Set in a massive open world, Ghost Recon Wildlands takes place in Bolivia, where the Santa Blanca drug cartel has transformed the country into a narco-state. Players take on the role of a member of the Ghosts, an elite US Special Operations unit tasked with disrupting and ultimately dismantling the cartel. As part of a four-man team, players must navigate the treacherous landscape, forge alliances with local rebels, and engage in intense tactical combat against the cartel's forces. With a wide array of weapons, vehicles, and gadgets at their disposal, players can approach each mission in their own unique style, whether it's going in guns blazing or opting for a stealthy approach. As the Ghosts unravel the cartel's operations and take down its leaders one by one, they'll face increasingly difficult challenges that will test their skills and resolve in this gripping tale of justice and redemption.

Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Wildlands is a third-person tactical shooter video game developed by Ubisoft Paris in collaboration with Ubisoft Bucharest, Ubisoft Reflections, Ubisoft Montpellier, Ubisoft Annecy, Ubisoft Milan and Ubisoft Belgrade, and published by Ubisoft. It was released worldwide on March 7, 2017, for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, as the tenth installment in the Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon franchise and is the first game in the Ghost Recon series to feature an open world environment.
The game moves away from the futuristic setting introduced in Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter and instead features a setting similar to the original Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon. Ubisoft described it as one of the biggest open world games that they have published, with the game world including a wide variety of environments such as mountains, forests, deserts, and salt flats.
Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Wildlands received generally mixed to positive reviews from critics. A sequel, Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Breakpoint, was released on October 4, 2019.

Spec Ops REACT to Ghost Recon Wildlands | Experts React #ghostreconwildlands #SpecOps #ExpertsReact
I’d love to see a coop of this with the duo. Much more fun to be had when you’re the one messing around (or taking it seriously).
Maybe even a full play through with tips for other players with there personal experience how it could help but two other veterans to aid them
@@itsthatpilotguy all good suggestions
@@itsthatpilotguyi'd want to see that
Would love their reaction to Battlefield: Bad Company 1 or 2! The ridiculous humor and banter in that game, I promise you would spark up some hilarious memories for them lol
Yes please. Make this happen
Thissssss
YAS
The best Battlefield games to date, I wanna see this
Izzy has played through Bad Company 2. I have on good authority that he did enjoy the story very much. Definitely would need the Cam and Izzy treatment in this format!
The original Ghost Recon was a hardcore tactical shooter. It’s old (and like classic Rainbow Six doesn’t even display your gun model), but it’s a lot of fun and I’d love to see a reaction to that. The original Splinter Cell games would be cool as well.
I think the first 3 SWAT games also didn’t display your gun model.
Honestly, Splinter Cell games and Classic GR both would be amazing to react to.
The very first Rainbow Six (1998) with the World of Guns mod was how I got into military weapons and also part of the reason why I wanted to join the US military (Army). 🙂
@@MisterNi R6 + Rogue Spear will always stay in my heart. Now I love to follow Ground Branch :) And I love Ready or Not, that game will be a gem for all of us who love those slower tactical shooters :)
@@sefin84 That's good then. 🙂
Cam is 100% correct. It makes no sense that everyone in Bolivia can speak English as only the wealthy and those who live near tourist locations speak English because they interact with foreigners more often. Rural farmers in the Bolivian mountains usually don't have a need to learn the Queen's.
I'd like to see you understand the game with everyone speaking Bolivian
@@turtlemann1569 I get what you were trying to do, but there are 37 official languages spoken in Bolivia, and none of them are Bolivian as that is what you call people who were born in Bolivia.
I also get you mean it's easier that everyone speaks English for English gamers and yeah that's true.
But it's also not realistic for an entire population that doesn't have English as an official language out of 37 choices, to speak perfect English.
