About 5 years ago, I completely gave up on Klein tools. Every pair of pliers I've bought since has been Knipex, and i have no regret. As far as screwdrivers, I'm hard on them. I've bent or broken Klein, Whia, and Wera. I'm currently using Vessel Ball Grip and am very happy so far.
I have most of these lol. I must admit I thought Klein's impact rated stuff was a gimmick until I replaced a "misplaced" 11 in 1 with an impact 14 in 1. Man do I throw that stuff in my M12 driver almost on a daily basis lol. Klein fastback knife with the impact bit holder too. Knex ratchet and nutdriver kit etc!
As a german I enjoy watching your videos because Knipex makes some US only tools and I can steal the model number off your vids haha. I cant imagine using both Klein, Wera and Wiha because Wera and Wiha are just that much better Screwdrivers. I imagine the Klein feels like youre holding a Waterbottle its so huge
the old klien screwdrivers are some of the best ever made. my journeyman has them and they are just as good as my wiha and weras. its the new ones that fucking suck
Ratcheting screwdrivers Klein does the best. Wiha does insulated very good. As for wera, I only like the compact ratchet set that they have and nothing more than that.
I’ve got that new 11 and one with the new super low drag ratcheting handle and I love it. I’ve always had the 11 and one standard Klein and I love it It did take some getting used to because I could take my standard one and know exactly which way I needed to flip it and where each bit was.
Look into the Simon tools but holder for the M12 line. It's the best tool I've ever bought keeps the bits you need handy and on the tool so not dropping or bubbling bits in pouch or pocket. It's a game changer and a life saver worth every penny
This is a great list of essential tools for any DIY enthusiast or professional tradesperson. What are some tips for keeping these tools in good working condition, especially the cutting edges? Thanks for sharing.
I'm working with my dad (plumbing, gutters, waterproofing) while doing my own stuff on the side, I decided to invest in good quality tools. The knipex bolt cutters are a ma zing! One of my favourite tools for sure, but for those of you that plan on cutting bigger stuff, I advise you get the 25cm version. I use the 20 cm with comfort grip. The Milwaukee impact driver is a dream to work with, we use it daily. I also recommend you guys get the new 25 cm version of the twin grips, I use the 20 cm version and it's one of those tools that saves the day. Same with the pliers wrench (18 cm comfort grip), Cobra (18 cm comfort grip) and the Cutix (used daily)
I started with the 7-1 impact nut driver from Klein and switched Milwaukee because in the impact the design of the Klein starts to wear out fast where the Milwaukee has not and you can apply more torque to if you look at the design.
Those Klein strippers are great, but there's no way to lock them closed. It's the only reason I use the ideal ones. I had a m12 a couple years ago until I eventually killed it. I liked it, but that fat handle, and the foreward/reverse button, drove me nuts. Absolutely love the impact 11 in 1. Can't say enough nice things about them.
So I’m like the only guy putting a long slotted bit in my Milwaukee surge. Seems like everything built before 1984 was stuck together with slotted pan heads.
I worked for a company that built gas stations and hydrogen fueling facilities, everyone there used the literally the cheapest tools ever!!! Harbor Freight, Husky, Kobalt, etc..... Jobs in the hundreds of thousand dollar range, no one had all this fancy stuff lol 😂
J2000 has hardened blades and the insulated one doesn’t. All j series tools have the hardened blades. You can look up any tool and check if it’s got hardened blades or not. It will says something like “induction hardened blades for cutting nails, screws blah blah blah”.
Do you have any content on Multimeter/ testers ? Torn between the Fluke 117 and the 323 . Im a third year apprentice so I’m on a budget under 300$ . However , i didn’t wanna go the Klein route .
I love my 323. I still use it most of the time even tho I have much more expensive meters. It’ll do everything you need it to for a long time unless you’re doing something very specific
I have a 117 and it’s the best meter I’ve ever used. Great for troubleshooting and the non-contact HV detection gives peace of mind when working in a crowded space. Also, the magnet attachment is a game changer. Blows the clamp out of the water.
The thing that’s kept me away from investing in Milwaukee brand platform is their exorbitant prices on batteries. As someone who deep dives into stuff I started watching Battery Mooch videos on 18650 & 2100 batteries and their freaking CHEAP. The biggest baddest battery Milwaukee makes costs like 35$ in materials and they charge 300$…. Rigid - dewalt, etc… don’t overcharge like Milwaukee does… but I went one so… we’ll see.. but I still hate that their gouging their customers… not cool.
@americanelectrician Has anyone tried the Klein Tools ET450 Circuit Tracer? I wonder how it compares to the Ideal Suretrace 61-948 when they both seem to have the same features. The Klein model claims you can trace through concrete, but the Ideal doesn't state this. Which one is better?
It can trace through concrete. I traced that conduit under the parking lot from light to light with a blind fold on as an example and it took me from one light to the next
I usually leave tools out if they aren’t worth it unless it’s something specific. For this video I literally picked out 7 categories and picked my favorite from each

