It is not always easy to define talent... but to generate this wonderful music you at least need good taste, some knowledge and of course desire and patience, which I suppose are a part of talent... then you could talk about experience , virtuosity and creativity.... Mmmm, it is not easy to define talent, but without a doubt I think that you are an example of it! 🤗
If patience is part of the talent then I am a very talented man lol. I truly think that the synth did everything here. Ok I had to craft all the sounds but again, crafting a sound with this machine is just piece of cake. Good taste, ok I take it because it's free loot lol. Knowledge, mmh.. knowledge about music theory, naaaa. But knowledge about my gear, I take it too. Desire, it's part of the job for all musicians I assume. Anyway, thanks for the great comment and compliment, it really means a lot !! I should have dedicated this track to Robert Miles who was a master to create amazing stuff with very few notes.

Well, its a good thing these 5 notes were ready to come out and take us on a small trip with a unique melody at the right time. I always have the opposite problem. When some notes are inside my head, I'm not always in a position to dash over to my synth and play it, then it fades. Then I say to myself, well, I guess I'll just drive back with some jazz or classic rock on the car stereo 🙂 Big like, and nice work! Take care!
Thanks again man. Free little tip: when you got some notes popping in your head, just record them in your phone. So you’ll be sure to have them under hands every time. I do it a lot and a huge part of my compositions come from lazy notes I got in mind while biking, wandering, etc. It’s just complicated while swimming 😁

I've heard some people ruin some stuff on some decent equipment, so although it helps, it doesn't always make a hit. That's where the talent comes into play. Some people just don't understand the whole thing, or have trouble coming up with musical ideas. It's not for everyone. Even making a good rendition takes talent, knowledge and some passion. In the musical world there are so many angles, but aside from not playing like Beethoven, you know how to get it going on. I personally like simple playing, and this had a nice flavor. Very cool track and demonstration!

I hate the idea of what ifs, even though I'm guilty of it myself, but I like simple too. The track you mentioned is familiar to me, I'm just horrible with names. Yes it's a sweet track, and shines a light on simple and effective. Great mention. As of the lottery mhm...that's a proper way to put it. We all know how that goes here. 😅 The final boss really.

Very cool Fred! It reminded me of some of the early synth-pop bands in the 80s. I was particularly reminded of John Foxx and Visage.
The fractal zoom worked really well in this, I wasn't expecting it as I hadn't seen the description at that point. I don't know that I would agree with "genius", I see myself more as a chronic fiddler with software.

The John Foxx album "Metamatic" has always been a favorite of mine and captures perfectly that early synth pop sound with all its weird lyrics, like "Someone's gone liquid in the sheets, the sudden smell of burning leaves".

Brainwashing I don't know. I'm listening to music all day long while working so let's say 8 hours a day means approx 500 minutes so even if each DM song lasts 5 minutes, it's only 3% of my listening time. It won't wash much I'm afraid 😛 But joking aside, I love that band, even Dave's solos. And I DO love that clip too !!

c'est terrible ce que je vais dire@@nolake , on finit par s'habituer à la mort, à la perte de ses proches, et on finit par ne plus avoir de larmes. Depuis que ma petite soeur nous a quitté l'automne dernier (l'avant dernier, 2022) , le monde n'est plus le même, il est beau, il est d'une froideur, d'une chaleur, humaine; ne parlons pas du réchauffement dû aulaché pris de nos bovidés ^^.
Mon père par exemple, j'ai fermé ses yeux, et symboliquement c'est comme une page qui se tourne, et une force, SA force, qui déjà grandissait depuis que ma Carole est retourné à son éternité. Vois-tu, je me sens fort, conquérant.
Les problèmes administratifs et les huissiers qui dans leur sillage me font profiter ce cortège funeste d'emmerdes car ils sont de retour !
Bah oui je me suis remis en mode auto entrepreneur afin d' éviter de travailler au noir, facturer honnêtement mes prestations grandissantes elles aussi, et bien à la trappe le dossier Banque de France, et son éventuel effacement partiel de la dette, voilà dix ans que ça dure, que ça traine, et que j'te repousse les audiences, ce complique, s'arrose de fausses promesses, de faux espoirs, de plus ou moins belles paroles d'untel ou unetelle, résultat, on s'habitue.
Tout ça n'est que matériel, depuis mon embolie pulmonaire je vis des années de rab.et bien vois-tu mon ami, je suis là, debout avec un putain d'esprit guerrier, je me sens conquérant comme jamais. Durera, durera pas? Mon père croyait en moi, ma mère est surprise par le professionnalisme de mon travail, elle connaissait, sans se douter me dit-elle du niveau de qualité de mes travaux techniques et artistiques (bon exit l'humilité sur le coup là 😀) En gros Fred tout va bien, je n'ai peur de rien, pas même la Mort tant qu' Elle touche pas mes enfants, ma mère évidemment.
jHey, je ne t'ai pas dis (sauf si je radote) je fais à nouveau parti d'un groupe avec d'excellents musiciens, ils m'emmènent vers le haut. J'y suis bassiste, tu sais comme j'aime la basse mon ami.
Nous avons fait 2 répétitions de 2 heures et nous avons déjà 6 covers, dont 4 mises en place. Dans 6, 8 mois, nous prévoyons de jouer en concert, nouvelle et belle aventure "rock n' rollesque" à l'horizon !!
L'esprit négatif, sombre et imprévisible de la vie et ses démons ne m'ont pas suffisamment saigné pour que je me couche, les usuriers ne m'auront pas à l'usure, les huissiers peuvent contempler les huisseries de la porte d'entrée, c'est là une des rares chose qu'ils peuvent saisir, sauf s'ils désirent s'emparer de mon outils de travail et ma vieille basse à 245 €..
J'ai mis un genou à terre, PRIS ÉNORMÉMENT DE TEMPS pour me redresser mais la famille, quelques amis m'ont aidé, donné du courage, de l'amour et j'ai pu trouvé la force d'être debout, un peu bancal parfois mais debout. Avec une fucking niaque en prime ! (ça fait longtemps qu'on ne s"est pas parlé mon vieux compagnon de la décibel truculente , mais tu as toujours été bon avec moi, je t'ai toujours senti présent même virtuellement, et ton soutien sans faille font que j'avais envie de prendre le temps de te parler. C'est fait).
Bon c'est un peu intime tout ça mais de toute façon ce bout d'chemin n'est toujours guère fréquenté tu sais bien ^^.
Transmet mes amitiés aux deux amis Belges (j'ai les visages mais pas les noms, l'un d'eux est un excellent artiste et l'autre a une oreille fine) que j'ai eu le plaisir de connaitre grâce à toi.
