in another galaxy where the inhabitants don't age or blink. So I just want to say to Chip.... Wel-come to our pla-net. 😁😁 Awesome job on this car. Beautiful!!!
It always amazes me the talent people have, I had a brother in law who passed young in his thirties of a massive heart attack that built a 67 Camro from the frame up in his barn and it was not only powerful he built the 350 in it but beautiful after he passed his wife sold it, if Tom had lived no doubt he would have built many beautiful street rods.
wow absolutely beautiful. Amazing work! I love the impala design. This is exactly what I would fall in love with.
“When she drives it...” lmao this thing will never see a road only a trailer. Incredible work as always foose!
What a talent. True craftsman.
Hello Mr. Foose
I consider you the best of the world. I saw the most part of your programs in TV.
Unfortunatly the TV of my Coutry do not have any more.
Congratulations for your good work. As soon as I saw you in youtube, I could not resiste to send this mesage.
Have a GOOD Christmas for you, for your Family and all of your collaborators.
Best regards,
António Oliveira
from Porto (Portugal)
Must all the shots of the car be so tight? How about a farther-away shot so we can absorb it all, not just one where a lug nut fills the entire screen.
@Patric Vaden - Exactly what I said. Annoying camera work. Tere's no way to truely judge if the proportions and lines of the car really work.
No one cares for your comments - move you ass to get some work done you lazy ass
That's right no personal opinions on this channel allowed.... How dare you guys not be 100% satisfied and lie about how you feel.? I know...you guys must be trolls.? Yup I knew it, you're trolls. Isn't that the way it is in snowflake land...if you don't agree with the masses then you must be a troll.
I was thinking the same
Or even just a minute or two of the owners driving it down the road!
I love Chip. Well not love him love him!! But so people know this was a couple of years ago. But I could watch this car everyday!! Rich 😁😁👍👍👍🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Chip has created an absolute masterpiece amazing
Chip foose is the only builder who has numerous riddle awards and a TV show. Who owns the company and also does the work.
Damn I miss watching overhaulin.
Its been back for a bit.
Everything is so perfect and those wheels are amazing
If I should vote my favourite car build ever... this car is my vote! I felt in love with this ride since the very first time I saw it... the two tones paint, the wheels, the 65 impala fitted to a Corvette chassis(!!!!!!), the interiors... the chassis paint, the engine bay, the interiors. Everything is what I love of custom car! In my opinion this is the number one custom car ever build in the world!
BEAUTIFUL 65' i am 62 yrs old and Owned Many Classic's and Still do.. i guess i am Old School ..
i Just don't understand How anyone Could Look at those Rims and think That Looks Good.... i sold my 69' Old's 442 the Kid that bought it Put 26 inch rims on it, DAMN, Ruined the Looks, his Car Now. Then about 2 months later i was going down 10 mile rd with a friend of mine, he said That's you Car at the light... it was, but the light was green, he was Stopped, i turned around to see what was wrong, He hit a Chuck hole and Blew a tire & Rim..... Yeah i laughed ... i guess with the young ones it's Bling Bling Mo Fo.. Some Classics Just Don't look right with rubber Bands for Tires... My Opinion & Many Others...
+1.. This Chip Foose guy's automotive design talent is beyond description.
I would say the owners had a big say in the type of wheels that are on the car, after all if you watched all 3 parts of this video chip does say everything is designed for them to fall in love with the car. I dont mind the wheels on that car but they probably wouldnt have been my first choice and we dont know if they were chips either.
This makes me sad that I never got into car building. I make a great living doing what I do but my early years as a machinist and metal polisher were so rewarding.
Chip Foose is a Genius he can build anything he wants! He is a mastermind vision understanding the way way the vehicle operates he is the Best of the Best 🙌🙌🙌🙌 ☝🏽❤️🙏🏽
beautiful craftsmanship, time and the LOVE. lemme drive it!
proof absolute that Americans CAN have true craft and true appreciation for the aesthetic. I think you yanks should be proud of this guy because he is the absolute Master.
The master! Another masterpiece! Beautiful!
Almost doesn’t seem real....craftsmanship at this level. The masters
Agree completely. This is on the skill level of the Bugatti Aerolithe re-creation.
FOOSE Perfection
The lost art of coach building. Smells like good ol' times.
Amigo, soy de chile. Me encantan tus trabajos y saludos a todos los que estan detras de cada proyecto. Felicitaciones.
Me gustaria saber el valor de este vehiculo tan hermoso
Nice job Chip,
I had the pleasure of meeting him at the 2010 Sema Auto show in Vegas, he asked me what I thought of the overall show said it was awesome and I told him he was the Cadillac of cars in his design work
great car melding two in one, two great choices, beautiful.
What I wanted was a good look at the car - what I got was a paint commercial - THUMBS DOWN
This is quite possibly the most beautiful car I've ever seen.
love this car my 2 favorites blended together .maybe not better but definitely unique and special .
To me Foose designs are the most subtle and the most complicated cars, and yet when you look at em, you just fall in love, car enthusiast or not, you have got to appreciate the amount of heart, soul and hard work went into building this car, absolutely stunning
Well done mate sometimes it is impossible to build that impossible but I guess you made it it you built the imposter
Chip you're such a great man ... really you're my idol
He is
Man...Why don't they make these old classics anymore! These plastic cars/trucks nowadays dares not to compare to come close...
Wow, that paint is sublime! It gives you different looks depending on angle and conditions, great job!
Would love to see some shots of it on the road.
This organization is so very capable I think they could build a Space Ship and fly it to Mars! Spectacular!
