I've been living with spinal stenosis for years and the pain and lack of ability due to it is depressing at times, but I'm glad I'm still 100% mobile. Nice to see such advancements.

Let's put the cost of building one B-52 bomber to help this research become a real successful treatment.

That’s amazing! However, I have a cervical spinal cord injury and have worked with 100’s of others living with tetraplegia. Outcomes can vary widely based on several complex variables. These news stories are great, but this story seems anecdotal. There are plenty of people with spinal cord injuries who initially can’t move but are able to ambulate after a few months. While others experience a more ‘complete’ SCI and do not regain function.
I love the story and hope these interventions lead to better post-SCI outcomes, but it really misleads the public perception about people currently living with a SCI.

AI for spinal injuries? Machine learning to control blood pressure? We do not even know which factors helped in this case on the way of recovery. This report is vague. We need more studies on that to call it "promising".

The cold water he was in, when the break occurred , might have helped. It’s vague as to what might have helped him regain sensation. Was it a complete break or was it only partial?

@@sclogse1 No that is a really small brained thought process. LSD is used for what ever you want to use it for. LSD comes from a fungus that eats wheat and rye and grasses generally. It is an isolate of the digestive enzymes of that fungus. You can use it like reverse eating to break down proteins. That is all that it does.