@@Juggtacula yeah mate I get it but the game should add like the AI that foam around to speak Bolivian and other languages
@@turtlemann1569 Bolivian is not a language, there is spanih and another 36 dialects but bolivian as a language doesnt exist, I think the previous comment was exactly about that...
There's 30+ Languages in Bolivia but only 3-4 are Spoken in the Whole Country
One problem I always had in wildlands was the fact that when in ‘stealth’ any shot was fatal to the enemy, even toe shots, but once you went loud they had more than 1hp. Always felt cartoony to me.
Yep, noticed it while playing now for the first time, really breaks the "immersion" (the little bit that this game has, that is). I still aim for the head to make it more realistic, tho lol
@@andreiriboli Yup, until you get to a bullshit part of a mission and don't give a shit anymore. Breakpoint definitely improved that aspect at least.
the stealth toe kill shots didnt bother me as much as the alerted point blank pistol to the head that DIDNT kill.
@@blubug768 Yeah, that sucked too. Another thing that sucked was fact that the ai teammates did next to no damage when shooting from a vehicle, making escort missions incredibly frustrating.
@@blubug768 that's only for advanced unidad troops.
I served in the Navy 93-97. Having a few beers and playing this game with fellow vets and a few active duty guys every now and then was probably one of the funnest gaming experiences I've ever had. Our banter sounded very similar to this video and there was a lot of laughing and joking while playing.
1:25 “they’re bureaucrats morty, i don’t respect them” rick sanchez
I don't expect these games to be "realistic", more like "authentic", I guess? Capture the feel of the fantasy without sacrificing either too much of the fun factor or the grounded details that lend it that authentic feel. It can't be an easy balance, and this is where the series has gone wrong for me, with Breakpoint being only alright (12 months or so after launch), but it could have been better if Ubi had committed to the bit more, that "special forces fantasy" they touted it as. They went a in the wrong direction, leaning more towards "accessible" and too far from them the "sim-lite" of the old Ghost Recon games. I still go back to it every now and again (still finishing that Conquest Mode they added bit by bit).
Sometimes it's fun to turn off the AI squad mates and play it like a poor man's Metal Gear. xD
regardless of mechanics it can still be played/roleplayed kind of tactical but unfortunately every single gameplay you find is just them rushing into places, in the one they showed in this video the person doesnt even use drone to recon.
with ubi releasing that extreme mode to breakpoint i thought it was gonna be better but its still played the same way as speedruns, where they just exploit and rush to get around enemies without having to kill them (even though they would hear you).
i always blame the fanbase more than the game
It's nice how Ubi paid a small tribute to snake when Sam came to realization that he's the only one left from the old breed
@@phantomguardian51 Yeah, I loved that bit. It was also great hearing Michael Ironside back as Sam.
exactly. like that "simcade" middle-ground that exists between true racing sims and arcade racers, but for military simulators.
There are games more realistic in one place, less realistic in other. For example call of duty, some missions might look realistic despite they aren't. Wildlands do have some features that are fairly authentic/realistic just the way they are being executed are completely arcade. Now with Splinter Cell with my whole sympathy I just "feel" that despite it looks legit it really isn't. For the most part. Same about ghost recon 1. It is just somewhat realistic.
Wildlands for story/environment, Breakpoint for mechanics
100%
Breakpoint dog sh1t
About time you guys showed them this game. I like Breakpoint but this one will always be one of my favorite GR games. Is it accurate? Not 100%. Is it fun though? Yes absolutely.
Glad to see someone else mention the sagging backpacks, I couldn’t use 90% of them due to my phantom back pain.
I prefer Wildlands. Breakpoint has a lot of decent survival mechanics to spice up the game, but it also has a much bigger focus on fighting drones. I prefer the enemies of Wildlands more where you're taking on cartels and militaries.
You should have them react to some four player squads playing Wildlands or Breakpoint, especially from the likes of creators like OperatorDrewski where they go really hard into the milsim tactical playstyle and not just lone wolfing it.
