I remember my dad taking me here as a kid lol you had a flat back charger general Lee and a orange ram charger at the time it’s nice to still see you around Reid
There was a mopar guy north of Bangor Maine who had a bunch of Chargers in 84 as I bought a couple of pieces from him . ? Thats a beautiful shop that you have there .
His dad Ted bought an orange 440 four barrel SUPERBIRD from me in the late 80's and told he still has it. Very nice southern family and Ted was always a wonderful guy. Regards, John Lutz/Leola, PA.
@@solidsnakesimulation666 He doesn't have to. He uses the parts himself on his restorations. If you can't find the parts you need, try Stephens Performance or Wildcat Auto Wrecking.
Love what he’s doing! It’s a labor of love 100%, he’s not getting rich doing the restorations I promise because I do the same thing he does and there’s a lot more money in other occupations. He is right about it being an escape though; enjoying your craft once you have developed a skill set is very therapeutic 🙏😌

Wow! That car on the hoist is the very car you came home from the hospital in when your mom and dad were still in High School? And dad actually kept the car after all those years? That is mind blowing!
Great video. Nice to see you out my way (New England, anyways). I never knew there was a Mopar restorer in Maine. Always hear about Graveyard and Carthage but these guys are a reasonable drive for me.
I was born on Cherry Pointe Naval base in 77 when my dad was a marine. I'll ask my dad if he possibly remembers the car being there at that time. Hard to say how long it was on the base for. Talking about the sunroof Charger of couse. What an awesome awesome car. Cant wait to see it finished .
That Charger is 'over the top' cool. Most people no matter the age look at you sideways when you say you paid more for an NOS part to use. With all the bluster about 'Made in the USA' most people are quick to pick cheap. Re: first car, one of the cheerleaders at my high school in the 80s drove a GTO Judge convertible to school. I've never seen another Judge convertible in person other than that one.
When me and my family drive down to our grandparents RV there is this property with like 7 mopars sitting out in the front and when you look at a satellite image off google maps he has 2 acres filled with mopars
@RandyKopis yeah Mopar guys are crazy. That kind of restoration work that needs everything is not my style I've done it once don't mind replacing a fender or mechanical part but not the entire car.
@@TwoDollarGararge Lucky for me, I'm a poor bottom feeder with low standards. I had raunchy, ratty ass muscle cars long before they were cool, and never had the desire, time, money, patience, skills, space, tools, energy, or ambition to make them pretty. I just focused on drag racing.
weird,,,im from western new york and i know a couple firsthand stories about that 71 340 Cuda vert.. lol. been to Eds many times and i remember it. 100 buck says that Cuda had no VIN tag. Ed also had a 426 hemi chained to the floor in a parts shed.
Man i get it not wanting to sell anything but im just like him! I want a classic mopar as my first car too! Hence why im after a charger too, I wanna get one as my first car too at 24. (Times have bern tough but are getting better thankfully.)
I haven’t been to the places. The salvage yard had a 68 & a 69 Chargers. Also there is Cornet sitting in a yard without a house. in Fulton Mo. 68 &69 Chargers
Stevens Performance is another, in Tennessee I believe. And Wildcat Auto Wrecking in Sandy, Oregon is another. There's another one in Ogden, Utah, with a You Tube channel, but I forget the name.
JUNKyard is right. Sadly guy’s post cars like that for sale for 8-12k lol. I’m so thankful I found my 69 coronet for 3k. Nearly a complete car with an extra truck 440 and trans. Even though it’s in very decent condition my car isn’t worth 6k let alone over 10. It needs a new trunk floor, extensions a door skin and lower quarters to be a completely solid car. Average costs to have those repaired by a shop would cost 5k plus another ten for paint if you don’t know how to do it and it getting done right. So for roughly 20k I’d have a painted car but there’s probably things that need replaced I actually can’t see without dissembling it. Mind you that at 20k (add another 5-8k if it’s a charger) nothing mechanical wouldn’t have been touched yet nor interior. That’s just an example of how expensive these dodges get. So I drive mine as is. Ratty muscle is where it’s at unless it’s a genuine 1of 500 car or something special. Guy’s are just pricing everyone out of the market and it really sucks
The 1968 grill is the same as a 69 grill. The only difference is it has the center piece to make it look like it's a two piece grill that's doing difference from the sixty eight and sixty nine
There’s no B5 interior color code, that’s a exterior color, I’m guess it’s called Jamaica blue metallic maybe 🤔 thinks that’s the color of my 68 chargers dash frame and steering column is painted, upper part of the door interior frames and lower doors if they weren’t cover would have same as exterior color lol, every boob out there if it’s a blue car they tout B5 blue everybody hehehe, don’t call my QQ1 car B5 blue and how it’s the same, I have to hear that krap all the time
I remember this 1971 plymouth Cuda convertible 340 sassy grass in ED Henning's Junkyard 20:05 the vin tag was peeled off with needle nose plyer's. A complete as*hole move someone who was jealous did while car was in Junkyard back in the 90's. 20:32 one brother was a GM chevy but he had alot of 1968 69 442 cutlass stacked on right side of the yard there was also a 1970 Gto Judge convertible in almost same shape as Cuda. The other Brother was a Mopar guy he had them on left side of Junkyard. They Did demolishion Derby's as a Family and won many year's in a Row because their go to car's were 1964-65 Chrysler Imperial's now there is a Rule No Imperial's as they could be run up to 10 derby's before they were to far gone.

I think you still had the lime green convertible cuda at the time to

This is in my hometown the “parts yard” is huge, use to hang out with his brother some in high school, so cool seeing this

😥 Look at all that Muscle rusting away ! 😥
its not just rusting away, they are in a good place to donate parts!

They're there to help BETTER candidates live again. Ya gotta have PARTS cars to restore cars.

Reed is a awesome guy. Been there a couple of times. Does some of the best restorations on mopar cars and trucks in the country.
Does he sell any?.
Yes he does. Almost all of them are parts cars not restorable. He uses them for the restorations that he does.
Amazing, great stories / history and super Mopar Man. Thanks
Good thing he is using them for parts...👍
Great video, nice to see those amazing mopars going back on the road!
He's not restoring them.

I am from NH and the king Cuda car does look familiar. Maybe I saw it at new England Dragway as a kid in the 70s, not sure though.
That dealership was from WLS Motors in Carlisle. The owners were very nice people. Miss them.
i always seen rust bros checking the vin and never knew why exactly , thanks for pointing that out
Mopar heaven!!
That was a great video!!
Great video
nice to see this stuff.... i had 69 rt/se 69 back years ago.
Thanks
Great video, thank you for letting me know about where you live
I remember Uncle Henry's from the mid 90s
King Cuda was a drag car. If you look, the leaf springs have been lifted to accomidate the bigger drag slicks. Maybe Bucky Hess drove it. Not sure.
Parker great episode! Anyway we can see the 340 cuda picture of it sitting on the bus in New York?
Nos is the way to go
These cars are OLD Old Stock (OOS) 😂
For your dog that passed away, you should use the king c.U.D a to make a headstone for where the dog is buried
❤ Is what does it cause all frame restoration
Think this guy is just collecting vin numbers. Every car is so far gone..

I would take anyone of those chargers
That first car is a parody of the Mopar hobby.
On the Sunroof Charger couldn't he get like a Marty Report on it? Dennis Collins always gets the history on vehicles all the time.
For Mopar you would have to use the fender tag or the build sheet.. most are gone in both cases
Marti is only for Fords.
My AAR had 3 fender tags.
