You happen to know why my lockscreen is dim when I wake up my phone? It happens now after I installed the beta. I find it really annoying, it goes back to normal brightness once my face unlocks the phone. I found that when the phone is looking to unlock my phone with my face it keeps the screen dimmed until my face unlocks it or it says face doesn't match then it goes back to regular brightness. I really don't like that and find it dumb because the brightness helps with the camera recognizing my face to unlock my phone. Please help if there is any way to change that.

@@m_poet_vayu no, that is terrible one handed mode. I am talking about how it moved things down from the top, and allowed scrolling the top of the screen to the bottom

The main elements are still usually shifted to the bottom third of the screen, but it seems that sometimes when there's too many buttons or clutter at the bottom, less used buttons and features are moved to the top of the screen. Plus you're usually able to swipe down again for the screen to move downwards which is a common feature we've come to expect in OneUI 4. Either way the buttons you'll be using on a daily basis are virtually always at the bottom in ease of reach, the only buttons moved to the top are rarely used buttons like settings and more options.
@@scorebatgaming but they stopped adding the scroll effect too. as their web browser, launcher and many Samsung screens still do mot have it. Plus they could have added that ability to all screens with the Android 12 but they decided to skip it.

Some things of One UI 3 look more modern, One UI 4 has other areas looking more modern than UI 3. Especially in areas that matter! Updating my S21 5g to One UI 4 as we speak

10:42 a tip that “usually” works for apps and services that you MUST ACCEPT to use and wanna turn off; just go to particular service or app in apps and clear cache and data to “reset” it. Should be ok and can always check in services under Samsung & Google accts to make sure those services are disabled as well. Cheers✌🏻

Do you know why Galaxy S series don't have Scheduled Power on/Off feature, which is very important for clock alarm over night? Almost all other phone do have it since Android 11. Just not for Galaxy S series.

I have been having trouble with my note 20 ultra lately such as visual voice-mail not refreshing and I have to delete all the data 1 to 4 times a day and problems with finger print even when clean and problems getting the internet to work with or without Wi-Fi any I have done all that Verizon support said to do but that only lasts so long. Any suggestions you have would be greatly appreciated

I don't like the rounded corners in the PinP windows. I though we'd left rounded-corner video behind when we went from CRTs to flat panels, and good riddance; I want to see the entire picture. Especially if the video is a screencap/stream with info in the corners. This is putting form over function and is not good.
Nope, I just got it 2 hours ago, don't have it either. Also: NavStar doesn't work anymore, and the picture-to-picture corners aren't rounded, but that's less of a concern for me.

The big change is not being able to record internal audio. What about third party permission for recording internal audio.....dose it work now? Did this update now allow for third party to record internal audio?? They say that Samsung removed third party permission to record internal audio with S22 phones.
I noticed that there is no longer a phone icon in the message text app that allows me to make a call directly from the text app. I always liked being able to place a call directly from my text app. Any solutions?

SIM Card manager is present in One UI 3.1 on S20+ 5G Android 11. I think it depends on hardware (dual SIM, eSIM) rather than One UI version.
I expected more. It was Google's biggest ui enhancement, samsung could have done better

Icons is an option in Theme Park now, and it allows you to use 3rd Party icon packs from in the One UI interface.
in 3.1 ?! if yes how can i use 3rd icon because only icon from Samsung store available in theme park .
i hope we can get more customizations for theme park, its good but i wish we had more customization like from the samsung design studio

In S20+ after updation Video player auto fit screen option is gone.U can add that also 😀
You can also scroll that media output section down for easier one-handed use.

How do you know which one you got? I had two software upgrades today.
Look under 'About Phone' The 4 is still a beta....but i think you should have 3.1 at the very least.

In Safety and emergency, California S21 owners also get "Earthquake alerts" which displays under "Emergency Location Service.

Material you isn't in this beta. It probably won't be on Samsung phones since Samsung makes their own One UI skin and probably wouldn't integrate it.
