My wife and I had the privilege of getting a personal tour of the Kramers place of business. Jim and JW are some of the nicest people you'll ever meet. I love what they are doing with the historic cars. See you guys soon.

Over the years I have bought lots of parts from Jim kramer. Thank you Jim for having the foresight to keep them from the scrap yard. Also thanks for doing this video. I always bought the parts at swap meats or he sent them to me. He has a great car collection that needs to be seen.

I went to keystone with my older brother back in the late 70s. I don't remember that barracuda but I do remember the Miller Bros barracuda. And that car was the one that made me a huge Mipar fanatic. I used to hang out with all the old school drivers like Carl Shoddy, Bruce Bowman, Romeo DeBlasio and Andy Varna. I can still remember cars like Baker's Delight which was a Belvedere. Carl's Steel City Wedge, Romeo's 70 Roadrunner, Bruce's Super bee and Andy's 442. Also other cars like Staying Alive, The King, The Count, The Alaskan(dragster), and the Mad Ratter. And let's not forget Gauls Speed Shop Nova. All great cars as well as great memories. Romeo had several Mopars that included his 70 Roadrunner, 68 Barracuda, 69 Barracuda, 70 AAR Cuss, 62 Valiant and his drove a 65 Hemi Belvedere. My mother used to date Romeo so is was able to see those beautiful cars on a regular basis. My favorite was his Roadrunner. Sorry this was so long, but hearing him speak about Keystone just brought back a lot of memories. I recently purchased a 2016 Challenger Hellcat..... My dream car. Thanks for sharing your cars with us!!!!

I got to meet Jim a few years ago. I needed the correct exhaust manifolds for a 1969 Charger with a 440. I was doing a restoration only to find out I had the incorrect exhaust manifolds so the factory exhaust would not fit. He doesn't advertise... Found out by word of mouth. I'll be darned he had what I needed. Set me straight did me right on the price too, what a great guy!

When they were talking about buying up the parts departments and such, reminds me of when I was working for a small D/Chry/Ply dealer and how there were a few boxes of various trim pieces, still in their paper wrappers. They’d be worth a pretty penny today.

Dont care what those car are, they are junk, and people think they are something.
Only because HEMI had a race heritage, and people paid big bucks for them.
People became obsessed with the word HEMI,and in the early 2000's they decided to bring the name back.
    They are just cars.
When mopar raced back then you could pick the pieces up of the track, every time they raced.
    Are the car fast?
    Yes.
    But they are junk!!
    They were all uni-bodied cars.
Trust this opinion,in the early 60's chevy made an impala that was the 409 ss,it had aluminum front end, bumpers were aluminum, chevy was the top dog!
It burned the pants of the hemi cars,we are talking 62 or 63?
    Look it up.
Look now a days people went from saying it's got a HEMI to saying I want a hellcat, there's another piece of junk,800 hp to get it to reach 11 secs flat,a bone stock z06 corvette achieves that.
People pay crazy money for these Mopers, some are pretty but they are not as good as Chevy!!!

    • @chaunceysgarage2476
      @chaunceysgarage2476 Год назад +2

Very passionate response, seems like you are ill-informed. The 426 HEMI's that Kramer has were not even released until 1964. 62/63 were mostly Max Wedge cars or 1st gen HEMI's that were a complete different engine. Several members of the FAST Class are able to push 800+ HP on stock displacement and cast manifolds. I agree they are somewhat overrated but they are not junk.
