Which means performance(fps) is ‘Bound’ to either the server, OR the game just simply isn’t optimized. Try monitoring your PC performance using a program such as MSI Afterburner and you’ll see for yourself.
Even if fps doesn't change much, if they implement it as well as they did in metro exodus enhanced, it'll look way better than current taa. Plus I believe the newer versions of dlss fixed a lot of the glitches in metro's version.

have u tried messing with the settings? i run no flashlight. and just toggle that one setting on and boom. shit is lit up. and the whole game looks more colorfull as well.
Try messing with your monitor settings, it might have diferent modes that you can swich from. And also nvidia controll panel. You can boost up gamma, so night interchange looks like day...
One tip if you struggle with fps on 2000+ bucks rigs, stop setting everything to low, the game is optimized to run on normal or high settings. Its not cod we're talking about, lowering your settings won't give you huge fps boosts or advantages against enemies. Turn up those fucking settings and enjoy a visually stunning game with no fps loss! Or at least tinker with those settings a bit, i turned everything way up and i still had the same (if not more) fps as low potato settings.

I really question just how much this will help since I'm cpu bound even at 4K. I really dislike seeing 50-60% gpu usage at 4K and barely scraping 60fps on a 3080.

Glad I don't care about DLSS as I can't afford a new RTX video card. No GPU - no problem =) Just wonder when devs would start to use ray tracing for sound instead of light - that would be cool.
i get roughly that on interchange using a 5900x/3080ti/32gb ram... most settings are on low or off though, i have texture res high, and i have visibility set quite high aswell and taa high, everything else low or off, playing at 4K.
Looking forward to this, right now at 3440x1440 my 3070 is a little GPU limited. Dropping down to 3200x1340 gives it a few % breathing room, but that mixed with TAA doesn't look great. DLSS Quality would solve it.
SLI is dead and it'll probably be around a 15% difference for DLSS "quality" which is about typical in a lot of other games when GPU limited, but not everybody playing EFT hits GPU limits, I do personally though.
DLSS isnt for 4k only It improves FPS drastically across 1080 and 1440p So if implemented correctly it will be anywhere from 30-60 fps boost which is amazing for EFT Being able to play the game at a solid 144+ fps is not currently possible People asking for game improvements in the comments are so stupid, this is a massive improvement
Tarkov is mostly CPU bound. I have a 5950X + 3080 and play in 1440p. The game can not even utilize my 3080 properly and the frames and frametimes are very inconsistent.
Only thing is that Tarkov is a CPU bound game in most cases. DLSS will not help too much with the that. My setups and many other high res setups fps will be better though, good addition to the game.
Does any card which can run dlss really need it for tarkov? I dont think this will make any difference, since tarkov is very poorly optimized on the cpu end, it is already bottlenecking.

@@ltrttl I'll believe it when I see it as tarkov doesn't utilize the gpu (runs at like 60-89%.) I can get silky smooth frame rate at 144 hz, playing offline with no AI... The cpu is also not very utilized only working at 40-60%. I love this game and they have improved performance with patches, in the past and also this wipe, but I'm dubious that DLSS is going to make much of a difference, last point I have is that the game doesn't give more frames at 1080p then 1440p on my card at least (gtx 3070 ti)
This game is ram heavy..... My 4770K runs about 25% load with this game, the memory leaking is insanely bad. 32 Gigs at 3600HZ and it loads over 60%... Its a brand new PC as well
@@Celas-m93s you're playing in 4K? If not, then you think so. You see GPU usage at 99% while CPU usage plays between 50 and 70%. But that actually means the CPU is working too much. You can make a simple test. Play a map on online raid. Then go play it on offline raid. You will see the FPS is so much better with less lag.

they dont sell on steam because steam would only allow them to sell a limited number of copies under beta terms, they dont really need steam anyway the game is massively popular without it
Pretty sure it won't help to increase fps ( for most PC configs ), but I guess it can work nicely for some upscaling ( with Nvidia's DSR ) to get crispier image and even less aliasing.
@@ASIMO001 The game seems to be very cpu bound, I've tried changing the resolution down to something like 720p to save some fps only to notice literally almost no different to 1080p which makes no sense. Thats why I am skeptical about DLSS actually increasing fps, who knows maybe Nvidia will do their magic and optimize the game for them with the DLSS update.

I agree. Its far faster than regular TAA and looks good. Regular TAA has a latency hit, which I usually keep it off because of.

ray tracing is a lighting based software so that's not possible. Real time audio is already in the game but it's hard to do true dynamic reverb

RTX 2070 super, i9 9900k, 16gb and only get 80-90 FPS at 1080p. Doubt this is going to make a huge difference maybe for those with 3080s SLI

@@dbd6393 well, there was no stable 60 fps on 2060 in 1080p this summer (maximum settings), so DLSS should be useful for weaker cards

Any card that can do DLSS doesn't need it for Tarkov. The game runs ridiculously poorly on the CPU end of things.

How much RAM are you running? I've found 32 gigs RAM with your GPU can play the game at a fairly high graphic's level, with 55-75 FPS.
