@@Shadow_Robotnik so what was he suppose to do? He knows, despite how much it will hurt him, sending him away is his only option for Nathan. On top of learning his baby momma wasnt Jean, you want him to just watch as his son is taken from him, essentially doing what Corsair did to him?
I'm sure someone has already sounded off about this below, but just to add --- episode three, "Fire Made Flesh", was a brief and kinda loose adaptation of the "Inferno" story (hence why Madelyne yells "They shall know my inferno!" like she's dropping a reference). I thought they did a really, really good job actually lightening that story up and treating all the characters involved, especially Maddie, kinder than the comics did. But in the comics the Inferno itself kicks off because Madelyne is manipulated and tricked into becoming The Goblin Queen during a very vulnerable time by a demon named N'Astirh and his enforcer S'ym. She actually controls hordes of demons and goblins from the hellish dimension of Limbo, so her name makes a *lot* more sense in the comics lol. I was surprised they did go as hard on the horror elements as they did, but I wish that they'd had her manifest more 'demons' like we saw Bishop destroy at one point because I think that it would've looked cooler but also been slightly less confusing for non comic readers why she would've called herself Goblin Queen :)

Charles trusted Erik because he could *always* sense how much Erik still loved and respected him, so he knew that if he ever died Erik would *never* trample on his dying wish
Also, Magneto is based on former Zionist terrorist, turned Israeli prime minister Menchem Begin. Claremont had always intended for Magneto to have a massive redemption arc in his story.
Everyone already explained how Rogue gained Ms Marvels powers but one important thing to add is that she wanted to let go but Mystique ordered her not to let go
Jubilee ignites matter. Potentially, she could ignite things at the atomic level, causing nuclear reactions. Her fear of injuring people holds her back.
4:39 Love the picture of the original X-Men from the 1960s. Angel, Jean Grey also known as Marvel Girl during this time, Iceman who in these early comics looked more like a snowman, Beast in his non blue form and of course Cyclops. For the films they had to change up in First Class for timeline reasons. Angel was just a teenager to young adult during X-Men: The Last Stand same goes with Bobby/Iceman as well. Scott and Jean were also too young to be appear in First Class Mutants with Beast being the only member who was old enough in the films to be a 1960s X-Men member. 39:21 Fun fact in the comics Madelyne Pryor wasn't originally written as a clone of Jean. Originally she was introduced to give Scott a second chance at love while also writing him out of the X-Men comics, giving him a happy ending. This was after Jean's "death" in the Dark Phoenix storyline, real Jean would later return. For this show I personally believe that Jean was replaced with Madelyne sometime after the shows Dark Phoenix storyline.
I think to understand Magneto really well in this series you gotta watch the Asteroid M arc, the episode Enter Magneto, and then the season 1 finale after him and Charles escape the Savage Land. And finally the series finale. He’s such a nuanced character and this show does him so much justice
Girl, you are in for a wild ride with this series. As a long time X-Men fan, you are not ready for the drama, the emotions and the insanity of this show.
gambit can charge things with energy and that causes them to explode. He keeps the cards on him because they're easy to carry and he's good at throwing them due to his background. I think it's only things that aren't alive, but that can change depending on the comic and the writers idea of what 'alive' entails. That's why he was able to charge wolverine's claws because they're adamantium but the rest of his body didn't glow
So it helps if you've watched the original however the original does have a lower budget and everything. The movies did the X-ment dirty particularly Cyclops and Rouge; the only one they did somewhat justice to is Wolverine and Deadpool in Deadpool in Deadpool 1 and Deadpool 2
13:23 "Isn't this supposed to be a kid's show on Disney" actually had me laughing given what happens in just a few episodes. 24:38 "This is written really well" No kidding! That speech always gets me teary eyed. It's such an important message too At the end you bring up the kids show thing again. I'm sure you've figured it out by now but this is more of a show for the adults who *were kids* when the original show aired. Anywho, looks like many of your questions and much of your confusion was either cleared up by the end of the video or answered in the comments so I'll just say that I'm excited to see how you react to the rest of the series.
Yea that doctors concern about Jean losing control was valid....I mean we just saw her violently rip the roof off the car on the way to the hospital on accident...I would be afraid of losing my head if I was delivering her baby...lol
As a person who grew up with this show and LOVED it, they took the '90s show and amplified it for the 90s kids who are now adults, and I love this more! This is now TV-PG, so it's technically not for kids anymore. It is lighter than NCIS, but it still has NCIS moments. They took all the good parts from the '90s show, making it topical and even more important for those watching today. I did not change, the X-Men have always been ahead of it's time and brought up important points about equality and those who hate it. Also, the X-Men is a soap opera in a way, so love triangles are normal. Its comic accurate.
