yes, usually a mark would be "yes" but there's many different ways to mark when the dog does what you want. There's clickers, or you can do the noise that this guy in the video did. The mark is to let the dog know that they did good and the mark means theyre going to be rewarded.
Personally i don't like to lure the down from a sit at first as i lure a puppy into a down from stand untill muscle memory is better, and my marker is a release too whuch means come or go get the food. Nice training and as you know if two trainers agree the third one won't.
My family are brand new owners of an 8 week old working shepherd. Already (2 days) she has targeted my 9 yo year old son as a nipping toy and chases him and tries to nip his pant legs. Sometimes she hits skin with those sharp little teeth. How do I “nip” this behavior in the bud? Thanks in advance for your advice.
1. Do research on your dog breed and how to train it before getting it next time. 2. Redirect with toys or food. The second he starts biting, put a toy or a treat in his mouth instead. 3. Be mindful of where you play with your dog (Ex. On the floor vs sitting on the couch).
@@knowlvdge You must have used it wrong. Or got a "rescue" which means terribly bred with severe chemical imbalances. I've been using a shock collar for 6 months exactly as Shield k9 said to use it and it works wonders. Don't use it as a punishment, use it as an encouragement like he explains. Which means extremely low levels so the dog barely feels the shock.
These guys just don't want a dog to take to the pub and be good they probably want their dogs to compete. Also by luring gives the pup muscle memory and toning later. I do like your answer though😂🤣

Our 9 week old from bravo kennels is like 4 times bigger then that puppy. He is tiny like a pit bull puppy.
