If you thought MPVs couldn’t be exciting, think again. The Volkswagen ID. Buzz is one of the hottest EVs arriving in 2022, and took five years to go from concept to production. But, is the Type 2 Microbus-inspired ID. Buzz another example of style over substance, or the capable electric family car many have been waiting for? Editor Richard Ingram went to Denmark to find out…

No rear vents with fixed rear windows seems like a bit of a deal breaker tbh.
Also the range isn't great and the stupid ID family touch controls are horrendous. No third row seats... Apart from the looks there's no appeal in this van particularly for the price.
No 3rd row, fixed rear windows, and no rear air. Wow....
Air conditioning not in the back is a stupid idea to not sell this van. Not for £50,000 would I buy this.
where are the air outlets for second row?
I like the clean look of the fixed rear window from the outside and I suspect they made the air-con good enough so it works throughout the whole vehicle
Anyone know what the speakers are like?
No rear vents for the AC and the rear side windows don't open?
Looking forward to trying this
Everyone tht has watched Outer Banks wants one of these now. Lol
what is hosts name?
I really want it because it looks so good, it would be so comfortable to travel In
Here is my problem with all electric vehicles they tell you the distance it could do and top speed it could do. But not how far it goes at a constant speed and distance as an average in the city and in distance motorway driving. I would like to know what distance can an electric vehicle do at 70MPH in the dark full lights and in the rain. Same in the city at lower speeds in the rain and in the dark with full lights. That way I can know if an Electric Vehicle is good as a cab or for long distance.
Can't open back windows no vents . Are they taking the micky
I thought the idea of the VW camper van was that it had beds in it and you could go to festivals?
I did not have a good experience with VW cars specially the Routan minivan and apparently some other models same problems. They are way overprice, parts are extremely expensive and parts won't be easy to get in 8 years. Many mechanics don't want to deal with VW cars. Everything break very easy, the body metal get rush very fast and the plastic bottoms fade and practically disappear after 5 years of use.
This is just sad. In our climate no rear vents and windows that don’t open are a major deal breaker. No one would be able to sit back there in the summer.
Couple of things I don't like about the Buzz, we're not getting the short version in the US and it's kinda pricey. I really hope the Canoo can iron out its' problems because I like it better than the VW.
£57150. Starting from.
lol
i need
My motto is: No gas, no buy!
It could be so fantastic, but, no vents, no opening rear windwos as well as only 2 isofix, no 3 ind seats in 2nd row and no 7 seater option in SWB - VW - You can do it in old Touran - 7 seats in 4,5 m long car - this space efficent ev plaftorm gave it 4,7 lenght and all the space wasted. As it is - not so long, with only one motor makes it so nimble and gives it tide turning circle. To get 7 seater, we need to wait, buy much more expensive LWB with bigger battery and to be fast enouh with dual motor setup which ruins turning circle. All big families and taxi drivers are not happy at the moment.
Think I will wait for EV9 pricing. Will seat seven too, subjectively look nicer, may have air suspension option, V2L, better performance and probably range, faster charging, better warranty etc.
I really like this car but the price is a problem. As is the price of the BMW. I can't see how the Germans survive Tesla and the Chinese turning up to the party.
Only problem is thats it electric..We are sooo not there.
comparing to vw t7 this looks just like a joke and expensive one 🥴..vw not took so serious this project more likely just selling a dream to fool's 😔
Yea lets buy el. garbage vehicle now when reductions and el. bills will go up to clouds
It's hideous
Looks like they took a pile a crap and wrapped it in a bit of nostalgia and hope people will be willing to eat it up.
