Omg, I had a 79 d50. Just the 4 cyl. I had bald tires on the back, and i could out handle my friends mustang on the loop around off ramps. Made him so mad. That truck also got struck by lightning. Great time of my life.
I love that little toy,my uncle had an S-10 Chevy that somebody souped up with a built 350 and this truck makes me think of that one,his would bark the tires when you just put it in gear
Remember when they made those little dodge pick ups!! I heard dodge is going back to making little ram 50s next year! They are basically the old dodge dakota but look like a little dodge ram!! That truck you are driving nick reminds me of a nascar truck racer!!

Had an '82' 4 wheel drive. Cool little truck. Glad to see engine was swapped. These were sold by Dodge but manufactured by Mitsubishi. Original Mitsubishi engines sucked. A little work would make a great daily driver.

Seen this exact truck on another site just like this one about 6 months ago, I mean it's the same truck just being passed around.
Never seen one with v8 . Most had crappy 4 cylinders. If i could fit id buy it for nostalgia and sheer fun of v8.
I used to have a chevy luv truck with a 383 chevy. If state of CA wouldn't burn me on the smog cross, I'd take a closer look. Price isn't awful for a complete build like this. But I haven't seen the differential yet. Edit- that looked very clean underneath. Much cleaner than many vehicles that cost 4 times as much.

You feel like you're going for the ride with Nick, vs some of the other folks on RUclips and you know EVERYTHING possible about the vehicle when the video is over. NIck's got the cammy shorts, just tshirts and probably lifts weights a bit. I'm an old man at 57, but still did Deadlifts and upper back yesterday. I'm sore and ate a gummy, but it's what happens when you get older.

I haven't watched the whole thing yet, I'm in the middle. I wonder if it's a 4 barrel or a 2 barrel carburetor? It seems to run good, but with all of the room under that bed, I'd change out thos funny sounding glass packs for a good pair of Flowmaster mufflers...😮😊, ok, back to the show!😅

Before Dodge put out newer mini truck The Dakota few years ago there was little Ram D50 luv bumblebee factory look but needs repaint for sure won't last long for on lot for under $9grand.
If it had an iron block 6.0 LS, I might come get it just too ad a big turbo so I could do a 155 mph on the quick.

Wasn't the D-50 actually made by Datsun/Nissan? I knew a guy that bought a cheap Chevy Luv (made by Isuzu), ripped out the engine and transmission and replaced it with a Chevy 350 4-barrel V8 & 3 speed automatic.
Mitsubishi made the D50. Mitsubishi sold it here in the US as the Mighty Max.
