Am I the only one who noticed these cuts are backwards for outside corner miters?
To alleviate the issue of it not being straight on the ends of the tile I was thinking if you have a scrap piece of tile clamp down directly butting the tile you’re cutting it will keep you straight because it won’t fall off the end do you think that will work? You will probably have to grind that edge off as well I’m thinking
Seems like I am always beveling the back of the tile, did you try that out
Awesome tool. Wish I was remodeling my bathroom so I could use it. Thanks!
it’s very helpful with bevels and bullnose!
sup.... I have 2 bathrooms that need to be remodeled. What ya doing after new years?
Holy smokes!!! Well once again, you guys showed me something. Never knew a tool like this existed!! Super Cool Tool Fool!!! Hoping all is well, keep droppin knowledge & Dirty Jersey out!!!
Awesome video Jeff nice work! Just in time too. Practiced bevel cuts with my wet saw and was unable to get an even bevel cut. Would it be possible to do a video on polishing? Thanks again
Have you looked at the Sigma Jolly? Im a full time tile setter. I think I'm purchasing the Sigma Version for my miter cuts. I cut them by hand right now. Although for me holding a grinder for long periods is getting hard on my hands. I have a lot of years setting tiles. My plan is to table top mount the Sigma to allow smaller niche meters. I enjoy your videos. Montolit is normally my go to for tile tools.
thanks for the great question, I haven’t looked at the Sigma Jolly. Is it similar to this Montolit tool or a bit different? Maybe we need to take a look at it and see if it’s a better option!
@@HomeRepairTutor There is not many English reviews. However I like the option to cut greater angles then 45. Also think the table top style mount option is great for small narrow tiles.
@@corylapointe94 ahh, so it might cut at 46-degrees to help get a tighter miter...that would be awesome!
@@HomeRepairTutor yes exactly. It will cut from 35 to 55 degrees apparently. :)
@@corylapointe94 sweet, let me know if you get one and what your thoughts are
Looks neat, but also looks like a pain in the neck. What's the cost?
it's actually very easy once you do it a few times. Cost ranges from $800 to $849. That's why we said it's a professional tool. But pros can make this an option for clients
@@HomeRepairTutor Interesting, cool video! 😎
@@LandbergTileTV thank you, keep up the great videos over your channel!!
@@LandbergTileTV I was going to say, your miters are just wow!
A seasoned pro will mitre that with a makita and finish it with a variable speed grinder and get a perfect mitre without spending $500 for this attachment. I think it’s a good idea for a bullnose but with a mitre u really need to have a skilled hand to get them perfect
I'm not sure it's aimed at seasoned pros. But at $800+, it also seems a little pricey for a DIYer.
So, why are you beveling it? The only reason i can think of is that if there is crap on the corners of the floors. Or maybe trying to match the tapered edge from a normal tile on one that has been cut.
outside miter joints where metal profiles or bullnose aren’t wanted. This tool also creates bullnose and chamfered profiles
@@HomeRepairTutor So it can act as its own termination, thats kinda nice.
Pretty fancy gear there, is the bevel cut better than a wet saw?
it's similar but you can also make bullnose cuts, which isn't possible on a wet saw. No doubt, this is one of those tools whereby it needs to make business sense to get it.
@@HomeRepairTutor Very true!!
Can you please please let me know where I can get an STL wheel I can seem to find anywhere
did you want the fine or medium grit?
@@HomeRepairTutor yes
When did you film this because it's awfully cold here in Pittsburgh for a t-shirt
lol, it was much warmer on that day! Now the weather isn’t as nice
Great
Does the top profile come with the bevel blade I know the bullnose blade is sold separately
I’d check that with the seller
👍👍👍
thank you
Man I like this tool but they should flip it and turn it into a table!
Raimondi for 45' is 100% better
Well u just took me off the fence on getting this thing. Seems like a complete waist of time and money to me
Ещё та хрень.
👍👍👍
thank you
