    Glad I watched this! Like you I have an incurable tool addiction! Nice to see someone being totally honest about what they’ve bought rather than have the “fanboy” mentality and love that you spray your drills etc! Good on ya👍🏻! The drill bits you use, they look like Bosch not Dewalt am I right? I use them, drill through anything! Cheers for the vid I’m off to buy a door cover!👍🏻

    I went Veto Vswap and had custom panels made for what i need .. i like the knipex cutters great on 50mm, get the CK cutters, same tool but for half the price , ive got the DeWalt version of your drill and that right angle adaptor comes in handy on big existing boards and panels, i went for the tough system draws and 3d printed some inserts, powerbanks are handy i went the ecoflow route.. best tool for me this year was the Cembre B500e its saved my arms a ton of work.. sadly left the trade in Nov due to being f**ked about with money ... and i agree 1741+ i hated the X1 ... great video Adam ... That Makita sds drill is golden, it's definitely worth its weight in gold if you drill a lot out of homes.
    I bought it because the company I worked for only provide battery sds drills and if you have ever had to drill through thick granite walls you'll know it's a heartbreaking task, go through 3 batteries easily without getting right through and having to wait until they cool down and charge again.
    The Makita drill with a decent meter drill bit also from screwfix for about £14 goes through big thick granite walls no problems.
    Saved me so much time doing broadband installs, doing 4-6 a day impossible with granite walls and using battery drills, paid for itself in the first day using it.

    The t-stak drawers are also sold as Stanley and I think they are cheaper. There's also keter drawers which are supposed to be good. Thanks for the honest reviews. Interestingly people search for replacement screens for the brother printer because it auto fills, so you're not the only person who's had a duff screen. Unfortunately no spares are available.

    Thanks Adam, some useful insights for sparks in this. The work table is great, but it isn't your "40, 50.... maybe 60 quid" I'm afraid. I have the original Keter branded one I got in Costco probably getting on 10 years ago. It was about £35 then but Screwfix, B&Q, Toolstation do it but it's priced at £90, though Costco do it for £65 if anyone is interested. Happy New Year and I look forward to seeing more of your content.

    i got myself a set of wera jokers, and must say they work great when you have the space, also, the bigger the bolt the beter. I sometimes help a friend do maintenance on industrial concrete mixers and such, if you have a tight space and maybe a bolt/nut at an angle, don't bother with the jokers, get a normal wrench or a socket. But on a demolition job where we did a lot of bigger bolts in a big range of sizes it was much beter to cary 3 jokers and not have to change sockets on the impact all the time. i personaly like the joker a lot

    Surprised about the Brother label maker. I’ve used one for many years, and it’s been brilliant. Brother, you need to raise your game regarding service. Look after your customers!
    The shelter would be handy, but no use with the awful back doors of the Vauxhall Vivaro and others of the same shape. The doors never stay open, and have no proper stays or locking mechanism. Bit of a shame, as the shelter would be handy.

    Dewalt T-Stak there are V1 and V2.0,
    V2 has ip54 rating
    V1 does not,
    Both are backwards compatible the way to tell them apart is v1 has rectangle cutouts in the side clips and the metal front clips lines go vertical on V2 side clips have v shape cutouts & front metal clips lines are horizontal
    Most on offer are V1 but is better to go for V2.
    Hope this helps anyone wanting T-Stak.

    Honestly the Wera spanners work better on pipework than for a sparks - I never use mine outside of doing heating.
    The 25mm nails on the spit gun and the gun in general could be best tool of the year every year.
    I've had the brother printer for a few years and it's buggy - the software is buggy it's batteries might last one night in the cold van great when it works though.
    I want the Megger X1 when it's working it's great but I won't give up my 1741+ I'll have both.

      The spit gun is incredible but it simply can’t win every year 🤣 fair comments on the spanner’s, lots of people are having issues with the brother printer and it’s a shame you have to keep your 1471+ as I do, just in case. Not great for confidence is it

      @keiththesparky Месяц назад +1

      A lot of the bugs ironed out now on the X1 with the latest update by the looks of it but would seem a small percentage of the X1’s have just been a lemon straight off the production line for some reason. • @vince613
      @vince613 27 дней назад +1

      I work in Telecommunications and we do “hot work” when turning up new power lines. We mostly use insulated nut drivers, but sometimes a spanner comes in handy. It’s not an everyday use tool and not really preferred but that is the only instance I can think of for them.

      @@vince613 hi, that explains the requirements. I have normal fully insulated tools, but couldn't envisage a need for these spanners the thought of sticking a spanner into a live panel is totally no no for me

    i have the X1 love hate with it to be honest and still use my 1741+, i also have the wera self adjusting spanners (no insulated) and love the bigger ones for 25mm glands and ac stuff. I have had my printer for over 5 years and all good until i took it out of the hard case and used a soft case big mistake and cant get a replacement screen 🤬

    • @sotaelectrical
      @sotaelectrical  29 дней назад +1

      I find it interesting that quiet a few of us with the X1 are keeping hold of their 1471+ just in case where when I had just the 1471+ I didn’t have a back up tester, that says something right? Good to hear the different applications that the spanner’s are being used in that work and the brother printer…. Another one bites the dust.
