  • Rockhounding for green Grossular Garnets found deep in the Wah Wah Mountains west of Milford, Utah. This is a very remote area, but the views are fantastic and the treasures are awesome! Towards the end of the video, I show some pieces that I polished as well as a piece of polished matrix with garnets inside.

    Is there any certain place on Wah Wah Mountain to find the best garnets?

    What would be really amazing is if some of those had titanium oxide (Rutile) inclusions and they were Green Star Garnets

    why are you using a paint can opener to chisel out those garnets?

    • @utah_rockhound
      @utah_rockhound  9 месяцев назад

      Totally a preference thing, I like using a heavy duty flat-head screwdriver for more precision chiseling.
