The parents are correct. Music isn't helping anyone. It's good as a hobby but not as a career. If you want to help people mentally, there's other ways to do that, like becoming a psychologist, nurse, lawyer, consultant, etc. Not a singer.
The parents literally encouraged her to get into Stanford, that's more important. Stanford also has a music department I'm pretty sure. But it'd be better to be realistic + try to make an actual difference in the world.

"well, good, if she doesnt want to be the person we want her to be, then she could just leave forever and never return!" Grayson said. "she doesnt deserve to be called daughter!"
"well, then that just proves it then... you don't deserve ava at all." kaltie says. "because if you really love her a lot, then you should be supporting her instead of forcing her to become the person you want her to be!"
"but her dreams is just wasting time, she need to focus-" helen says, before kaltie cuts her off.
"it doesnt matter if it wastes time or not. as long if it makes her happy, it's a sign that it's all worth it." kaltie says. "let me ask you something. would you rather letting ava chase after her own dreams and making herself happy, or will you just force her to do what she does not want to do?"

as kaltie turns to leave, both of ava's parents starts to reconsider their actions and they start to wonder if kaltie is really telling the truth the whole time. knowing that what they did is wrong, helen enter's ava's room and takes sight of a scrunched up flyer, and finds out where ava's going to: dharla's diner.
"I think we know what needs to be done now." helen says, as she shows the flyer to grayson, and they leave the house to head to dharla's diner: AKA where ava's heading now.

I could not agree more. I knew a girl, who I was in love with, who has parents, and a brother, that judges people before getting to know them. I've been Goth for 16 years. I'm also a Metallhead.. 16 yrs too. I listen to Goth Rock, Darkwave, and Deathrock and Technical Death Metal etc.. I dress Goth/Alt mainly. I'm a very chill person too.. I paint, draw and create music.. I know it's pointless trying to convience others that not all goths are bad or this or that.. as a person who is Goth and dresses this way.. it just makes me feel comfortable, safe and chill.. compared to an Old Navy shirt lol...

The parents are correct. Music isn't helping anyone. It's good as a hobby but not as a career. If you want to help people mentally, there's other ways to do that, like becoming a psychologist, nurse, lawyer, consultant, etc. Not a singer.
The parents literally encouraged her to get into Stanford, that's more important. Stanford also has a music department I'm pretty sure. But it'd be better to be realistic + try to make an actual difference in the world.
