I swear to dog you only reason you do these videos, is to show us how good your memory is by remembering the specs you just studied for 2 months leading up to this event. I really get sick of Hearing all of it so,I'm I'm subscribing
I love these old muscle cars, especially unrestored survivors! One of the favorite things that come with the cars is the stories! I can listen all day about the old days racing stories
I live around the corner from Herb. I run into him around town at parts, stores, and gas stations. always takes time to say hello. Super nice guy! You need to come to Burlington and check out the museum, it’s worth the trip.
I was there Saturday, i had to meet Tom from TK racing and Nick from Nick's Garage. I own 68 engines most in factory crate's from the 60s and 70s. Every engine i own are rare today. Hopefully to evale 2 with Tom and Nick
I live around the corner from Herb. He drives by the house, driving some rare Chryslers on a regular basis. Super nice guy, always has time to say hello when I see him. The museum him and his son have is awesome, It’s worth taking a trip to see!
Parker, once again you've done a great job with bringing awesome content and stories from an era like no other one in racing! Thank you! Looking forward to the next video brother!😎🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Parker great video and thanks for all you do with the videos you make. you hit this one out of the ballpark. great stories from racers & alot of History being told. all about the story of the Car
Nice shirt! KB was my grandfather, in fact my first car back in 1988 was his ‘73 Charger. Thank you for documenting these living legends- this is fantastic content.
To actually see that car that stood on its back end from the guy who did it.. wow that's unbelievable...from the good ole days ,. that's impressive to say the least....
One of the best car videos I have seen. Excellent job. You need to deep dive into these guys stories. Not just details about the car, which I love, but of races and the culture back then. Great video
awesome video. i live about a hour from carlise and cant make it there all the time but i can count on you to us the car and the people, Thanks for sharing
"Sizzler" makes me think of a steakhouse..😂 Great video. Those guys were my heroes back in the late 60s, early 70s... I was just a kid..Thanks. Your videos are the best! So glad to see these guys documented.
awesome..great memories watching this video...my grandfather bought a brand new 68 coronet automatic...burnt orange(dont know the correct name) it was a great ride
Thank you for making and sharing this well made video. I cannot believe someone would ask $125K for a barnfind Superbird with non matching drivetrain = that is insane.
Parker /cameraman excellent video! did get there Friday, but I regret that I went with the wrong people and they wanted to leave just about as soon as we got there after taking the longest way to get there!🤬
That Dodge Demon looks pretty close to the 71 Demon I owned in 71. Same color, same seats and color. Mine had a 340 Thermalquad with a four speed. I put Anson slotted mags on it and had a Hurst shifter with reverse lock out installed.
The “Adult Toy’s” from Dodge and the “Free Wheein” package trucks from Ford are among the most unique and unusual of anything that was produced in the mid to late 1970’s. So many build variations and the addition of the aftermarket parts has made many of these vehicles difficult to verify after so many years and repaints and crash rebuilds. I have no idea how many Dodge Adult Toy packages were made and only an anecdotal opinion of how many Free Wheeling packages were made over the course of several years the Ford package was a very small percentage of production, sub one percent at best.
Was that A12 in Drifton PA...? There was a junk yard there with a Barracuda Grand Coupe that sat along the highway for 40 yrs and just a few yrs ago I noticed it gone along with others scattered around...
That sizzler was so cool Was it for sale? that’s the same package that the duster offered with the twister package. The guy with the super bee should buy you and your cameraman a steak dinner! what he was saying about M code could apply to multiple cars as it represents a special order V8
I'n not sure if you are familiar with the GM product at was made in Australia? As the Holden Monaro is very simular to the Camaro and Cheville. So much so you could be mistaken for thinking you were looking at the same car. The Monaro has same front suspension as the Camaro but a 4 link rear like the Cheville. Another interesting difference was the trunk rubber was attached to the lid rather then the body of the car, so that it would not get broken taking goods in and out of the trunk. Have a look and tell me what you think.
$125,000.00 - in this economy? - for a Super Bird he had 25-years and put 0 love into. He'll wind up putting it back in a field to rot as he increases the price ((((((vibe)))))). Reid Stevens, w/ the 500 & A-12, should be GIVEN that car b/c: he gets it, what to do, and how to do it - listen @16:09 to 16:26 - THIS VIDEO IS AN AMAZING PIECE OF HISTORY. Great job team!
You might pass on to Mr reed Stevens that Nick Panaritis of Nicks Garage just built a Charger 500 in yellow last yr. You may have seen him on you tube. I bet he’d love to pass on knowledge.
Special model. Weren't many made. Basically a stripped down 2 door post road runner. With badging, and a one year only lift off hood. Don't think they came with a/c either to help keep weight down. These cars are as rare, as the super birds and Daytona's. Then factor in the color and other little options when ordered back in late 1969/70, makes their value even higher. The green one though, is a full on mess. The owner has his hands full with that car. I wish him luck and hope the restoration is done in a way the car won't deteriorate as bad as it is now over time. There are only two Mopar restoration businesses I'd trust to do it, one is Dave's totally auto (which is local here in Pennsylvania, but he now only does a car every few years now, since his main shop just outside of Philadelphia was shut down. The other is graveyard carz, (mark worman). Just be sure to not let them cut and buff the paint. Lol, I seen videos of their detailing work after the car is done....not impressed. As far as how they rebuild the cars from scratch or nearly from nothing, they are quite spot on with their processes and methods.
The thing about buying a rare car that's in poor condition is that you'll need to find donor part's and/or whole car's that are also rare to restore it to correct speck! So you'll never ever get your money back if you're looking to flip it after your done with the restoration! Just get ready to pore lot's more money into it and keep it as a "big boy toy"!
These guys and gals are fanatics. So it's very unlikely, even at $125k, that you're going to lose any money on it. I've seen a few corrections over the years, but by and large the prices have always come back. Now when the boomers die off, it's going to be a different story. Already the folks my age are looking more at '90s cars than these '60s and '70s machines.
Which car are you taking home?
sure won't be that rough superbird for 120 g's.
Enjoyed coors light with u guys