It’s always more fun to kill humans
Also dis doesn’t look free and I want it lol (I have no savings I can use for buying games)
@@APersonOnRUclipsX At least on Xbox, it's included with Game Pass and currently on sale for $12.
Breakpoint is just a complete bullshit in my opinion. It is like a comic book, feels pointless and they made far insufficient changes to the series (graphics, animations, realism went backwards actually)
@@APersonOnRUclipsX ahem the illegal game copy
The only price you pay is lack of mp
I cannot stress this enough, please ask the boys to do Ghost Recon: Future Soldier.
One of the best GR games and the team dynamics and gameplay is sick.
Future soldier was super bad ass 🔥 I even have a Mitchell future soldier statue! 😆
Breakpoint's my hands down favorite from the settings letting you make it punishing from sustained injuries to letting you pick and choose the darkness level or how many bandages or what your syringe can and can't help with. The Ops would probably love to see the amount of customization you can do with it
Wildlands, just a good after work shooter with friends and that first person mod really changes the overall feel of it. Not a bad game, but it all comes down to preference
If wildlands had all breakpoint had it would be way way wayyyy better than breakpoint
Big time! Plus some oversight by military vets (Seriously, it's a Tom Clancy title, it's the least they could do) overseeing and adding some details to it would be great too. Plus, and this is a personal nitpick, adding the effective ranges for these weapons too since there's constant training over these weapons, their effective ranges and so on. Saves us the guesswork that way or have the effective ranges "written down" after we fire them like our character's learning about this at the same time we are. Series may not be perfect, but it can always get better if they applied what works for the universe instead of trend hopping like it's a bar game
Wildlands has better gameplay, setting and story. And breakpoint has better mechanics and enemy variety.
@@TheLionBoss47 Gameplay definitely gets points because Ubi really screwed up by leaving some parts unfinished like sinking into a mountain side to the point that you need to respawn at the nearest camp, Golem Island. STILL. Despite it being one of the more aesthetic locales in terms of biomes, but in Breakpoint's defense, at least the civies AI isn't as stupid as Wildlands. ie: Dumbass civies funneling into the shelter you're in during a firefight, blocking your shot by being bird-brained scared, etc. As for story, Breakpoint definitely bridged the gap with the Conquest story add on. Just hope the next installment, they actually finish the game without all these bugs that would make even Bugthesda chuckle along with the "minor" stuff like the bipods actually deploying instead of just being an aesthetic add-on.
The reason why breakpoint lost in my eyes was this whole comic book BS theme surrounding everything in this game trying to look as less serious as possible. And I know why, because they had a spat with the Bolivian gov, that trashed them for misrepresentation of bolivia (they also did a documentary about bolivia before they released the game as far as I remember).
This game is really entertaining but the cringe is stronger. Most of the time the squad sounds like edgy teenagers playing paintball :D
That’s probably the target audience though respectively
People in the military simultaneously age severely while also not aging at all so it's not surprising that they kinda sound like guys fresh out of high school
@@rattlemebones7942 It's not just what they say but the way they say it. Typical situation "Here comes the convoy, let's make this nice and smooth guys!" "Yhea baby, here comes the party!" The rest of the team: "HOOAH!" And I'm like :-/
@@ivandksd yeah I know, the way they act and what not, it aligns with the age of high school people
Lol yeah but it kinda added some charm to the game
I love the freedom it gives you to tweak it to be far more immersive, which makes it more fun. Of course it's no sim, but good replay value.
They're commentary on everything is so Interesting yet funny at the same time 😆
as a big ghost recon fan, i love watching Cameron and Israel deconstructing this great work lads! :)
Such a good game. Would love to watch these two and two more team up and play. It’s a great story line. Thanks guys. 👍
This game becomes a different level of fun when you get rid of the hud and minimap and have to use your eyes and ears. Makes it far more immersive and realistic feeling.
Aw yeah I’m always down for more Cam and Israel!
