This video was perfect and so detailed. I was in tears. I couldn't get my epoxy smooth. You given me hope. I will try all your suggestions from the video. Fingers crossed 🤞🏽.
Thanks for showing the step-by-step basics! I just started tumbling a couple of months ago as a casualty of the current times. Watching all those wonderful tutorials was a little intimidating, but learning to walk before running away with all the ideas I would like to try!
Thank you for the step by step and including the measurements for how much epoxy may be needed. This is the best beginner video I’ve come across, so informative! ☺️
You have by far the best tutorials, everything about your videos is great. Your tone, time, presentation, and your comments and resources. I would love a tutorial on the different epoxies, go over pros and cons of each and their best uses. Since there is no one epoxy fits all. I value your feedback and I dont want to invest to much money onto one cup.
Thank you so much !!! I needed to see that a final coat doesn’t mean just one coat. My final coat is 3 or 4 final coats. I was ready to give up! Love designing cup .. but using a chemical and expecting it to do understand what you want is the frustrating part. Thank you again. Very helpful. I’m letting every thing dry forever. (Sealer) waterslides) it takes me forever to make a tumbler. I need to be more confident and cut my time down.
Yay glad I stumbled upon this one! I’m having trouble understanding the sanding of the rim and the bottom though. Just wanting to sand a little bit off the rim so you can see the stainless steel? And I’m confused on how much of the bottom to sand and why? I’m just trying to learn as I want to start :)
So just a fine line to expose the stainless around the top rim and around the bottom rim if it’s bumpy and needs smoothing. Sanding the rims will also help your epoxy adhere better there since it tends to pull away from the rims
Love watching your videos and learning!!! Can you tell me what the product was you put on the tumbler at the very beginning to clean it? I can't wait to try my first one!!!!
Another awesome video with so much great information!! I've been making tumblers for a little over a year and I was still able to get some good info! I've literally been sanding my entire cup in between each layer so to know that I don't have to is a HUGE time saver! 😌🙏🏼🙏🏼 Thank you! And I'm glad to know I'm not the only one who uses sharpie to cover up those little mistakes 😂😉
You don’t have to sand between each layer but it does promote better adhesion. Sanding also isn’t needed when your previous layer is still tacky like with what Jessica does. But be careful with doing that. You need to make sure you mixed and measured properly.
@@haleyleal23 yes, I am aware. I didn’t realize Jessica mentioned it because I hadn’t finished the video yet. Which is why I went back and replied again.
I was getting fish eyes on every cup I made I ruined 3 cups and I was told my resin was bad so I bought new resin The amazing clear cast epoxy and the last 4 cups have turned out perfectly.
Thank you for all your videos but especially the beginner videos! I am also starting to do tumblers and you explain things so we'll! Thank you for breaking down each step and really explaining! Definitely going to eat h some more of your videos 😊
Hi, I'm new, have yet to make my fist piece yet. What is the cleaning product you use with the Maroon Scotch Brite pad to prep your cups? I prefer this method over sanding! Less abrasive on the cup itself! And your work is PHENOMENAL!! Thanks for the videos!
Love the quote you put on! :) Try using an electric mouse sander, it’ll save you a ton of time, energy and you don’t have to waste the final sand for prep.
Hey there! Newbie here...I am working on my second cup, and when I go to sand the rim of the cup...it seems to get chunky and leaves a residue...even after 12 hours on the turner...am I doing something wrong? Would love your feedback!
Thank you! This was very helpful! I received a tumbler as a gift. It had zero instructions for using it, & didn’t come with any cups or epoxy. I was clueless! One question, can these cups go in the dishwasher? Thanks so much!!!
Thank you so much Jessica for making these beginner videos! Great info, I was taking notes... I do have a question about the torch though. I dont know the distance to keep it at, either Im too close and make dimpples or too far and the bubbles dont pop. Any suggestions? Love, love, love all your videos and instagram posts

HI! so glad I found your page. dumb question when you say epoxy you mean just the epoxy hardener or mixed with the clear resin? I just bought my first bottle of epoxy resin
Love this video. I am just starting. Do you have suggestions beside peachy for glitters? I would like to use them eventually but want to get something a bit cheaper for testers? I have seen a few on amazon but I don't know what I should be looking for?
Thanks for explaining about the rough edges. I am having trouble with getting good coverage at the top rim of my cup. I use a leveler to make sure my cup is level before applying epoxy however I just can’t get good epoxy coverage around the top rim. Any advice?
at how many coats are you at when you're noticing that? It's not uncommon for your epoxy to pull from the top a bit. it will usually take 4-5 coats until that goes away especially over glitter
I have learned so much from your videos but I'm still a newbie. When making glitter tumblers, do I have to sand the cup to leave a small margin at the top? Or can I glitter and epoxy to the top, and just clean up the top of the rim? Thanks for your videos, you're such an inspiration!
I can’t find the video where you told us what spinner to buy and where, can you tell me that again please? Also I want it for a clear glass for alcohol ink, will the spinner you use work for like a whiskey glass?

Have you used the glow in the dark vinyl from The Vinyl People? Will it work after being epoxy-ed? I saw that the color changing one will not work on double walled tumblers, but there is nothing specific about the glow in the dark.

The epoxy used for tumblers comes in 2 parts.. a and b. You mix equal parts of a and b.

How long is the dry time between spray paint before I apply the glitter
It depends on your environment and how heavy of a spray coat you have
What did you spray your tumbler down with in the spray bottle was it acetone or rubbing alcohol?
Water

I’m not sure, I’ve never used that one I’m sorry. I don’t see why it would. I suppose you could a small patch test with some left over epoxy first
How do you clean inside a tumbler when the paint + primer get in side while spraying
Acetone and dry eraser then wash with soap and water.
