My mum grew up in Sint Maartensdijk. I spent every other summer of my childhood about an hour from where you shot this video. Other than really disliking oysters, you're making me even more homesick than usual with this video.
A suggestion to visit : Katwijk aan de Zee. It's only 6 miles from Leiden. The bus takes you directly from Leiden (Centraal Station) to Katwijk aan de Zee in only 20 minutes. Have a good stay.
As a kid I did spend many summer vacations in the Zeeland province. Besides Oysters, Blue mussel are also seen a lot over there. Myself I did use fresh Oysters and Mussels I found to catch Crab, my neighbours made soup from them and some ended up the grill.

Hey Travis and Tracy :-) Looks great but how do you bring your oysters home on a train without freaking people out with the sea-smell and the oysters still in healthy conditions to enjoy cooking them? I genuinely wonder..? Is what you find on the beach still fresh?
Hi Hans! We were able to bring them back in some insulated zip top bags to keep them cool (and not so smelly) on our journey back. The oysters on the beach were very fresh, we just tried to avoid any that were open or cracked. We appreciate your continued support, here's hoping we can make it out your way in the near future!
to bad I don't care much for oysters cause this was pretty cool. But is there any chance you guys are going to share what you did with your haul? Maybe a youtube short video on it? You said you like to entertain people in your kitchen, this also could be some form of entertaining people in your kitchen 😊
That is such a great idea, we weren't really sure if people would be interested in our food content, unfortunately, we only took some photos of the mussels we picked up while we were there. Maybe we'll try some more cooking content in the future. We appreciate your support and thank you so much for watching!
I hope you cooked those oysters. Yerseke is beautiful in November.

Yes, we saw so many mussels too! The soup and grilled seafood sounds absolutely delicious. Thank you so much for watching!
If you like oysters, Zeeland is it but also other kinds of fish like eel, very nice! Good job finding them yourself! 👍

That looked like a nice adventure! How were the oysters that your foraged?