I have to say having experts judge and explain games does so much for improving games and general education of people.
Next for this game they should react to Ghost Mode. You only carry one primary weapon and a handgun. If you die, you restart the entire game
God this game is one of my favorites. I unintentionally learned some Spanish with all the time I’ve played
Claro !
Honestly, the banter between the boys can make any game even better. 👍
Cameron making fun of the PX pack. I'll have you know that my Bug Out Gear pack is still going strong after 13 years. It is even a conversation starter when people recognize the pack.
I would say the pouch on the helmet was actually a battery pack. Looks like it had a patch on it too. I would say its an IR patch so it reflects for the NODs
16:20 “I have a twin seester!” Lost it🤣
I'd take Breakpoint of Wildlands.
I felt more independence of action, more sneak and more stalk in Breakpoint. Nothing like finding the weak point in the patrol, cutting the fence, sneaking in, sneaking out and not needing to pull the trigger once.
Also I really liked the more techno-anarchist element of Breakpoint.
Something about that island just worked way more for me too.
techno anarchist theme is mostly in watch dogs which is also a cool game.
@@kollerb1272 I bounced hard off of Watch Dogs, it didn't work for me as much as I hoped it would.
Something about the world felt... bland?
Either way, I've had a lot of fun with Breakpoint.
You can complete some missions in Wildlands without firing a shot as well.
I'd say wildlands is offering you to take some creativity and invention in completing your goal while breakpoint is tacticool stuff aimed at shooting only. For example in wildlands you can have numerous ways to stop a convoy and everytime something unpredictable can happen. This is not the case with breakpoint. Breakpoint is dumbed down so young players can just focus on shooting. There's absolutely nothing more to it. Some more rpg elements, ridiculous story and even more ridiculous setting
The funny part about the player being able to fly helicopters in Wildlands is that one of the missions brings it up as a plot point.
They need you to help them with the mission because you're the only one rated to fly helicopters.
Can I just point out how awesome Israel's room is? Mega nerd and I love it lol
6:11 my boy seems to have been playing a lot of resident evil 4 ;P
I love that Israek has the "NO STEP ON SNEK" flag haha
Me, a person named mason, not focusing on this video that much and watching through them going "MASON. TELL ME ABOUT THE NUMBERS MASON" freaked me out
6:11 someone's been playing a lot of RE4 😆
Clicking in to this video then alt tabbing back into the new Ghost Recon Breakpoint! i shot a civi and after perfect timing you said "Oh No War Crime" LMAO
It's kind of cool that drones are getting used more in the military because I could see it being used for something like localized OverWatch
I just bought this game. This is dope they doing this episode. This game is really really really good lol
The "no step on snek" flag that Israel got is hella funny!😆
2nd time watching this, these 2 are great.
"one Texas resident is enough"
I can say this game is really fun with a couple of buddies. I’d say like battlefield 3 level of messing around. Trying to hit enemies past render distance with sniper shots. Using your buddy as the spotter within render distance. Ditching a plane mid flight. Detonating C4 and killing your friends mid helicopter flight
11:55 USAF has been increasing drone usage as well, both officers and enlisted. ("Pilots" being enlisted is a big deal... even for drones, at least in the USAF side.)
My father did wear a cowboy hat when he was still an 2Lt. every time his team goes out on a combat ops he would sport his adidas jacket and his cowboy hat on. It was his sort of trademark. 🤣
cool fact. the Ghosts in GR:W are a group made from the best of Delta Force, meaning the Ghosts are the literal best of the best.
Love this game the only issue i have is with every game like this focusing on the so called all American heroes. As a former UK solider (Rifles) I think the UK gets shit on from a great height- which is unfair in my opinion
AGREED. I’d like Rainbow 6 international team in Ghost Recon open world
I've got the same no step on snek flag! Let's go man!