That 78 Dodge PU Tophand has a real rare tack in it and a rare 440... WoW !!!
Awesome video! Love hearing the stories from the old timers who were there and lived it. Once they're gone it's just a second hand story.
Parker, well done video, it is wonderful listening to some of the street racer stories from back in the heyday of street racing
I love these old muscle cars, especially unrestored survivors! One of the favorite things that come with the cars is the stories! I can listen all day about the old days racing stories
92 years old....we should all be that lucky
You are incredibly lucky to be able to spend time with Mr. 4Spd. He's beyond a legend.

Great stories. Love it!

Great video, Sir !!!! Thank you !!!!
This was a great video. Mopar legends.
Absolutely a the best informative video you have ever made Parker
Thanks for bringing the show to us. Well done. Could listen to this for hours👍👍
Some people have too much money!…. Am I jelouse 🤔…HELL YES! 🙌
Really appreciate you allowing the 92 yo ol guy to tell his story. He is funny and certainly knows his stuff.
Fun watch, love the passion from the older gentleman 👍
Love your channel!! Keep up the great work!!!
seeing a sizzler demon is sooooo cool
Wow 125 for that super bird? Hoovie had a fully restored one with hemi (not matching number) for 125 I think. That guy is out to lunch.
Impressive! You got to talk with Mr. 4 Speed, Herb McCandless. Mopar racing legend! He outraced almost anyone on the drag strip.
Priceless stories of the golden age of Mopar, thank you for this !
Great episode!
Enjoy your content
I just left Pittsburgh I didn’t know Mopar was going on until I was booked to be there. Next year.
To actually see that car that stood on its back end from the guy who did it.. wow that's unbelievable...from the good ole days ,. that's impressive to say the least....

