The book is totally worth reading!! The tv show is a brilliant adaptation but the book goes into a lot more detail and adds some extra swoonworthy scenes of Matthew and Diana! Hope you enjoy the final episode tonight!

READ THE BOOKS!!!.... and yes that is plural.... there are 3 in the Discovery of Witches series... and they are making the others into series as well.... so worth the time. They are not short quick reads, but are amazingly full of depth and detail that sucks you in so that you will have a hard time putting them down.
The two palettes look amazing. I'm pretty sure I have all those colours in various other palettes but they're so tempting! The MJ one is surprisingly reasonably priced.
I’m obsessed with the Hourglass Unlocked palette. The bronzer is the best. I love using the bronzer in the crease and the peachy shade on the lid, then run them along the lower lash. Stunning! I’m glad the Lala whipped moisturiser doesn’t have spf because I think it’s a great night cream. It’s better to wear a separate spf in the morning.
I got into Discovery of Witches via the show and I couldn't wait to see what happened so I got the ebook. I think the show is even better when you read the book. There are so many tiny details that the show acknowledges, but reading the book added to it!
Last month, I went travelling around India for 3 weeks and forgot my entire makeup bag 🙈 As a makeup lover, I freaked out when I landed in Delhi but remembered I had packed my Hourglass Ambient lighting palette in another bag. Literally, just used that one pallet as highlight, bronzer, contour and eyeshadow for the entire trip and loved it!! Lifesaver & totally worth the price 💕 💕
Read the books! Deborah is also an historian and her academic expertise and knowledge of Oxford comes through in her fiction writing. She really is a great author, so it's definitely worth reading the books to compliment the tv series. 😊
The discovery of witches trilogy is amazing! I’ve re-read them at least 3 times since they’ve been out. There are some differences in the book but you’ll know the main plot from the show. You should still read them though! Highly highly recommend.
Morgan if Fleur doesn’t respond I think it’s sally Hansen from her last faves however topshop do a colour very similar called shrimpy that with a clear top coat would look the same
Definitely read the book(s) of Discovery of WItches - I stopped watching the series after 2 episodes then read the books and they just add loads of detail but the tv show definitely won't spoil reading the books!
Louisa Davis I did the same, watching the rest of the series once I’d read the book helped it to make so much more sense - like the whole Knights of Lazurus bit which is only covered in about 2 seconds on the show!

Absolutely read the All Souls Trilogy....the books are wonderful. I was able to see the first episode at a convention with the author, but we won’t get the television show until January here in the states. Can’t wait and glad you are a fan!
Those Ambient Edit palettes always look so much bigger in videos than IRL and seeing you hold it up is pretty much the first time I’ve ever seen it look as small as it really is. I think it’s because you put your hand over the mirror when you hold it up so it’s really obvious how it compares. So good job, I guess 🤷♀️😂
Hi Fleur, yes I would recommend reading the book! I read it in about 3 days (it’s quite long!) and then re-watched the series and it helped make more sense of a few bits. I’ve recorded the finale to watch tonight and am about to get started on the second book. It’s been great for me as I love escaping into a fantasy world, I’m not a huge fan of real-life TV/books as I prefer something supernatural like you 😊

Yes yes yes read the books!!!! I have listened to the audio books more times than I can count. I love reading but I play them while I am working from home. The 2nd book is my fav... they are going to have season 2 and 3 as well.
I personally have watched all of game of thrones seasons on HBO, and recently began reading the books. I definitely recommend reading the books if you’ve started watching the show, as they give you insight and more detail into the events that occur in the show, and you end up reading about things that the show didn’t include. Obviously if the show is true to the source material you look at things differently than you would have if you had read the books before watching the show, but it is still definitely worth it!

I started watching a Discovery of Witches & decided to download the series on my kindle. Read the first book but found it was spoiling the TV show for me as I’m watching it with hubby, so have put the next two books on ice & will read them later. Not supernatural but I love love love This Is Us, just finished series 2. It’s an amazing show, has me in tears pretty much every episode. Can’t wait for series 3 which is currently showing in the US but not over our side of the pond yet. Have also signed up to beauty pie, might have to get myself a candle next month! X
Think I might bite the bullet and get the Hourglass palette with some birthday money. One thing that would be great to see is you applying your favourites, so skincare, foundation, how you use the hourglass palette for your eyes etc. Just a thought!

100% read the books! The tv series is a really good adaptation but the book gives you way more context and little details that enhance the tv series.