Wildlands is cool if you like a good story. I like Breakpoint because of the mix of military and sci-fi elements
Finally! The reaction I've been waiting for.
Even though I was an 11Chuck, but I was attached to a Calvary Battalion and smaller scale a Cav Troop (2-1 Cav 4-2 ID S.B.C.T./Stryker Brigade Combat Team) Anyways they of course wore Spurs on their Boots and a big ass expensive Stetson Black Cowboy Hat, of course you'd never see someone pulling a LC Bill Kilgore/Robert Duvall rocking a Stetson in an active Red Zone, but this dude is so Badass looking for the best break for surfing so that guy can do and wear Whatever The Fuck he wants! "CHARLIE DON'T SURF!"
Have you ever reacted to "Sere" on the show "The Unit"? If you haven't that would be really cool to see! Thank you both so very much for your service!
7:07 The numbers Mason 😂
At this point I see Wildlands & Breakpoint as 2 sides of one coin
would love to see cameron and israel play ghost recon wildlands and breakpoint all the way through
Frr
The flip zoom optic I used to have when I was able to legally own a gun the magnification was standard at 3.4 but that was a few years ago, I think some flip optics can go to 5.5 magnification now
They do have a mode called Ghost Mode where you get one sidearm and main weapon and when you die you lose your character
Breakpoint has less strict missions like go here at this time and get to him at this time while being unable to kill anyone then being attacked by every enemy in the base in all directions at the same time while your AI teamates stand around letting you die
I read somewhere that the soldiers of Ghost Recon are selected only from the Green Berets and the ones that are selected go through further training. Izzy could also be a Ghost.
These are insurgents tho, they wear shit to blend in, they aren't going to be walking aground like on a parade, "yes sir" everybody and saluting.
I'd love to see them cover Ghost Recon Future Soldier.
I'm sure Izzy would get a kick out of Kozak's accent too XD
I been playing Wildlands for about a week. It's one of my favorite games now. I heard Breakpoint was trash. I never heard of Future Soldier. I have to check that out.
@@silvertrain4209 Breakpoint 'was' trash, after many months, they added ai squadmates (yes, this wasn't there at launch), then they added the realism mode which disabled all the gear levels and gear score/rpg-lite junk gameplay, it also made headshots a single hit to kill, (and in-general weapons did more damage).
Then they added options to remove some drone enemies from the game, and now, it's quite a good third person open-world experience. It lacks in some areas, sadly, but it's a lot better now than when it launched.
Future Soldier plays drastically different from both of those games, it's mission based, there is a constant active-camo for you and your squad-mates, but it's affected by movement, you will always be moving as a squad, planning and executing attacks with position and gear in-mind. It's the kinda game where running and gunning will get you wasted quickly. They introduced the sync-shot in this game first and it's incredible, absolutely worth a play or 5.
Breakpoint has more vivid colors but you're pretty much on your own. This game you can customize your character and team. I read Ubisoft sent a team to Bolivia to record real sounds of the country and recorded real gunfire sounds. Breakpoint they tried to make more RPG finding or buying a lot of the same guns and upgrading . Wildcards you just find extra guns in certain areas and change attachments.
I finally got my hands on a copy and my guys are actually dressed in olive green jacket, with greet tactical pants, combat boots, boonie, shemagh around the neck. I have a total black outfit (With the tactical helmet for nightime work). So somehow having the same thought as Cameron. Strange but pleasant coincidence.
I just started playing Wildlands last week. I like the environment in the game. Reminds me of exploring in Far Cry 5, which I loved.
one of my favorite games i think the people playing did it dirty i still loved the video though keep up the great work
The Navy now allows a neck tattoo behind the ear that's 1" by 1", and hand tattoos are authorized as well.
Cameron Israel you guys and the recon marine and the navy medic need to do a full playthrough of this game I think you four would have ton of fun.
Their reaction to The Division games would be pretty interesting.