125k without numbers matching engine? That’s a bit steep
One too many zeros to me these are $500.º⁰ cars; if running
500 bucks won't buy a rim.@missingremote4388
For sure that's why he's never sold it thinks it's gold while it is a special car not worth anything close to 125k.
I thought the same thing I thought you could buy a running and driving one for that.
@@mikedezo424 Thought wrong
Interview with Herb M. . . AWESOME 😊
Awesome Video.
😊❤
Good luck to the guy with the green a12
How about a part two? Keep the great videos coming.

Love Parker’s videos. Looking forward to seeing him at Corvette at Carlisle
great video parker! I was there and its great to see your perspective on the cars and a lot a extra info!! my favorite is Reids a12!
This was an awesome video!!
"Sizzler" makes me think of a steakhouse..😂 Great video. Those guys were my heroes back in the late 60s, early 70s... I was just a kid..Thanks. Your videos are the best! So glad to see these guys documented.
You guys do a awesome job with your videos. Love the content!
Great story on the A-12 cars, the Charger 500
The yellow Super Bird is cool. But, 125k seems high with it needing total restoration. Lots of cool stuff on the video!
Dam--Respect to this Channel…. Wonderful Stuff..!!🙏🏻🙏🏻
awesome..great memories watching this video...my grandfather bought a brand new 68 coronet automatic...burnt orange(dont know the correct name) it was a great ride
Thank you for making and sharing this well made video. I cannot believe someone would ask $125K for a barnfind Superbird with non matching drivetrain = that is insane.
If you’re smart, it would be an investment
@@michaeladamo6279 Without the original drivetrain it is not an investment.
It’s a solid, complete car ready for a restoration. He is asking 125,000 OBO so you never know what he would take for it.
Crazy money.
Obviously he doesn't really want to sell it
Fabulous Video
This was a great video herb MR 4 speed this was a great video that last man was so nice to you a great video
Awesome stuff man
I remember a person that had the “twister” version of a duster / demon . It was yellow and had the side stripes and twister decal. It was a slant 6.
I love the Demon. I had a 72 Demon as my first Car!!! That Demon Sizzler would be awesome to own. My Demon had a 318 😈🔥😻🇨🇦.
Nice coverage...
George is a cool 92 😎
Parker /cameraman excellent video! did get there Friday, but I regret that I went with the wrong people and they wanted to leave just about as soon as we got there after taking the longest way to get there!🤬
And to have a convertible. Holy grail
God is a good surprise for me watching this video seeing Mr four-speed and his awesome cuda.
Old man is also a black belt in bullshitzu !!
But probably the coolest old school you could ever talk to!!!!

Herb, you are the one! That is,the one i look up 👆 to.I just like everything you are,and stand for,and sir,may i sit in your race car?

So many great stories, how do you decide which ones make the cut ?

My dad had one of those yellow top hands we use to tow my race car with it
But his was 2wd I wish I knew in 01 what that truck was
Good Stuff. 👍
Chris birdsong is the man too put your charger500 back together !!!!!
good job
Never heard of a "rag-top drag car", wild!
I don't blame the guy for not saying what it sold for you should have asked the Asking price :)
How man Top Hand Ramchargers were made? I bought the rusty carcass of one 20+ years ago for the 360.

Like wise brother!
I'd like to know what gear Herb started in. 1st or 2nd?
I could use a dash pad for a 65 Polara. ( double hump padded dash) if any subs are at PA swap meet.
Yeee Yeee
I spy John Baughmans record breaking (1997) 1968 Hemi Dart when you spoke with Mr. Mccandless.
The "top hand", yellow truck, must be a regional only?

Parker I need your help identifying my 69 rs camaro. How do I reach you?
The A12 is what, a '69 1/2 Super Bee? We're they all 'A12s' or was it a Drivetrain thing

$125K (USD!!) for a car in that shape without matching numbers everything is lunacy. OBO, how about $30K (and I would not do that).