Rogue was a teenager when she got into a fight with Ms.Marvel and accidentally absorbed a very large portion of her powers and her life force permanently. Ms. Marvel was in a coma for almost 30 years behind that. The crazy part is Ms. Marvel picked the fight. Rogue tried to run, but Ms. Marvel just wouldn't leave well enough alone. She kinda deserved it🤷♂️
Ms Marvel (Carol) wasn't in a coma for 30 years, she was comatose for a short while but recovered with the help of Xavier but her memories were never fully recovered and what was had no emotional attachment, all the emotions linked to the memories were inside Rogue, so when it came to intimacy felt by Carol in some relationship memories, they tortured Rogue as she could never physically experience them.
"Isn't this supposed to be a kids show on Disney+?" Nah. This is a mature, heart breaking, soap opera of a show disguising itself as a fun 90s nostalgia trip.
Cyclops is the original badass in the comics. Nice to see an interpretation that finally does him some justice. Absolutely my favourite X-Men by a pretty wide margin. His eyes for record aren’t lasers. They’re concussive blasts and when he uses them they are portals to the punch dimension. In other words extreme energy/force behind it. When he ‘cuts’ that sentinel, that’s insane pressure/force cutting right through the machine. Produces no heat. Live action of him is an absolute joke. Look forward to hopefully righting the wrongs of IMO the best X-men to exist. Also, shoutout to my girl Storm getting her bada** sequence in the opening episode. Never got the proper respect either. She a queen after all.
Wolverine is in love with Jean. It’s like how the wolf dude was in twilight. He’s imprinted on her. That’s why morph was teasing him. He wants that life with Jean. And also, they definitely went through a lot in the old show. Morph supposedly died in the first season and was brought back in the second season by Mr.Sinister. Thats why they changed their face into the evil sleep deprived dude. That’s how they looked when Sinister was controlling them. I keep calling morph them and they because the producers wanted them to be non binary since they shape shift. I’m just showin respect
i love that neither the characters nor the audience knows for sure when jean and maddie got switched. it might have happened at some point after the previous show ended in season 5 or it could have happened before the previous series even began. there are theories by fans of the previous show on when the switch took place but in reality we only know that maddie was there for the last 9 months. but how much longer than those 9 months has she been there? days? months? years? no one knows for sure.
jubilee refers to her powers as "fireworks" but her powers are far more than that. she essentially uses her powers in low power mode because at the upper ranges of her powers she can detonate matter at the subatomic level. essentially she has the power of nuclear fusion aka the way that the sun powers itself. so her powers are EXTREMLY powerful but she is afraid of what her powers are capable of so she generally sticks to firing "fireworks" which she can use to stun or blind people. (at least thats what its like in the comics. what they do with her powers here is anyone guess.)
This is based on the X-Men back when the X-Men were great. They've gone SEVERELY downhill in the last 27 years, since the live-action movies came out and messed up people's perception and expectations of who and what the X-Men are and can be.
And because Marvel lost access to them to Fox for movies, Marvel Comics de-emphasized (and effectively removed) Mutants in a bid to make the MCU movies more successful. Now that they got it back, they have work to do to re-invigorate interest in the name X-Men.
The thing about rogue, she absorbed Mrs Marvel's powers.. to the point of almost killing her so she has it like long-term it's actually covered and are in the original series. Also, Charles is not dead. He just can't come back to earth another storyline you should watch. .. but yeah, you know the baby the character was in Deadpool 2 the live action movie.. he's been on the show before as an adult, but they didn't know he was the son
Scott, Jean and Logan are in love triangle for decades now, in the comics. So it was quite expected, but that thing between Magneto, Rogue and Gambit... is something completely knew and we do question it if it is even a real love triangle. However, Rogue and Magneto were a thing in one story in the comics so they are following that one which caught most of us unguarded.
38:03 Hey, cut Cyclops’s dad some slack. He never wanted to abandon his sons. It wasn’t the dad’s fault that he was abducted by aliens, imprisoned, and then became a space pirate.
If all you know about cyclops is the live action, then you know nothing about him. He is literally the captain America for mutants. He is the first x-men and the leader of the team. Doing x-men without doing cyclops right is like doing Justice league/Avenger without superman/captain america
The reaction to the Goblin Queen name lol... One thing the 90's X-Men show did pretty well is that they literally pulled their stories from the comics and adapted them pretty well. Madelyn Pryor being a clone, being married to Scott, and being betrayed and turning into the Goblin Queen is straight up how the comics were. The movie versions of many of the characters were pretty off from the source material. Sometimes the 90's cartoons introduces new ideas, as well. Morph (the shapeshifter) was created to show how serious of a threat they were facing. This version of Gambit and Rogue is much cooler. Many fans are really hoping they turn these versions into movies. Cyclops is much more accurately portrayed here as well. He is the leader. Hope you enjoy the series.
