nuvema town, despite not being my first town, will always be the saddest imo. especially in bw2, when the hilbert/hilda disappeared and 2 years later, his/her mom doesn’t even know if they’re alive anymore.

They're alive, there's unused dialog on bw2 for hibert/hilda in pwt, a proof that the developer intended to add them on the original plan, but somehow it's scrapped.

What I absolutely LOVE about each hometown theme is that you spend so little time in the game listening to this music, but they're ALL some of the best songs from their respective games. After your LONG, TIRESOME journey, you come back to your hometown and listen to the same song you heard all those hours ago. I always feel emotional. It's so poetic. I love, love LOVE it.

That’s because they had such an obsession with the Kanto region that it was heavily featured in all of the first four generations of games. It wasn’t even a full decade before they returned to it again though 😂
Man every time I hear Twinleaf Town I honestly tear up. Something I love about this community is that no matter where your Pokemon hometown is, we all feel this nostalgia whenever we hear its theme
Yeah, and I only played through Platinum once, and it was back in 2015. I never thought of it then, but the theme is so nostalgic, even for a somewhat outsider to Sinnoh like me.
I dislike the Gen 4 community. They all get on my nerves about how bad their life is. I just wish they would say something positive.

SoulSilver was the last birtday gift my mom gave me before passing away. I'll always remember her with New Bark Town's theme and our house as well.

These are my favorites (in Order)
1.) Littleroot Town (Both originals and remake version)
- Bruh, the original version of littleroot was a beautiful masterpiece, but damn. the remake version make me feel more nostalgic and they made it better! i cried. 😭 Littleroot is my first hometown (since Emerald was my first finished game) and definitely my most favorite hometown of all time. I love everything about Hoenn.
2.) Aspertia City
- Just a beautiful theme, I just stayed on my White 2 gameplay here in Aspertia City for about 10-15 minutes just to listen on this theme.
3.) Pallet Town (Let's Go Pikachu/Eevee Version)
- Out of the 5 Pallet town theme, the Let's Go version for me has the best composed and arrange version, very nostalgic you know. What a beautiful theme it is.
4.) Twinleaf Town
- I just also love the theme. I love how it is composed and arranged. And I prefer the night version though the day and night just look the same but i prefer the night theme.
5.) New Bark Town (HeartGold/SoulSilver Version)
- I prefer the HG/SS theme than the original. I love how this theme rearrange.
6.) Vaniville Town
- I just love how this theme composed. This hometown theme gives me the vibes of hope and happiness, idk. it just so beautiful.
I'd put Pallet and Twinleaf over Aspertia

I’d put little root, Vanaville then New bark. Littleroot because it was my first and I just grew attached to it.
I’ve barely listened to the Vaniville town theme but whenever I do, I feel like I’ve heard it a million times. It’s just a theme that sounds like childhood and home.
New bark’s just good, goodly good.
Aspertia got me so nostalgic. I remember first playing it 5 years ago in..2016? When I got it at a second hand shop, and when I played it on my sisters second hand DSI. The photo of her face from 5 years ago already is still on there every time I open it up.
Man the lack of respect for the original pallet town is really hitting home just how old I am. The remade themes are probably better pieces of music but it just doesn't invoke the same memories. I'm glad we all got to have this great game in our childhoods and that they kept it going long enough for all of us to have that experience. From a bug catchers dream to international phenomenon I'm glad we're all still here.
I have no idea why the gen 1 version sounds miles better than the gen 2 version of Pallet town

Vaniville Town is where I started at. Still brings back memories trying to figure out why my progress kept on resetting. (Didn’t save)
At first I didn’t want anything to do with Pokémon but then my cousin forced me to watch Pokémon xy on Netflix in 2015 and I liked it so I went to GameStop and got Pokémon Y as my first Pokémon game.
Hey bro, me and you share the same thoughts man… XY was the first Pokémon game I ever owned. I even hacked my 3ds just to play it again and now it has a few issues, but it was never more worth it…

Original New Bark Town made me so warm inside. Gold was the game I really grew up with. I was only about 4 years old when RBY came out in North America (I was born in 1994). GSC has a special place in my heart.
I never played gold, but my first game was soulsilver and after i heard the gsc version i loved it, the 8 bit is so full of emotion

