This may be an old video, but it's the first time I've actually seen how to do it properly. All the other videos I've seen just say to move within 1km and it just works. It doesn't... You have to target the actual beacon or get close enough to the actual beacon itself for scanning to work.

Loved listening to your cute voice! :) The video is great too. One other note: Nav Beacons are "exciting" places to hang out. Lots of action (and often piracy) there! The first time I did this I was amazed at how much was going on nearby. It makes sense though. Nav beacons are located near the primary star of a system and very close to where travelers are jumping into and out of the area. Be ready for lots of noise. And once you've got your data, bug out!

Lara, nice commentary but when you crashed into the Nav beacon I did not see any scanning animation. Shouldn't it show that your ship has scanned it like seeing a bar fill up or something ??

John Mc it Says scanning in the bottom left of your screen. When it’s done it will say something in grey on the top right of your screen

I did this and reached the location. It was near the star. And i had something else marked but it did say Nav Beacon. But it wasnt a white triangle

You have to find the white rectangle… The yellow word is not it