Cyclops is a fucking boss. The movies made the mistake of only following wolverine. There are so many more X-Men they can develop. This show has been impeccable thus far.
If someone in your life, someone you've known forever, turns out to have been an impostor for an undefined amount of recent months / years... would you trust them blindly? 😅 Wouldn't you need to have some important questions answered before trusting that person again? 😂
It wouldn't be blind trust. I would trust in the relationship we have had for years. It's not like Madelyn/Jean knew she was a clone and was keeping it from them. She wasn't pretending to be someone else and she wasn't faking her actions or feelings. If me and my mom found out I was switched at birth and I wasn't really hers I wouldn't distrust her, she didn't know and it wouldn't change the love and relationship we had. Yeah I would want to know who was my birth mom but that wouldn't make me distrust the mom that took care of me.
some one might have commented this already but the M on bishop's face is a mark they gave to mutants in the future to mark if the person who was captures was a mutants or not so if you didn't have a collar the older sentinels know yer a mutant ( the upgraded ones can just scan you )
“They need another leader to unite them” Nah, Scott’s lead the team since he was a teenager. Wolverine needs to grow up and stop playing the angsty teen. It’s embarrassing at his age.
Cyclops led the X-Men technically the longest but it is very arguable that Storm led the X-men through more times of extreme peril, even when she didn't have her powers. Remember she won a challenge against Cylops to lead the X-Men even when she didn't have her powers. She's also been member of the Avengers and The Fantastic Four. That character in the FOX X-Men movies is not Storm. That dude they did in the movies isn't Cyclops either. But one thing the FOX X-Men movies nor the animated series has done is show what a formidable leader and hand-to-hand combatant Storm is. I hate that. It takes a lot away from her character.
@@bryce253 Storm has abdicated authority whenever things got hard. So no she didn’t ever lead them through tougher times. You dunno what you’re speaking on. lol

Just found your channel! Loved the reaction and am looking forward to watching more from you. Being brand new to your channel, I am curious, how many Disney movies have you seen? I’m always interested when I hear people say things like “this is not something I expected from Disney” I understand where the squeaky clean, completely cute and family friendly perception comes from with Disney, it’s their brand and they make sure to advertise their products in a very specific way. However, there is plenty of “adultness” going on in Disney. Like, super dark, super sexualized, very real mature themes. There is stuff in Disney that disturbed me as a child, but disturbs me even more as an adult, because now I truly understand what they were actually doing in some of their more “cute, fairy tale” moments. Fairy tales in general are usually very dark and grotesque. Disney did slap a coat of cuteness on the classic fairy tales of old, but if you look just below the sunshine and rainbows they advertise, you will definitely be asking, was this really intended for children?
I’m sure it was already mentioned, but Bishop and Morph are not the same person 😂😂😂 the M on Bishop’s face is a tattoo given to him and all mutants in his timeline to be able to easily identify them as mutants. 🤓

10:48 Understandable, Gambit's powers is kinetic energy. Anything he touches, he releases kinetic energy into the object/material and turns it into a grenade like explosion. However, the bigger the object, the longer it takes for the kinetic energy to connect with it. That's why he uses cards. They are small and quick to use. Hope this makes sense 💪
To be fair, she’s the Goblin Queen because in the comics she conjures up demons and goblins to do her bidding.
Gambit can charge anything with explosive-kinetic energy. It is theorized that he could charge the entire Earth, making him an Omega Level mutant.
yeah pre 2k X-Men were rad af and all over, we even had xmen chef boyardi cans and valentines day cards as kids : ) also magnus in the comics and MvC games has always been a omega lvl beefcake :D
100% safe to jump in... but I guaranteed you're going to wanna watch the rest because the rest is great..😂
Everyone already explained how Rogue gained Ms Marvels powers but one important thing to add is that she wanted to let go but Mystique ordered her not to let go
You get a Deasha and you get a Deasha!! (Oprah yell)!! That was a cute edit! 🥰🥰🥰
Gambit has the power to turn the kinetic potential of an object in explosive energy.
The helmeppo laugh was hilarious. Please continue to use it.
gambit can charge things with energy and that causes them to explode.
Cyclops was always cool - he just got done real dirty in the movies.
It's such an important message too
At the end you bring up the kids show thing again.
I’m just showin respect
great comment
i love that neither the characters nor the audience knows for sure when jean and maddie got switched. it might have happened at some point after the previous show ended in season 5 or it could have happened before the previous series even began. there are theories by fans of the previous show on when the switch took place but in reality we only know that maddie was there for the last 9 months. but how much longer than those 9 months has she been there? days? months? years? no one knows for sure.
