Old video, but everything this Breeder said is spot on, I own one and own several other mastiff breeds throughout my life time and none as compared to this breed of dog, they are sooo eager to please their family and easy to train, you only have to teach them something once
I have a Pressa Canario and it's been a great experience he's great with kids adults and other dogs the are slightly stubborn but definitely it's highly intelligent and doesn't realize it's not small it's loving and affectionate
Nope I socialize him I have a little dog also you just have to be repetitive more with a larger dog and professional dog Kennels find your personality and can give you a more suited to you Sanders Kennels did that for me i have Spinal surgery so my dog couldn't be aggressive if you want one Go to Sanders tell them KingKush handler Rob recommend you to them he'll get you what you desire
@@havencollection6457 yeah i know. Really high prey drive. Wants to chase anything that moves. Dog aggresive and a little aggresive with people, had attacked my friend before. Socialized him everyday.
Personally after watching this video I see that there's a difference between the current presa canario and the ones in this one one of the difference is the body build where the current presa isn't as lean and toned as the ones here the other notable difference is the head shape being more round than boxy and angular
Its not puppy mill if you have more than one litter per year.. If you want to have own bloodline and closed circle you need minimum of 20dogs in the yard.. And thats minimum for serious breeding programe
this is mac harris from nj panda turf he owned a blue brindle presa called arbaco that came from a guy named tobin jackson who bred english mastiffs. before that no one knows anything about the dogs background which wouldnt of been surprising considering the standard was created in 1989/90 then carl semencic exposed the breed and started to get imported around 92-94 in small numbers. real small numbers. 1999-98 richard kelly would take the presa canario name nationwide. but theres some still some issues on the history of the import dogs and this american presa canario. the reason he mentioned the bandog is because many have said his dog arbaco is a swinford bandog
@@carlc5131 Cool. The Presa is an awesome dog. I know breeders that had Presa's in the late 70's early 80's . That's why I made the comment. Look up Show Stopper Kennel and Guardian Angel Kennel
All this $500 dog stuff is backyard breeding real dog breeders sell dogs for thousands of dollars that's the real deal right there real breeds cost money
Presa along with the Boerboel are the best 🐶s ever‼️ I have both these 🐶s are amazing‼️💣🔥🌟🗣💯

So do they turn on you? Would you say they are as stubborn as a german shep?
@@infamousnova this is not a question on breed
@@infamousnova they dont
Have had many VERY GOOD boxers and still do, with a Pyrenees/BC mix, who is probably the most intelligent. Can I handle this breed?

I had to get an import straight from the island to get the dog you're talking about..
I used to have this video "Dogs that protect" Can anyone tell me where I can find it at? or a newer version of the same thing.
Does anyone know if Mac Harris continues to breed and how and where can I contact him?
Everything is not a Presa Canario this breed do not come black Blue and Gray and tricolor and Merle
The white and brown is apparently common in the working Presa's on the islands.
He’s right about everything.. it at be a casual decision to get a dog.. you need to do your research and be dedicated. These dog can be lethal

Definitely they are imposing… it’s good to see them waging their tail and smiling when they approach.. because they are terrifying otherwise
Where does this guy live at got these dogs. I like to get some off of them
Beautiful dogs and a smart af dude. What more can you ask for?

Was this video made in the early 80's? He said the Presa came to the USA 5 years ago. Looks like somebody is making it up as they go.
