Since Covid I’ve actually been planning my main meals, I do a months worth at a time, very seldom do I need to make any changes. I have a list of everything in my freezer, as we use something I try to replace it as soon as possible. There is only my husband and I in the house. I have found it a great idea as my husband knows what is planned for meals

I am very much the same, I have a cleaning schedule - daily tidying for bedrooms & bathrooms with 1-3 days of the week for deep cleaning of assigned bedrooms ( flexible if something unexpected comes up or I have a clinic appt which I most times manage to arrange on a lighter day etc) . In my year diary I write things I have to get or want done, any projects, and list of items etc to buy. In regards to the can opener, buy the old simple traditional ones, they last for ages- I always buy a couple of them. really reliable.
I like your idea of making a prayer list and use sticky notes and put in the Bible that inspires me to work on reading the Bible and praying for people.

finally you have a quiet month!! lol. organizing a house is a work in progress, ALWAYS!!! lol. just because it works now does not mean it will work in three years. What worked when a kid is 5 does not mean it will work when they are 10. lived in the same location for over 20 years now...and we've reorganized the house several times...sometimes small things here and there, other times yanked it all out and then put it all back a different way. to each their own.....once a month shopping, if only I could....we're up to once every 4 months..mass cooking for a week...and Amy has saved my family with MANY new recipes!!! thank you!!

I don't know if anyone has suggested this yet, walmart has a safe cut can opener. It doesn't cut so it doesn't get dull. It breaks the seal of the can. It's maid by Mainstays. Amy hi , I have the xxo brand can opener it opens cans great . it opens cans so you have a see less edge so you never get cut . You must try it . I got mine at Bed bath and beyond I think ? . Or Walmart ? . Love it , it’s very strong also . It sets on top of your can and you turn the handle to open it from the top of your can so much easer . Hope you like it. They sell on amonzon also. I also know how to run to the store even though it is less than 2 miles away and to just cook with what I have. Could you do a video on some of the simple things you would make to make meals on a budget. I still make do with what I have even this week. I was suppose to make a dish with bbq sauce. None in the house. So I changed the flavor from bbq to mexican with some homemade taco seasoning of my own.

Growing up my parents made *donut muffins* which were any muffin coated in melted.butter and cinnamon sugar when they came out of the oven. Sometimes they would inject them with jelly. YUM!

Amy- I have a recipe for an apple cake that my son and grandson absolutely love! And it's almost identical to yours! When I used to make it, the house smelled so good while it baked.

Hi Amy, i think my downfall is trying to tackle too many jobs at once so taking it one thing at a time makes sense, as a single parent of 3 its all on me to get it all done. . But making lists and even just writing things down when im stressed helps a lot. Have a blessed day/night and thank you for sharing your ideas and tips.

Amy, I love my Kitchen Aid can opener, I paid $25. for it at Kohl's several years ago and it works great. I was tired of replacing my can opener almost every year. My kitchen Aid has been a blessing.

Amy hi , I have the xxo brand can opener it opens cans great . it opens cans so you have a see less edge so you never get cut . You must try it . I got mine at Bed bath and beyond I think ? . Or Walmart ? . Love it , it’s very strong also . It sets on top of your can and you turn the handle to open it from the top of your can so much easer . Hope you like it. They sell on amonzon also. My husbands says it does ant work for him can I buy him the old fashion kind . Lol 😂 he hates new inventions . Oh well I tried . Be blessed , Sharon chew 🙏😊👋

I also know how to run to the store even though it is less than 2 miles away and to just cook with what I have. Could you do a video on some of the simple things you would make to make meals on a budget. I still make do with what I have even this week. I was suppose to make a dish with bbq sauce. None in the house. So I changed the flavor from bbq to mexican with some homemade taco seasoning of my own.