Ur funny and have great insights this was a fun reaction to watch and my first time discovering ur channel- hope u do more X-men 97!
jubilee refers to her powers as "fireworks" but her powers are far more than that. she essentially uses her powers in low power mode because at the upper ranges of her powers she can detonate matter at the subatomic level. essentially she has the power of nuclear fusion aka the way that the sun powers itself. so her powers are EXTREMLY powerful but she is afraid of what her powers are capable of so she generally sticks to firing "fireworks" which she can use to stun or blind people. (at least thats what its like in the comics. what they do with her powers here is anyone guess.)
The funny thing is, you don't need to watch the original. Even in the comics, the x-men historys are that crazy.
There's so many things wrong with this comment I don't know where to start so I'll just leave it alone.
Cyclops has ALWAYS LED the X-men , while Charles was the helm
The problem with Cyclops in live action, is they chose to focus mostly on Wolverine, that all the other characters got left in the dust.
Yes I 100% agree with this. The movies seemed to star Prof X, Wolverine, and when they needed some action Jean.
Awesome reaction of my favorite episode of X-Men '97!!!!!!😊😊😊😊😊😊
This is based on the X-Men back when the X-Men were great.
I think the "M" on Bishop's face was due to being marked in the future as a Mutant...in his timeline.
4:00 My man Wolverine! 🙏🏽💪
If all you know about cyclops is the live action, then you know nothing about him. He is literally the captain America for mutants. He is the first x-men and the leader of the team. Doing x-men without doing cyclops right is like doing Justice league/Avenger without superman/captain america
32:04 Yep, X-Men has the most intense stories in Marvel. 😂💪
Welcome to X-Men. X marks the spot 👌.
Cyclops is a fucking boss. The movies made the mistake of only following wolverine. There are so many more X-Men they can develop. This show has been impeccable thus far.
It's worth to say that Cyclops' power isn't laser, its a concussive blast.
If someone in your life, someone you've known forever, turns out to have been an impostor for an undefined amount of recent months / years... would you trust them blindly? 😅
Wouldn't you need to have some important questions answered before trusting that person again?
@@DeashasAlwaysWatching
You're absolutely right.
She wasn't faking.
But *THEY DIDN'T KNOW* for sure that she wasn't faking. 😉
some one might have commented this already but the M on bishop's face is a mark they gave to mutants in the future to mark if the person who was captures was a mutants or not so if you didn't have a collar the older sentinels know yer a mutant ( the upgraded ones can just scan you )
“They need another leader to unite them”
Nah, Scott’s lead the team since he was a teenager.
You dunno what you’re speaking on. lol
While Storm has been worshipped on several occasions as a weather goddess, she actually is a mutant.
And the way the queen of Wakanda too.
The explain everything it in the original show which is so fun but Rogue is able to fly and has super strength permanently because she held onto Captain Marvel for too long and put her in a coma & Mystique is her adopted mother & the mother of Nightcrawler & Gmabit & Rogue were my fav couple in the other season ugh it’s soo good
38 min: well, actually Scott's parents were kidnapped by aliens (Shi'ar), not exactly traditional abandonment
17:52 Big Daddy M has always been this fine and sexy!
Why do you think they got two of the most suave, sophisticated, talented, & super sexy actors of all time to bring him to life on the big screen 😁
Sir Ian McKellen & Michael Fassbender are going to be a tough act to follow, should the time come when the MCU wants to introduce a new cast of X-Men.
"Cyclops is cool?" Always has been. The Movies did not do him justice.
35:35 Deasha, that was funny! 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Lmao ur sister dancing in the background in the intro. Great video as always
yeah it's definitely her sister lol
Just found your channel! Loved the reaction and am looking forward to watching more from you.
Being brand new to your channel, I am curious, how many Disney movies have you seen?
I’m always interested when I hear people say things like “this is not something I expected from Disney”
I understand where the squeaky clean, completely cute and family friendly perception comes from with Disney, it’s their brand and they make sure to advertise their products in a very specific way.
I wonder if they’ll cover the era when Logan was running the school…
Soldiers in the future are branded with the M Bishop has on his forehead.
So nice to see you 💝
They also are excellent at using the media
please say you have a twin....fingers cross.
Psylocke is mine marvel superheroes character ever in my heart💙
Yes. Fireworks.
The M stands for mutant
You remind me of Emmy Raver-Lampman from Umbrella Academy.
The black guy is Bishop

the m on bishop is for mutant he is not morph
Will you plz react to pryde of the x-men plz that's my request ❤
