  • Are you guys ready for the REAL data?!😈🔥
    Today the B9 S5 is on the dyno ready to break some hearts!
    We are going to be flashing all the baseline Stage 1 ECU and TCU tunes(BDT, o34, IE), back to back to show you guys the who is doing what on the platform!
    We will flash the vehicle (20min each flash), perform and log 2 pulls 2 mins apart, and go over that data with you! Then we want you guys to weigh in and tell us what you think!
    Where do you want your power?
    How would you want to see you vehicle tuned?
    What's most important to you top end power or bottom end power?
    We are here for you! We want to customize your tune to the specifications you want to see!
    Thanks for watching and stay #bdttuned for Stage 1 e85 data next!

    Great video!! I see a lot of peoples B9 dyno videos and have never seen this level of information. I love to see the comparison between different tuning companies. It is interesting to see how the different companies offer tuning strategies. I really like seeing the graphs with the HP change at different RPM's along with the boost pressure. I use 034 for my S5 Sportback.

      I have an RS5 B9 with IE stage 1 ecu 93 with stage 1 tcu and its wicked. Had stage 2 tcu and was way too aggressive even in the least aggressive setting for the tcu tune. For the track its probably great but I don't track it

      I don't believe so, later in my career, yes. There's not enough rs5's in my area to see the reason for development. Now, if someone wants to drop one off, I could easily make a tune. It's an mg1 ecu, I'm very familiar with this ecu structure as it's in the S5.

    MMM delicious data. What's your opinion on running those boost pressures over the life of the vehicle? 25+ lbs seems like a lot but I haven't been in the game too serious for many years, you think the powertrain will last 100k miles or should you expect to start needing parts within 30-50k?

    • @anthonywallace319
      @anthonywallace319 Год назад +1

      The B9 3.0 is a really strong engine, its had many years of maturation. There are plenty of people on the Audiworld/Audizine forums that have been running extra boost for years with no problems. The engine and transmission (ZF8) are definitely not the weak points in the configuration. The small stock turbo is.

    • @gravitycat7874
      @gravitycat7874 Год назад +1

    • @anthonywallace319
      @anthonywallace319 Год назад +1

      @@gravitycat7874 that's why one of the first mods recommended for the 3.0 is always a larger intercooler. Quite possibly the weakest link in the setup is the laughably small OEM intercooler that comes on the S4/S5. That and a larger turbo inlet helps dramatically.

      In dyno mode usually it over rides adaption and puts it to set power. Instead of slowly building up and adapting. The 1/4 times should tell if adaption helped the tune.

    • @boostdynamictuning
      @boostdynamictuning  Год назад +5

      Every tune is better in some ways. It's not about the power. People want to know the overall experience and that's what I was trying to provide .

    • @synergy2782
      @synergy2782 Год назад +1

      @@boostdynamictuning I understand what you were trying to do. I just bought a 2022 RS5. I saw this and wanted to know which tune would be better overall. As the creator you should make the call and say which tune you think is the best. Some people care about specific details as to which tune is better from 0 to 60, which is better for launching, which is better at top end. When you mentioned the dyno possible errors I didn’t know what to think. Make the call on what you think is best. That’s what some of us want to know.

    • @boostdynamictuning
      @boostdynamictuning  Год назад +15

      @@synergy2782 totally understand, I really was trying to not call out some companies on issues. If you want the truth, personally I think BDT has the best drive ability, best safe reliable power, and best bottom end punch that holds you to your seat. Only issue is BDT doesn't offer on the fly map changing. That's in the works.
      034 has a great tune, but I didn't like when I was driving that all the power was only in the top end. Plus the tcu tune from 034 was wayyyy too aggressive for slow driving speeds. For example just driving out of my parking devision I was getting a kick back from the car shifting while going 10/20mph. Kinda like someone hit me from behind.
      As for IE, It's a well rounded tune, except some cars experience this back and forth kinda like drive train slop. The tune is actually the issue from the oem tune. 034 fixed this issue, and so did BDT.
      Transmission tune from IE was there, but nothing extraordinary in my opinion. There you have it, the blunt truth behind all the tunes.

    • @synergy2782
      @synergy2782 Год назад +2

      @@boostdynamictuning you did do a great job being more than fair to the other tuners. If you have the best tune and you call it as you see it, I don’t see that as calling anyone out when you are speaking facts based on data. I spend a ton of money on cars and performance upgrades and I want the absolute best.

    • @boostdynamictuning
      @boostdynamictuning  Год назад +5

      @@synergy2782 well most people view it as cocky, or biased view. I'm a data driven guy, so I can provide data to back these faqs up and let the custom decide which tune is best suited for them.
      Personally I really really focus on smooth driveability, but when you hit the throttle I went to be thrown back in my seat. BDT delivers this on everyone of our tunes. You can see in previous videos of other companies how I give people that punch in their seat that they're looking for.

    • @boostdynamictuning
      @boostdynamictuning  2 года назад +8

      What's strange about it? Look at the data logs, they're spiking less boost in the bottom end, and lower timing. This is a stage one tune. Personally they're just creating a very safe level of power, while waking the car up. Now their e85 will lay everything to rest. Video drops next week :)
