Those were *pills* pre scripted by her doctor.
She was on Zoloft, a common SSRI used to treat depression and PTSD. It is not a controlled substance or addictive. It is advised not to drive on it during the early stages of treatment because it can cause dizziness, sleepiness, or blurred vision. Since it can impair you to a degree, she was technically "under the influence" while driving which was a mistake, but to call her a drug addict is incorrect👍🏻