Needs to be footage from Ghost Mode about half way through the game after you have a decent gun and optics.
“I give it 5 years before we have neck tattoos..” literally the same year 670-1 updates.
Opera over here like; “you get a neck tatt, you get a neck tatt!”
I would love to see you two review Army of Two 🔥
This game is gold. The only thing i hate is enemies can see u in dark even if they can’t irl same whit bushes or high grass. But rest of game is amazing.
loved every minute of this video, make em do player vs player in Ghost Recon
The tabby slime with a giant beret is very cute
Iron sights should always have a contrasting color on the tip for shooting at targets in shade or targets that are wearing black. Just one man's opinion.
I love how you did this five years after the game came out and used the lowest graphics settings possible anyway XD
...and small (tiny) neck and hand tattoos are authorized as of now
Love these guys
Gotta remember, nomad and his team aren’t special forces, they are top tier. A team of guys who don’t officially exist.
Wildlands had a much more realistic (grain of salt here) setting, but Breakpoint got the mechanics and gameplay just right.
I would love a Wildlands remake with the Breakpoint mechanics.
They changed it recently. You can get a hand tat the size of a quarter and on your fingers. You can also get a small tat behind the ear.
we now have seen em both reacting , next time we wanna see em play it
you guys are just great!
Just downloaded it when the vid uploaded
I was waiting for more reactions on Wildlands
Make them react to the splinter cell games I would love to see that especially the interrogation lines or the pastor fail lines especially the one where he makes the guy thinks it's a training exercise
That's crazy this guy Brian Menard who is a Marine is also streaming this game on RUclips right now.
“hey speak English to me” 🤣
They really should have ended this with The Predator DLC. Would have been fun to see thier faces.
I missed it the first time, but the other guy during the interrogation had a flintlock pistol!
happy to see Custer's video here
when it comes to interrogation like in the beginning of the video, if it is the only option to do it on spot is it possible, and also when extracting said person and this needs to get done asap is it better to get as far away as possible or getting somewhere close but quiet and just out of reach of the enemy, ive played both wildlands and breakpoint, and every extraction mission feels like exfil is a few blocks down the road
At the start of the BR hype, I had so much hope they would adapt this game for a proper BR mode. The weapon mods, open map, vehicles.. character customization… so much potential missed, but perhaps for the best… we may never know
Making ghost recon into a battle royale is the worst thing they could've done, glad it got cancelled
@@leonrussell9607 they could’ve added another pvp mode to Wildlands without even having to recreate it in first person the way they did.. idk why you think it would be bad, the pvp was decent last time I played it
@@Haywood.Yablomee they literally could have called it anything else, slapping ghost recon on a battle royale game is a disgrace
Wildlands for story and world, breakpoint for weapon customisation. You guys need to check out ghost recon future soldier. Wouldn't mind getting your take on that game
Their point about the helmet is why i always made a day time outfit and nighttime outfit
They should react to older games like Call of Duty Ghosts during some of the stealth/undercover missions or Killzone during the Helghast War or Shadowfall being more special ops/behind the scenes with the SHadow Marshals.
Have you guys ever played the old Socom games on the PS2? Those were great games.
Plot twist. They’re already implementing neck, hand, and behind the ear 1x1 tattoos in the military.
Smoke after gassing a whole building: "Oh, no! Warcrimes."
“One Texan” 😂
think "tango" is for terrorist which makes sense in a hostage situation. where as during war enemy military and insurgents are not necessarily terrorist. One thing these 2 forget about or just don't know in ghost recon lore is they are supposed to be like the delta force of delta force.
wildlands was a fun open world shooter for sure, but no doubt willy nilly with all the crazy stuff you can pull off. You should show them some late game stuff attacking an outpost loudly without doing stealth or a Breakpoint part 2 with cameron.
That must be an army tattoo policy, I had a Ssgt in my airforce unit that had some hand tattoos and they were perfectly cool with it.