Same, born in 1993 though. Even though I had Pokémon blue, Pokémon Gold was really the game I grew up with since I was a little bit older and could understand things better compared to being 4-5 years old

It hits me with a mix of nostalgia, happiness and sadness when I listen to the themes of New Bark from GSC, Twinleaf and Aspertia

Littleroot Town is the most iconic in my opinion just because i played pokemon Sapphire more than any other game but Pallet Town is a close second.
My first ever Pokemon games are pretty recent that is Pokemon Sword. It's the game which has set me into my own journey with my sobble on my side. This town theme has a close place to my heart and no matter which future region I am going to play, Galar would always be my home region.....

Man nothing will make the 1998-99 memories flood back into me like hearing the Gen 1 Pallet town theme. I've only played up to Gen 6. I love all their themes Gen 5 will always be special to me since I picked it up when I was in the hospital in 2012 from a horrible injury. I was on a lot of morphine so it's all I could really do until I healed. Pokémon Black and White + Morphine=Fun
As someone who has played them all all the way to current gens and will play gen 9... pallet town just hits a spot. Like there's no real way to describe it other than it just being my home.
@@chrishusted9296 in my opinion the difference between pallet town and the rest of the starting locations is that in pallet town the adventure begins for the first time ever. the concept was new, every kid and even adults at that time played it and it wasnt like" ah a new pokemon game with a new region and new pokemons to explore", but it was mine and many others first pokemon game ever. i think that is what hits (me at least) in a different way. but the other themes are magic aswell.
My favourite by far is littleroot town and twinleaf town, but ngl, postwick town isn't bad at all, it could've easily fit in the older generations!

I played gen 2 the most as a kid, so New Bark Town theme sounds the most nostalgic. Feels good, like a new beginning or a home sweet home type vibe, which is what they go for in these home town themes

My personal ratings of best hometown themes :
1. Littleroot Town (Gen 4, then 5, then 3 was what I grew up with. This one still impacts me the most as I remember going home after going to my relatives clearly with this game in my hands, in littleroot.)
2. Twinleaf Town D/P/PT (This song means a great amount to me, a lot of my childhood memories are encapsulated in this. Game I played the second most.)
3. Nuvema Town (A less long, slow and amazing melody compared to Twinleaf. This was almost second.)
4. New Bark Town G/S/C (perfecto)
5. Aspertia City B2/W2 (Amazing melody despite not having the chance to play yet)
BW2 is the game that came out at the time of my life I was at my lowest.. Aspertia city always gives me memories of that time..

1. Littleroot
2. Postwick
3. Twinleaf & Vaniville [tied]
Why is no one talking about Vaniville town though? I know X&Y wasn't the best game by far, but I don't think anyone can deny the music was stellar and Vaniville town is no exception to that.
Vaniville's theme is my favorite out of all of these. It sounds so peaceful and soothing.

Maybe it's the fact that Emerald and Platinum were the games that made me love Pokemon but for me Littleroot Town(Both Versions) and Twinleaf Town are my favorites, Twinleaf Town especally makes me tear up.

Twinleaf Town was my first town. Best themes with Route 201, Jubilife City, Cynthia‘s Theme and these Lakes.
But I also love Pallet Town and Littleroot Town.
I love Cynthia's encounter theme with the mighty piano, but her battle theme sounds like an unimpressive ghost-type elite four theme. She's a historian, just alter her encounter theme, not some dubstep Ghostly theme.

Everyones probably saying that the old ones are the best because they are nostalgic. But Nostalgia aside, the best would probably be Vaniville town. Now dont get me wrong, I played pokemon ever since I was a child and started at Gen 1 as well, but something about Vaniville town just makes it the best out of all

New Bark Town has probably the best melody/chords, followed by Little Root, but Nintendo hasn't really done any good remakes of the New Bark theme.

i started my pokémon journey with gen 5. honestly, unova is so special it has my heart. everytime i hear nuvema city and aspertia city it always make me in tears. it will always forever in my heart.