Your attention to details that no one will ever see is amazing. You ARE the bar that everyone aspires to be. Keep ‘em rolling out of your shop.
Maybe start with a Chevelle put the Impala and Corvette features in, done! Either way this Impala is one fast custom ride
We need people like Foose, who give life to the classics who really look good in my view, with modern equipment for driving comfort, safety and opportunities
Why not more "car" enthusiasts like richard who wash a car and price gouge it😏
@@JoseContreras-mv5yz Yes, that too, but Foose takes it to a new level.
@@remiandrepedersen868 I don't take nothing from Foose. He's been a great if not one of the greatest car builders of our time.
@@JoseContreras-mv5yz So absolutely😉
Chip foose, you and your team are amazing. If I ever win the lottery il be asking you to finish of my Mk1 Escort restoration lol. You are the best car builder in the world.
I would personally much prefer it unlowered, regular muscle car stance would just look so nice I think
Awesome! I would have liked to hear her engine run though.
John Di Francisco just listen to a C6 corvette
Chip is a great guy but his custom paint always looks flat to me. No depth to it.
Also, the wheels are always too big
The only thing Foose does wrong is use skinny ugly wheels on all the cars he works on, takes the muscle off of muscle car.
It would be an honor to be able to afford a Foose original hand made car of my dreams.
J en rêvé,et Mr Foose et son équipe l ont fait, merde, ces mecs sont simplement géniaux !!!!!!!!!
The Big Auto industry could learn so much from Chip on what the people LOVE!!!!
The grill doesn't look like the intro
Is there any team better that Foose Design? Simply beautiful!
Most beautiful car I have ever seen, done absolutely right. Great job
Clean damn machine, but those wheels are absolutely hideous.
Yep, they're way too "busy" for the lines of that car.
Ditto that thought. Love the car --> hate the wheels.
Agreed. One would have thought they could have come up with something similar to the SS wheel covers of that year.
agreed! old school US mags ftw
TOTALLY! '60s style custom wheels would've been mind blowing with 15" white walls w/chrome reverse ot Torque Thrusts. And with those typical Foose trademark dated modern two-tone paint... just not my thing. Can't knock the craftsmanship though.
Annoying camera work. There are no good shots to really judge the true proportions and lines of the car. From seeing previos videos, it would appear the use of a Chevelle body would've warranted far less chopping!
And I wonder when this trend of putting giant, overly busy wheels w/rubber band tire are going to stop. At least the amazing headligh bezels and grill show very tasteful restraint, as well as finally toning down that dated Foose trademark 2-tone paint.
you dont know shit. And by it being the winner im sure everything was correct. so stfu..."There are no good shots to really judge the true proportions and lines of the car" dumbest shit ive read on the comments. they clearly show shots from a distance.
Amazing build!
Ficou maravilhoso, parabéns.
I'll never forget the time I met Chip at Ruby's Dinner in Tustin, Ca. in what now seems like a lifetime ago. .... My wife, baby daughter and I pulled into the parking lot and I noticed Chip's Cadillac wagon parked in the parking lot. I said to my wife "I think Chip Foose is here" .... We went in and sure enough, he was there with his kids, just having a bite to eat .... The funniest thing for me, is that I happened to be wearing a Foose t-shirt at the time (Really!) .... The point of the story is that even though he was with his kids, after I politely went up to him, he took the time to shake my hand and said thank you for being a fan .... The t-shirt set the meeting over the top for me! .... He is a very humble and respectful person and it always translates into whatever he does .... Always the best, Chip! You are a true artist!
HARİKA ELİNİZE EMEĞİNİZE SAĞLIK ÇOK GÜZEL RESTORE ETMİŞSİNİZ😊👍👍👍☕👋✋
Not like today cars. Are ukly. Love the impala. 1965. 🇺🇸
Foose has a Library of Information to Make any Car shed it original Form a Genius in his Area of Specialty , He is a Bless Man , A Human One will Say ...Chip
Work to perfection. Love u Chip!!! 👍👌👍👌
Everything this guy does is amazing... he somehow sees how something should have been, he makes subtle changes that capture the beauty of the vehicle he is building. Gifted is a term that gets thrown around a bit, but this man is truly gifted. Alot more could be written about the kind of man he is, suffice it to say that the caliber of his character is no less that that of the vehicles he builds
amazing foose i love it you work! hugs from argentina
Very beautiful... Chip Foose is the only car designer and builder who's not afraid to push the envelope, other car designers, engineers and builders are just too lazy and scared to think outside the box.
wow,
this shape is soo nice.
Chevrolet should produce this as a regular model.
wonderfull work they did here.
Nice work.Wonder how much it cost to do?At least $99.95?
Absolutely beautiful car. The words finest craftsmanship went into creating this vehicle. Great outcome.
In the misty moonlight,, I could be happy in one little room, with just a table and chair as long you are there.
A gift of a custom car for his wife.
🤗The car is a wonderful work of art! 🤔Where do you go and drive it, and how far will you go driving it so you don't mess up the car under it?? 🚗 😳I know that I wouldn't want to drive it, not after spending all that money on it. 💰💰
Foose is the best.
Nothing about them wheels says Corvette,, but overall nice car
Love to see a build off between Foose and Dave Kindig.
His artistic talent surpasses greatness!
Now this is one Espectacular car to see. A true Craftsmanship and Art both Combined.👊🏻💪🏻
Oh… my God. What a beauty thank you guys for share with us….
I've actually dreamed of what a 70 Malibu would look like sized down :)
Waoo..hermano de verdad estas pasao...el mejor...algún día me gustaría conocerte..