i really like vessel too but pbswiss drivers are much easier on my hands
@@howardjang1846I’ve just bought a set of PB Swiss and honestly, so far I’ve got no complaints. Plus that lifetime guarantee is pretty sweet.

Dedicated insulated screwdrivers you can’t beat Wera. I think Klein does the multi drivers better, ie the ratcheting impact 11 in 1.
I’m sorry you have such poor taste in screw drivers
@@jb76489 and you prefer what exactly? Only thing I can think of the better than Wera may be Vessel.
Ratcheting screwdrivers Klein does the best. Wiha does insulated very good. As for wera, I only like the compact ratchet set that they have and nothing more than that.

The husky 37 in 1 is an amazing multi bit driver too! My personal favorite!

great channel, excellent videos. Keep making these!
Thank you so much! I really appreciate it🙌🏼
Number 1... Tool i was glad i got.
Bolt cutters, definitely. ♦️
Why don't you use Klein?
Why don't you use Klein?
Knipex linemans pliers are absolutely awesome

First view and the first tool has been on my list for ages!
Klein linesmans will do the same and with more uses
I’ve had this klein set for almost 4 years. Its nothing new but it was black and orange before.
Everything is his favorite
Did you not click on a video that tells you it would be 7 of my favorite things?😂
Best set of sockets for heavy duty work? also, best impact extensions and adapters. 🙌

Christmas for me!
I've bought a screwdriver set by Witte from one of your reviews..👍 The electric set with a triangular shape about 42$ ..in sale..✌️🌟

16:00‼️😂 i had too Sub 🤟
It’s cute so easy then proceeds to not cut so easy 😂. Love the content though and appreciate all the advice and tool reviews
Looked pretty easy to me for a 1/4” bolt. Different hands will have different results.
You said “worked” not work? Did they let you go because you didn’t have good tools?🤣🤣🤣
All for His glory!
Wait, no Hyper Tough impact? I must say the return experience with the one I had was great, even the lady at customer service knew it was a pos
Can you review some cable splicing kits?
Do you have any kits your looking at
The insulated set from Klein is good but I have had the blades dent on me where the j-2000 dosent dent

I have the t5-600 and 362. Both are pretty cheap and I love both of them.
I have the t6 600 and I prefer the 323 every time. The t6-600 doesn’t measure dc
I have a 117 and it’s the best meter I’ve ever used. Great for troubleshooting and the non-contact HV detection gives peace of mind when working in a crowded space. Also, the magnet attachment is a game changer. Blows the clamp out of the water.
Thought your name was Spencer lol

do you like the stepcut xl for cutting mc? typically use my linemans but id like something that could do it a little easier.
Klein high leverage cable cutter
Help me step cutter I’m stuck 😂

@americanelectrician thanks!
i’ve never seen this guy use the tools in real world
👍
The Klein “impact rated” 11 in 1 sucks. The bits are too brittle to use in an impact
It's kinipex or kobalt, I don't understand. Kinipex German, kobalt is usa

Did you type literally every word you spoke? Sounds like you're reading everything you're saying. Super unnatural sounding.
Mate please use the safety glasses when using the cutters. I was cringing when watching you cut the fasteners. Great video as always tho
