I think it’s kinda adorable that you mostly cook Korean food due to your friendship. It’s a beautiful share of cultures through the power of friendship
@@lucyderision5560 yeah u can easily lower sodium in recipes tho. not to mention that drinking a lot of water and exercising daily can help lower sodium levels in your body

Sometimes we don't have a trusted adult to teach us life things like cooking, the fact she learned from her bestie (from a different culture) is so heartwarming 😊
Being able to look at something and find a way to incorporate it into your dish is a great sign that you know HOW to cook, not just how to follow a recipe. Props to your friend for being a good teacher, and to you for taking her lessons and expanding on them. Looks tasty and im honestly jealous cause I dont have half those ingredients available to me.
In India we say that whoever eats straight up from the pot will be having a rainy day on their own wedding😂 well most people now don't believe this, but our moms do😂😂😂.
I'm Korean. Kimchi chigae is easy. You can just use kimchi, canned olive oil tuna, fish sauce or chopped fish cake. Then boil! Eat with rice, fried egg and dried seaweed. The best!
Kimchi jjigae is my favvvvvvvorite. It's delish with chunks of bacon and sliced potatoes. Spoon some on white rice!! Omg. I'm drooling. Try it next time!😋
looks good!! a trick is the use rice water (the water you use when you clean your rice) as the base instead of plain water, so good and changes the textures of the stew
I love Korean food and love how she embraces it too. My mouth was watering watching her eat that stew. So lovely that her friend taught her how to make such a delicious looking meal. This is true friendship.
You guys remind me of my sister ❤ back in the day we used to hangout together all the time doing all sorts of things. We even used to get the same midnight cravings. We'll be in the kitchen cooking weird combos and enjoying them like michelin meals. Simply going out and finding random roads to go at times we did get lost but we always managed to get back home😅. We even had places that we kept as a secret. Still no one knows. Those were like little escapes for us. Oh...it was fun having her around. Now, we're grownups with responsibilities and jobs. And living in 2 different cities. Oh...i miss those time when we had no care in the world. The bond you guys have remind me of us. ❤ It always brings a smile on my face. Thanks guys!
It’s nice to watch people cook/eat when you don’t have much to eat. I eat and pretend like I’m eating something good 😂 rn I’m eating beef hotdogs cut up into tiny pieces with hot sauce on the side as dip. I don’t have hot dog buns or bread, and I don’t have ketchup or mustard 😂

I love how with some Korean foods you just add whatever ingredients you have with the original food and it smacks
Cooking in white is a super brave move for anyone. Eating in white is super brave. You did both beautifully 😅
